A Fearless Blogger
2008-07-11 18:22:00
I was reading some news on the Internet tonight and came across this article about a blogger from Kabul, Afghanistan, who is a, lone, independent voice in the country. He blogs his thoughts and feelings about the country in spite of threats of violence. He has been even been jailed for expressing his views, his name is Nasim Fekrat. Here's an excerpt from his blog: "When I was very young

What's Going On In London??
2008-07-11 14:56:00
A few years ago, I discovered a wonderful ministry by Zola Levitt, a Messianic Jew or in other words a Jewish Christian. I have been a regular reader of his free newsletters up until I moved two and half years ago. However, I frequent his website and occasionally catch the show. Zola Levitt is now with the Lord and his Savior. I miss reading his witty humor and supernatural answers in defending th

They say hindsight is 20/20. For a Believer saved by grace, given to us by our Lord, Christ Jesus of Nazareth, our foresight should be 20/20."While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal." -- 2 Corinthians 4:18We know when all is said and done that this time, this eart

My Slide Show
2008-07-07 21:04:00
I'm currently working on a website and created a "video" to place on it. The slideshow is still a rough draft. I thought I'd post it here to see how it looks. It's very amateurish, but I would love to hear opinions on it. By the way, it's the first time I've attempted to create a "video". I'm having so much fun with it!   Authored by "In Spirit and In Truth"

The Righteousness of Self
2008-07-29 13:02:00
There are many frightful things in today's society. Guns and people with guns. TV shows can be a scary thing for a parent. Commercials alone can be considered soft porn. Driving can be extremely fearful when you consider accidents and road rage. Maybe you have a certain phobia that you struggle with. As a child, the zoo was a scary place for me, even though I LOVED the zoo. I always had that l

The Golden Calf
2008-07-20 21:25:00
I'm afraid a dangerous practice that has long been in place has taken a hold and has had a dramatic effect on those who profess/confess Christ Jesus and Him, crucified. The practice of reading, studying and interpreting the Word of the Holy God out of it's original context has implemented the start of many denominations, false doctrines, teachings, followings and teachers. But those who do subscrib

A Thought to Share

I was visiting a brother-in-Christ's site and commented on a post he had on Obama. I wanted to share my thoughts here on this post. In light of the general Christian perspective on Obama, and the election of our next presidential candidate, here are my thoughts on the matter. If we believe in a risen Messiah who has saved us unto eternal salvation, thenwe know all is temporal. If we believe that ou

A Pretty Neat Networking Site
2008-08-13 23:00:00
I discovered a pretty nifty social networking site called the LordsMessage.com. You can sign up for free. It gives you your personal url and allows you to invite friends to participate in live chat. It also has a message board, journal, blog and more. You can subscribe to iPrayer feed as well. The great thing about it is you promote your own personalized testimony. When the site was referred to me

The Lies We Tell
2008-08-06 12:52:00
When I was a babe in Christ, fumbling my way around the Word, there was a major issue I need to confront...the lies I told myself. When confronted with Faith, or my lack thereof, I would deny, in the face of evidence, the weakness of my budding Faith. To the detriment of spiritual growth, I would excuse my impromptu speech and/or action, that conveyed the very essence of doubt, the true source of

45 Years ago, He Had A Dream
2008-08-28 20:04:00
As an African American, I cannot express the contentment and interal joy I have watching an historical phenomenon come to pass, as a child I have always been inspired by Martin Luther King Jr. As an adult, I can appreciate, the profound wisdom, talent and insight, of this man and his vision for the future. 45 years ago, he spoke of a dream that seemed so far fetched and unattainable of his time. Gospel 101
2008-08-25 00:35:00
There is a sentiment among Christians that I must confess disturbs me to my core. I have heard this sentiment several times around forms and comments that I am compelled to speak about here. It is the idea, that unbelievers must "change or give up their lifestyle" to be saved. "They don't want to give up their lifestyle" Does this statement sound familiar to you? Maybe y

Where Have I Been?
2008-08-23 11:00:00
The past two weeks I have been "given to hospitality". My uncle has been staying with us from California. He has been such a blessing and a wonderful houseguest to have. It was sad to see him go! That's what I have been up to the past two weeks :) I am working on my next post and should be up within a day or two. Please feel free to check out the archives for older posts, as well my FAQ
