Faith - It’s Hard To Keep
2007-08-02 09:18:20
A few posts ago I wrote about how important it was for us to keep our faith, our faith in humanity, God, religion, even ourselves. Ironically, today I was tested and I wish I could say I passed. I had an interview today and the only thing missing was something I have no control over. What depresses me is that I can’t change one thing, and God had to take that one thing away from me. This isn’t the first time this has ever happened. Oh no, may the earth be smitten by God’s wrath the day that ever happens. Every single time I dearly want something there are always huge boulders in my way. I know this may sound exaggerated, but trust me its true. As soon as I realize that I want something, the first thought that comes to my mind is, “I should want it less, because if I truly desire it, it’ll probably never come true”. If only I had listened to the voices in the back of my head. So how does this all relate to faith? How does my bad luck have anything to do with your life? (

Oscar Pistorius - Lucky Or Unlucky?
2007-08-01 00:27:15
I was strolling around on the web on different blogs looking for something interesting when I came across the news about Oscar Pistorius, the double amputee sprinter who wants to participate in the Olympics. The IAAF believes that the carbon-fibre prosthetics give him an unfair advantage over the “able-bodied” athletes as such. Just to be sure, they are checking on him and performing tests which they will pay out of their pocket. That’s a little background information. My opinion is that he should Not be allowed to take part in the Olympics with the others. It’s not that I don’t have feelings or that I don’t see his pain, but I just feel, like the IAAF, that he does have an unfair advantage over the rest of the players. I’m no expert, therefor I’m not going to go into the details that BBC news went into, but what I will do is tell you what I can see from my eyes. If you watch a normal person run, and a person with these prosthetic legs r

TylerCruz.com - A Review
2007-07-31 23:31:10
TylerCruz.com, the Internet Entrepreneur, is giving away a free back link for a mere review of 200 words or less. Hell this is 20 words already. As soon as the site loaded, I could tell what the blog was all about, which means that it passes the 5 second rule. The 5 second rule states that it should take 5 seconds or less to figure out what the site is all about (it’s one of those “pro blogger” things). I clearly saw what the site was about and liked the way the site was presented. Unlike other blogs, this theme has clear definition of sidebar and they are not imposing themselves onto the content of the site. Additionally, there aren’t a lot of advertisements thrown at the reader. Even though they are there, they do not disturb the reader. One thing I disliked about the site was that comments were closed and you had to Register (i.e. create an account) to post a comment. To be honest, even though it might take 10 seconds to create (which the blog claims) I&rsquo

CompuWorld - A Review
2007-07-31 23:10:28
CompuWorld is hosting a competition where people have to write a review for the site and in return get a backlink. Not only that, but the winner gets a 125X125 Ad spot in the sidebar. So I thought I’d give it a shot. At the very moment I went on the site, I was confused like a mad man. I really couldn’t find where the topic started, where the header was. It’s like a ad fest there without any organization. My best opinion would be to either decrease the ad text size or increase the header text size because they look too much alike. They are the same color and almost the same size (I think the header size is small ). Additionally, one of the things I hate is when sites have those annoying full page advertisements that come on the page out of nowhere. Sadly, this site had it all. I was in the middle of reading one of his articles (I think 17 Firefox Extensions for Bloggers) when the full page advertisement flashed out of nowhere. To me, that was a huge turn-off. It

Good Vs. Evil
2007-07-19 01:47:56
We’ve all wondered why bad things happen to us. Every now and then something so bad happens that you lose all faith in the things you believe in. It’s an age old question, “Why did this happen to me?” We’ve all felt the pain, the ache of a broken heart, or the loss of someone dear, or the failure of an important exam. Hell, even the cut of a finger. We know how it feels to go down into the trenches. Keep that thought. Now, have you ever won a prize? Your first kiss? You achieving your goal. We’ve all felt that as well. Oh the ecstasy, the power, the orgasmic feeling. It’s amazing isn’t it? If we compare both the feelings there’s so much difference. While we curse one feeling, we crave for the other. It’s amazing how both of them are so disparity yet they’re incomplete without each other. Without one, the other wouldn’t be possible. They’re do dissimilar that they can’t exist without each other. (more…)

Page Rank Update - Contest
2007-07-18 10:11:18
Every few months, Google updates is Page Rank s. Now these page ranks are very important to bloggers. The better the page rank, the better of a blog you are (or they say that, I don’t necessarily believe that.) I’ve been waiting for my page Rank too, Google dropped it last time :(. So just for the fun of it, I’ve entered a competition at RyanShamus.com where you have to guess the next update, and if you guess them right, you’ll get free stuff. Personally, I like prize number three. Maybe prize number two and the least prize number 1. The rules are pretty much simple, it’s based in tickets and the closeness of your answer. Wish me luck. link

