Dewalt powertools & all the accessories

               If I had the money I would buy all the Dewalt powertools and accessories ever made.      Dewalt make quality tools and I would customise my garage/workshop so that it would be almost like a second home. I have a big garage with an equally big upstairs lofted area but my financial circumstances don’t stretch to buying Dewalt powertools. My powertools have been purchased in Aldi and Lidl - two rival German discount companies. The tools they ‘offer’ are their own brand, cheap but quite effective for the jobs I do. Lidl’s brand name is ‘Parkside’ while Aldi’s is called ‘Power Craft’. The brand names seem to differ from country to country. In general, I prefer Aldi’s products. They seem to be of a better quality. But they don’t even come close to Dewalt ….. they produce the the best around! Who knows …. someday I may own my first Dewalt powertool ….. Share This

A woman sold her the ashes of her husband’s previous wife when she sold a ceramic turtle for 25c. The New Yorker, is desperately searching for the woman who bought the large turtle! The woman had plans to use it as a biscuit jar. The ‘new’ wife set up her stall for the yard sale while her husband slept. A buyer bought the large turtle container, despite being unable to open the lid. The ‘old’ wife (now on the ashes missing list) had collected turtles and the house had been full of them. Twas a case of time for the turtles to be evicted. The ‘new’ wife is hoping that the woman will discover the ‘old’ wife and return her post haste. Of course the woman could use the ashes instead of sugar coating on her biscuits! Share This

The story is that Lindsay has entered the Cirque Lodge alcohol rehab in Sundance, Utah. It’s the same intense rehabilitation program that both David Hasselhoff and Mary-Kate Olsen used to help them battle abuse issues. Cirque Lodge was recently named one of the best rehabs in America by Town & Country magazine. This is the third rehab facility Lohan has checked into this year after stints at Wonderland and Promises in California. Lohan is facing two misdemeanour charges of suspicion of driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license as well as two felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and bringing contraband into a custody facility. A ‘musical’ featuring Osama Bin Laden had its premiere at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. Jihad : The Musical portrays the al-Qaida leader in a comedic light. The ‘musical’ is inspired by Mel Brooks’ musical-within-a-musical Springtime For Hitler (from The Producers). It also features the lyrics: “I wanna be like Osama/Wear designer clothes beneath a robe/I want to kill people round the globe,” amongst others. Lee Hazlewood, a singer and songwriter best known for writing and producing “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’” for Nancy Sinatra, has died at the age 78. He died at his home in Henderson of cancer on Saturday. Hazlewood was most famous for his work with Frank Sinatra’s daughter, including writing and producing such hits as “Sugartown” and “Some Velvet Morning.” He also produced “Something Stupid,” a duet Nancy recorded with her father in 1967. He also produced songs for Duane Eddy and Gram Parsons, and performed on a number of solo albums and with Nancy Sinatra in three “Nancy & Lee” albums. The ‘Mean Girls’ actress was arrested in Los Angeles on the 24th of July, and charged with DUI - for the second time in two months. She was also charged for being in possession of cocaine. She was released on $25,000 bail and she is due in a Santa Monica court on the 24th of August. Dina Lohan has her own problems - she’s being sued for fraud for failing to pay back a $400,000 loan to a friend. Like mother like daughter it appears! Share This

The Survivors Of 118 118 page on the social networking site is packed with abuse about callers. The page is described as: “A group for survivors of the 118 experience: Numbers, politeness, quality, productivity, presence, cut-off, refund, angry, Scottish.. Bovered!” The Number 118 118 which runs the directory inquiries service is investigating the page. The firm has ascertained that nearly all the comments have come from ex-employees.The firm are asking Facebook to withdraw the comments on the grounds that they are defamatory to their customers. Ninety-nine days after their four-year-old daughter, Madeline, was kidnapped while on holiday in Portugal, Kate and Gerry McCann have announced the launch of a new section on YouTube . The YouTube channel called &lsquo ;Don’t You Forget About Me’ will be devoted to helping to find missing youngsters like Madeleine McCann. It will feature videos of the children with the aim of raising public awareness about their disappearance. The McCanns said they hoped it would find a different audience among the millions of young people worldwide who log on to the YouTube every day. The new site will be managed and policed by the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children in Washington DC. Scientists have discovered the universe’s largest known planet . It’s a giant ball made of mostly hydrogen that is 20 times larger than Earth and circling a star 1,400 light years away. Scientists believe the planet is 1.7 times the diameter of Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system, and has a temperature of 2,300 degrees (1,260 degrees Celsius). Lowell Observatory in Arizona, along with the California Institute of Technology’s Palomar Observatory and telescopes in Spain’s Canary Islands, discovered the planet circling a star in the constellation Hercules. Scientists first spotted the new planet, called TrES-4, last spring. Scientists at Caltech, Harvard University and the WM Keck Observatory in Hawaii later confirmed the discovery. Scientists are also working on the possibility of another planet in the same constellation. A 16-year-old who posted an unauthorised translation of the latest Harry Potter book online has been detained by French police.. The high school student from southern France was detained on Monday based on a complaint by the French publishing house Gallimard. Gallimard has published JK Rowling’s Potter series in French and is due to release the official translation of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on the 26th of October. It is known in French as Harry Potter et les Reliques de la Mort. The unofficial translation was available online within days of the July 21st release of the English original. The site was later shut down by police. Fans in several countries have already posted unofficial translations of the book online, including China. Publishers fear it could lead to a plethora of counterfeit books in China where piracy is rampant. Share This

Walt Disney and the producers of the Pirates of the Caribbean are being sued by Johnny Depp’s stunt double. He claims he was injured while working on the movie. Johnny Depp’s stunt double Anthony Angelotti alleges that he damaged his pelvis, legs and bladder while performing a ‘human yo-yo’ stunt, in which he simulated a 80 foot fall. He claims that Disney failed to properly supervise the stunt, and that his injuries have left him with physical and emotional pain, as well as lost wages and work, reports.
