; is to be remade. “Yugander”, remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s “Don”, was one of the stylish movies in Telugu that had great music by Ilayaraja. The original Amitabh’s “Don” has already remade by Farhan Akthar in Hindi with Shah Rukh. And the Tamil version “Billa” which was originally done by Rajnikanth is now being remade with Ajit.
So it is the time of Telugu remake. Director P Vasu is planning this remake. A young hero from Nandamuri family will act in it.

NTR’s latest film Yamadonga opened to great expectations, and the film did not disappoint the viewers. The film has certainly given a big boost to the sagging fortunes of NTR.

Domalapalli Rajnesh, who had directed “Vanaja” was awarded the Gollapudi Srinivas Memorial Award for this year.
It may be mentioned here that popular writer and artiste Gollapudi Maruthi Rao had instituted the award in his son’s name, who died while shooting a film a few years ago.
The award was presented to Domalapalli Rajnesh at a function held at Chennai recently. Popular Bollywood artiste and former Union minister, Shot Gun Satrughan Sinha, noted heroine Ramyakrishna attended the programme.

The Movie Artistes Association and the Malaysian Cultural Foundation are jointly organising “Bollywood, Tollywood Indian Star Nite – 2007″ in various countries across the globe including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia and Brunei. The program would be held for 10 days.
A press meet was arranged at Film Nagar Cultural Center in Hyderabad to disclose the details about the program.
Speaking on the occasion, MAA president Nagendrababu says, ‘Earlier ‘MAA’ had donated Rs 40 lakhs to Chief Minister Relief Fund to help the tsunami victims under the leadership of Dr M Mohanbabu. We have arranged a star nite, to collect more funds than that and our artistes would enthral and entertain the audiences on a grand scale through various cultural events at various countries.’
The funds collected through this program would be utilized for the benefit of poor artistes and for their welfare.

Noted producer KS Ramarao is planning a film on the banner of Creative Commercials under the direction of Puri Jagannath with Young Rebel Star Prabhas as hero.
It is reliably learnt that the film is based on a story scripted by popular Telugu detective novels’ writer Madhubabu.
Trisha and Sanjana are going to play heroines opposite Prabhas, while young music sensation Devisri Prasad is giving tunes for the movie.
As his earlier film “Munna” was not that big hit on the expected lines, Prabhas is keeping high hopes on this movie called “Shadow”.
The film would be released in 2008.

; is the only Chiranjeevi film in recent history that was out of the theatres within two weeks. The film has a very good story and is a remake of the hit Hindi film “Lage Raho Munnabahi”. The entire blame for the debacle is being placed at Prabhu Deva’s door. He is said to have copied the Hindi version frame by frame. Not just that, he even lifted some scenes from the Hindi version and simply pasted them in the Telugu version. Is it any wonder then that the film is a total washout?