Life - Worthless?
2007-07-15 23:01:35
I’m going to start this post with a little joke. Before you close this page, just read the joke, it’s worth it. It’s hilarious and eye opening at the same time. And I promise, I’m not going to JUST post the joke. There’s some original content at the end as well. I recently picked a new primary care doctor. After two visits and exhaustive lab tests, he said I was doing “fairly well” for my age. A little concerned about that comment, I couldn’t resist asking him, “Do you think I’ll live to be 80?” He asked, “Do you smoke tobacco, or drink beer or wine?” “Oh no,” I replied. “I’m not doing drugs, either!” Then he asked, “Do you eat rib-eye steaks and barbecued ribs?" I said, “No, my former doctor said that all red meat is very unhealthy!” Do you spend a lot of time in the sun, like playing golf, sailing, hiking, or bicycling?” “No, I don’t,&

So I just checked my rank on Technorati and it displays 1. I check for one of my friends, and it says 1 again. What’s going on with Technorati? I know I’m happy about it, it’ll be the first and last time this will ever happen.

Why Man Created God?
2007-08-04 00:56:20
The definition of God I’m using here is not the creator of the world, or Nature to put it in one word, but more of the “wishes come true” or hope, the guiding star etc. I think we have all faced the question at least once in our lifetime, “Why was God created?” Why was this “Being” made who was all-powerful and could grant you your every wish? Why do so many people believe in him have hope because he exists? The answer is simple, because we need hope. We need something, or someone to believe in. (more…)

Enkay’s Blog - A Review
2007-08-05 17:03:05
This is a review of Enkay’s Blog The first thing I note while going on someone’s blog is their URL. I have to say, for an excellent blog like this, I was disappointed a little. What I like in a blog URL is something easily remember-able. I hate adding stuff to my bookmark and having to remember the sites through my bookmark. That way, I don’t have access to it on other computers. Luckily, due to its excellence, all I have to do is Google “Enkay’s Blog” and the first search is the blog I’m looking for. As soon as you enter the site you can see that this is a very nice and organized site. You can see the “Subscribe to RSS feed” button in the sidebar which means any user can easily access the RSS feed. Unlike other sites, even though he has advertisements, they do not clutter the whole page and are not the most prominent thing on the page, the content and writing are. They’re aren’t too many ads anyways. Content: One thin

2 weird things I saw today
2007-08-15 18:44:34
While coming back from work today I saw the two most weirdest things I’ve seen in my normal day life. Keep in mind that this is not California but Queens, NY An old man driving a Hummer A motorcop on a scooty Just thought after a tiring day at work, it made me crack up. I thought I’d share it with others.

When Does It End?
2007-09-22 00:34:39
We work all our lives, kindergarten, elementary school, Middle school, high school, undergrad, Grad and then to our job. We work for atleast 60+ years just to reach retirement? Is that what life really means? This kind of ties into my earlier post, but doesn’t it seem all fruitless to truly achieve that age where you’ve achieved everything so late in life? As a 16 year old I see so much ahead of me and I see myself asking the question, “Is it really worth it?” So much of work for those few years of ease. And most people don’t even have ease at that age either, they work. So life is pretty much work with a bit of fun? Shouldn’t it be the other way around? Fun with a bit of work? When did that ratio change? Or has it been always that way? Is it time we changed it? Read this story as if it were a part of my post: (more…)

These looks like Awesome Earphones
2007-09-22 00:01:04
With all their bling bling and what not. Honestly, I haven’t seen such good looking earphones ever. Go over at Fiddy P Blog and check out the various designs. Though I don’t know which one of those the person is offering as the prize, I’ll take any one of them, they all look so good. One of the requirements for the blog is to mention one of the authors Wordpress Plugins. I have to say that I’m impressed by this person’s skills. Not only did he just give an awesome contest, but he also gave me a good new plugin. I still have to see if it works or not. Check it out here. This should be a 100 words.

