1970-01-01 00:59:59
I was shocked to hear this news and is seems to be happening again and again even at this 20th Century. Instead of cherishing the gift of God they abortion them. How cruel? If they think that they came to earth because of their mother carried them in the womb, I don't think it will happen this way. This is mainly due to the dowry system being practised I suppose. Build Your House Right
1970-01-01 00:59:59
An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer-Contractor of his plans to leave the house-building business and live a more leisurely life with his wife, enjoying his extended family. He would miss the paycheck, but he needed to retire. They could get by. The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter said yes, but in time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end a dedicated career. When the carpenter finished his work the employer came to inspect the house. He handed the front-door key to the carpenter. "This is your house, he said, "my gift to you. "The carpenter was shocked! What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently. So it is with us. We build our lives, a day at a time, often putting less than our best into th

Clever Question
1970-01-01 00:59:59
A bunch of smart MBA students about to give their final paper just got nicely drunk & did not study. Next day morning remorse filled them & they thought of a brilliant idea of fooling their dean to cover their absence. They painted their hands & dresses with oil & grease &, with disheveled hair, they burst in the examination hall where the paper was going on. They painted a sob story of how their car developed a flat tyre the previous night on a desolate road & how they didn't get any help & had to rough out back to the campus which they reached just a few minutes earlier. They pleaded for a re-exam after a few days. The dean said he was a reasonable man & he would give the reexam after three days. The boys worked hard for the three days & went to the hall confidently. The dean explained that since this was an extraordinary request, the four students will give the examination from four different halls, the question paper being the same. The question paper was given to the four halls.

Christmas gift
1970-01-01 00:59:59
On the last day before Christmas , I hurried to go to the supermarket to buy the remaining of the gift I didn't manage to buy earlier. When I saw all the people there!, I started to complain to myself,"It is going to take forever here and I still have so many other places to go. Christmas really is getting more and more annoying every year. How I wish I could just lie down, go to sleep and only wake up after it..." Nonetheless, I made my way to the toy section, and there I started to curse the prices, wondering if after all kids really playwith such expensive toys. While looking in the toy section, I noticed a small boy of about 5 years old, pressing a doll against his chest. He kept on touching the hair of the doll and looked so sad. I wondered who was this doll for. Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him, "Granny, are you sure I don't have enough money?"The old lady replied, "You know that you don't have enough money to buy this doll, my dear."Then she asked him to

Eighty Floors
1970-01-01 00:59:59
There were once 2 brothers who lived on the 80th floor of a tall building. On coming home one day, they realized to their dismay that the lifts were not working and that they have to climb the stairs home. After struggling to the 20th level, panting and tired, they decided to abandon their bags and come back for them the next day. They left their bags then and climbed on............When they have struggled to the 40th level by this time they had gone sufficiently mad and irritated. The younger brother started to grumble and both of them began to quarrel. They continued to climb the flights of steps, quarreling all the way to the 60th floor. They then realized that they have only 20 levels more to climb and decided to stop quarreling and continue climbing in peace. They silently climbed on and reached their home at long last. Each stood calmly before the door and waited for the other to open the door. And they realized that the key was in their bags which were left on the 20th floor....

"Awful," spat the apprentice. The Master chuckled and then asked the young man to take another handful of salt and put it in the lake. The two walked in silence to the nearby lake and when the apprentice swirled his handful of salt into the lake, the old man said, "Now drink from the lake." "No," said the young manThe Master sat beside this troubled young man, took his hands, and said,"The pain of life is pure salt; no more, no less. The Doll Maker
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Once upon a time in a far-away place lived a kindly old dollmaker. He had spent his goodly long life creating dolls of all sorts, making all the little girls in the world happy. He had kept up in the trends of the world and made dolls that say "mama", that cry, that stand up by themselves, and that even wink at you. But our dollmaker was very wise. He knew that his time for special contribution was growing short. So, with special resolve in his heart, he made his most beautiful creation. He gave her brown curls, which he personally felt had the most beauty in their long tresses. He gave her the bluest of blue eyes, into which he put the promises of eternity and into which one could gaze forever. This special doll was given long legs with which she could dance, run and play, and occasionally even walk a second mile. He gave her beautiful hands to work and serve with and teach all the other dolls. Her fingers were long and slender. With these, the old man hoped she would comfort those ar

Difference between doing and knowing

Ever heard the story of the giant ship engine that failed? The ship's owners tried one expert after another, but none of them could figure but how to fix the engine. Then they brought in an old man who had been fixing ships since he was a youngster. He carried a large bag of tools with him, and when he arrived, he immediately went to work. He inspected the engine very carefully, top to bottom. Two of the ship's owners were there, watching this man, hoping he would know what to do. After looking things over, the old man reached into his bag and pulled out a small hammer. He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine lurched into life. He carefully put his hammer away. The engine was fixed! A week later, the owners received a bill from the old man for ten thousand dollars. "What?!" the owners exclaimed. "He hardly did anything!" So they wrote the old man a note saying, "Please send us an itemized bill." The man sent a bill that read: Tapping with a hammer...... $2.00Knowing where t

God's Great Grace

Eyebrows were raised and as if in response, Pastor Thomas began to speak..."I was walking through town yesterday when I saw a young boy coming toward me swinging this bird cage. On the bottom of the cage were three little wild birds, shivering with cold and fright. I stopped the lad and asked,"What you got there, son?" "Just some old birds," came the reply. "What are you going to do with them?" I asked. "Take em home and have fun with 'em," he answered. "I'm going to tease 'em and pull out their feathers to make 'em fight. I'm going to have a real good time.""But you'll get tired of those birds sooner or later. What will you do?""Oh, I got some cats," said the little boy. "They like birds. Simple Exercise

Earlier in my school days we used to have two PE or PT periods in a week. PE/PT stands for Physical Education OR Physical Training. In the beginning of this period my Physical Education tutor will involve us with continuous stretching exercise for more than 45 mins then we all are allowed to go for playing our own games of interest like Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Kho-Kho or Kabadi.I always used to wonder why is he killing me with such exercise rather than allowing as to play straight away. The only way to escape from this is not to bring the exercise suite and get punished by kneeling down. We are supposed to be kneeling down the whole period of this class. But the moment Physical Education Teacher goes away we will relax to sit down and talk stories, by the time see the teacher in our sight no matter how far, back to the position. Fun right? Innocent or Guilty
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Once upon a time there was a very mean king who ruled his kingdom with an iron fist. One day he received some very distressing news a commoner was in love with his daughter, the princess. The next day he received even more distressing news--the princess was also in love with the commoner. The king wanted to put a stop to this. He knew that the only way he could permanently end this relationship was to execute the commoner. So he charged the commoner with a crime that he did not commit. The commoner pled innocent. As was the custom in this kingdom, fate would determine guilt or innocence. The next day the king and the commoner were in the town's square as hundreds of people looked on. The king held out two envelopes. Inside one was a card that read "innocent." Inside the other was a card with the word "guilty." The commoner had to choose one. He was a very wise young man and he knew that the king wanted to execute him no matter what. So he knew that the king had the word "gu