I feel like giving up
2007-09-20 00:19:29
Don’t you just feel at times that it’d be better if you just give up and sit down. I want to give up, I want to get away right now. So much to do, some much time wasted, I need a quite place. I need to leave this place just for a day, sit down and think. I really need to think. College is going to be hard, life is going to be hard? Should I quit? I’ll leave you with a quote. I don’t know if I should follow it or not. Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up. - Thomas A. Edison Quote from Quality Blogger

I signed up for PPP
2007-09-19 23:33:41
As I stated in my last entry, I signed up for PayPerPost and I want to tell all my readers (all 5 of you :X) that this service is amazing. If you have a blog and need money to promote your blog this is the best way to go after direct links and advertising. Not only are the requirements for most of the posts small, but they pay really good. For the post I’m making, which has a minimum of 200 words) I get $20.00. That’s $1.00 for every 10 words. I actually read a lot of blogs which give users “tips” on how to make their blogs more popular and well known. Apparently, none of them really work but what I did learn was that there are great services out there, and payperpost is one of them. As you already know, with the money I earn I intend to hold competitions and/or buy an ad place on some good PR ranked site. But that is all in the future because it takes atleast 1 month to get your full payment. I would suggest that all the other bloggers out there should join th

Am I selling myself?
2007-09-16 16:51:28
If you look at the post before this you’ll see that I’ve made that post for a site called PayPerPost. What this site pretty much does is that it pays you to write posts about other peoples websites and such, pretty much like a commercial, except you can skip over this one. I was talking to one of my friends a few weeks ago about this and he believed that doing so would be selling the blog out. Since then I’ve given a lot of thought on whether or not to do so, and as you can see I’ve decided to go for it. Now you may think that this is to disrespect my friends ideology, but it is not so. I’m doing this to enhance my blog, get more visitors, hold competitions and what not. This blog is like a child, you want to see it get better as it grows. There is only so much just content can do to help me get new readers. It’s like life, even though a child may be smart, he needs that assistance in going to school and to college. The same way, I hope to use this

Argue With People - A Political Debate Forum
2007-09-16 16:29:54
Everyone loves to argue about politics even if you don’t know anything. Not only do you learn in the process but also get to take out the frustration you have on the other person or their party by calling them mean names. On this site www.Argue withpeople.com you can have what I like to call a sophisticated political chat. If you’re not into all that sophistication and fancy language (makes a British accent) then you’ll be glad to know that this site is generally unmoderated allowing you the freedom of speech. First Amendment for the win. So go ahead and check it out. This post was sponsored by PayPerPost.

I’m A Princess
2007-09-10 22:59:59
Just the other day I had a milkshake with strawberries, banana’s and ice cream. Believe it or not, it came out pretty good. Now that the fun fact is over, you’re wondering what my milkshake has to do with anything. And why did I suddenly just change my gender? Luckily for you, I didn’t (or did I?). I just chose that title to show that I live in luxury. It’s not because I’m rich, but because society makes us live in extravagance. Do me a favor and look at all the things in your room. You probably have an mp3 player, a computer (you’re on it right now?), maybe a T.V., an electronic pencil sharpener (I have that) a couple of staplers (I have 2) and a lot of useless items that we can do without. If I look around in my room, I see so many useless things which I don’t need but I want. Today’s society is so vain that it respects you not on the basis of you but on the basis of what you have. It’s become a trend for people to have things they don’t need.

Just a few thoughts
2007-09-01 13:30:58
What would you think if you saw a African American’s car have a bumper sticker saying “black power”? You think that this is a proud African American. Now what do you think if you saw a White person’s car have a bumper sticker saying “white power”? You thought write, some racist KKK member. Why so? ********************************************* Have you ever looked at a rich young girl or boy? They look so cute. Have you ever thought that in a few years they might be cocky and stubborn like Paris Hilton? Is that being a sadist? Is that being a realist? Or is just because you’re a realist that you’re a sadist? ********************************************* Have you ever felt like you’ve wasted a lot of money when you give a poor starving man a dollar while minutes later you buy a $3.75 cup of coffee from starbucks which you throw away instead of refrigerating when it gets warm?

Favorite Inspiration Quotes
2007-09-28 18:50:16
Due to the knew BlogRush widget I installed recently, I came across a site called Favorite Inspiration al Quotes . As we all know I love reading quotes and trying to decipher the true meaning behind them. This site is like the perfect example of what some beautiful quotes are. Thank you Aspen for creating such an amazing site. I know this sounds like another sponsored post of mine, but this has nothing to do with any contest or PayPerPost. This is all about how awesome the quotes on this site are and how I wish I would have thought of such an idea. Before I leave you to venture of into the world of amazing quotes, here are two amazing posts I find inspiring and thought provoking. I will be writing about one of them in the future. True Leaders… Become as Little Children If you enjoy, remember to link back to Aspen’s website.

Do You Do It Yourself?
2007-09-28 18:36:02
First of all, get your mind out of the gutter. I know what all of you were thinking. Tsk tsk. But yes, I do, do it myself and most of the time I fail. I remember a few years ago I had a birthday present which was to build a ship out of all the wooden pieces given. Even though a step by step instruction was given, the pieces didn’t fit or I’m just really bad at it. Long story short, I’ve stopped doing it myself. (seriously, stop with the nasty jokes). But as well all know, Knowledge is Power and when you’re building stuff from scratch, you really need the power. If you go to a site called “DoItYourself .com” (wow I wonder what that’s all about) you’ll get multiple articles and over 100 active forums on several do-it-yourself topics. Admit it, we all need help at one point or the other. We’re too manly men to ask help from a professional so why not ask people who have had the same problems as you to “guide” you? Another e

Best Pick-Up Line Contest (Win 20 bucks)
2007-10-13 19:21:51
I’m holding my first contest on this blog finally. I’ve recently been able to get the resources to hold a contest, so here I am. As the topic header blatantly says, “give me your best pick up lines” and I’ll give the winner $20. Make a post on your blog, link to my homepage with anchor text “The King Speaks” and this post and just do the best you can. Just some rules and guidelines: 1) Please make them original. I know there are 100’s of pick up lines out there, but honestly I’ve red most of them and it wouldn’t make you win. You still can post them, just for the back link. 2) You must give at least 1 and maximum 3 pick up lines. Best will win. 3) As mentioned earlier, each entrant (person who enters) will get a back link from my blog. I know I don’t have the best Technorati ranking or the best PR, but hey, a back link’s a back link. 4) There should be at least 30 participants and/or the contest will run till eith

Just A Though II
2007-10-09 21:28:31
How come different languages have difference words for plural and singular. For example, is and are? The sentence doesn’t make a difference whether I say? “Is there any pieces of cake in the box?” or “Are there any pieces of cake in the box?” Either way I convey the message that I want some cake from the box. How does the Is or Are make a difference? And it’s not just English, it’s all languages. My question to think about is that whoever or whatever group of people made the language, why did they make it unnecessarily complicated?

Are you an Alcoholic?
2007-10-09 21:23:47
Maybe it’s just me, but I think everyone’s seen an alcoholic or two around? Maybe that bum on the street? Alcoholism is a growing problem in today’s world. Hell, Russia is loosing their total population due to Alcoholism and AIDS. But a lot of times, its a person who you know and dearly love and that’s where it sucks. Alcoholism has been show to increase household abuse and or crimes. Today so many people face this problem yet are either reluctant or in denial that they have A problem. If you know someone who has a problem, then tell them that there are programs out there to reduce their alcohol intake. Not just physical abuse of others, or chances of more crime, but it kills the liver. It affects the person itself and his health adversely. So tell your loved one that they need help, support them, and show them what beneficial effects curing alcoholism can have. Go check out this website for more information on alcohol treatment

Hop On - Take A Ride
2007-10-08 16:53:28
Sometimes I wish I had a bike, I would take a ride on the open road. I want to get away from everything going on. From this busy city life to a calm country road. I want people to forget that I exist, just for a day. No one knows my name and I’m a stranger. Start off fresh . I want to listen to my Ipod while I ride, have the wind in my hair and face. Maybe a cool summer breeze, with the sky blue. Fields of grass on both sides. We all need days like these where we forget everything. Every worry in the world gone, every annoying phone call missed. Listening to my favorite songs as I ride down the road to a mysterious place. Somewhere unknown. I need an adventure, an adventure without consequences, an adventure without time wasted. If only I could stop time. I’d ride down an empty road, not giving a crap what anyone thinks or what society says. Maybe then I’d be a happier person, maybe then I’d be more calm and concentrated. It’s just too bad I can’t.

Raleigh North Carolina, THE place to be
2007-10-08 16:21:53
Have you ever felt like just stopping your busy life and relaxing somewhere? Have you felt like you need one of those movie moments in life where everywhere around you is beautiful and breath taking? If you do, then Raleigh in North Carolina is the place to be. It’s a beautiful place, calm and quite. It’s not like it’s not a city or something, but unlike NY its much calmer. What could be a better place to have a vacation than in a city which feels like a country. Now your asking, why go to Raleigh? Well because it offers a variety of attractions. For example, for all the Museum lovers, there’s the Contemporary Art Museum and the Legends of Harley Drag Racing Museum ( sounds unique doesn’t it). There’s also a festival celebration in Raleigh celebrating the

But a sweet melody or tune What is love? But a funny looking cloud What is love? But saying “I love you” out loud What is love? But a delicious exotic fruit What is love?
