Baseball…yeah…
2007-07-27 12:25:23
&hellip ;I have no problem with the sport of baseball. It is a fun spo=rt to playy, and somewhat fun yo watch(if there is nothing else on at the time anyway). If you are into stats, it can be the greatest thing in the world. The problem with Baseball is the ”unwritten rules” that people make up/remember what it is convenient to them. Sometimes these so calkled rules are for the integrity of the game, which is good. Other times they are just random complains from players who don’t like certain things other players do during the game. To poke fun at these bullshit rules that no one else has the guts to type up, I desided to make some myself based on things I noticed in the game overall. 18 Unwritten Rules of Baseball.

You can’t tarnish greatness
2007-07-26 11:37:12
No matter what stupid situations Adam Jones gets himself into, he will never be able to throw dirt on the name Pac-Man. Someone should just go ahead and demote him to being known as Q-Bert Jones right now. I have a new article published explaining why Pac-Man is still a great game character today. This article features indisputable fact, so don’t even try to disagree with it. Video Game Elements: Pac-Theory

Sonic gives me the blues
2007-07-24 22:35:32
Can anyone explain what the heck happened to the Sonic series? The green eyed dude with a ‘tude has been stinking up the joint for a while now. I can’t quite place my finger on it, but something is wrong… …Lack of good beta testing, unoriginal new characters, and horrid camera angles aside, what the heck happened to these games?gone are the glory days of Sonic 3 & Knuckles, here are the crappy days of Shadow the Hedgehog(with a gun! Oh my god, Emo Sonic has a freaking gun! SsssoooO cool!?) and Silver(yeah, another hedgehog! no one asked for another one, but Sega delivers anyhow!). Like any good fan of Sega and Sonic games in general, I decided to rant on about how the games now suck and what steps should be taken to improve upon them. What do I hate the most about the newer sonic games? lack of refinement for the most part. They could have refined the crap out of the Sonic Adventure engine and it would be great by now. Instead they continue to try new thin

Allow me to draw your fate
2007-07-23 21:21:52
When I was a child, I used to love drawing. I mean I really loved placing pencil to paper and creating artwork. I loved it to the extent of….The average RPG fans love for Final Fantasy games. Maybe just a bit less than that, but still. At some point my love for drawing and video games shifted. I am not sure when it happened, but I just stopped drawing all together and played Sega Genesis or whatever console I owned at the time. With boredom and the serious lack of quality new games, I have started to draw once more! sad thing is my skills have faded and I now struggle to improve. I wrote up a very basic article on improving drawing skills. I plan on doing some tutorials once I get back to my former glory. Right now I am drawing a bunch of mecha. I have found no good robot tutorials online, so that may be the first tutorial I do. Five Simple Ways to Improve Your Drawing Style

Haiku in my opinion are the hardest poems to write. You could think that you wrote something very deep and thought provoking, and someone can come out of no where and say that it was the worst possible creation that was ever created. These self proclaimed experts never explain what is so bad about it(or give tips on how to improve), they just speak their piece and move on. If I am ever in the rare mood to write a Haiku, I only share the non serious stuff with other people. I figure that since I have no idea what I am doing, I may as well have a bit of fun with it. Humor Haiku vol. 1

Theres reason to believe I’m a kid at heart
2007-07-20 12:13:52
Who isn’t though? we all have times where we just want to slack off and do away with any and all responsibilities. At times doing so will lead you down the path of failure and pain overall. Other times, it is just plain fun! While I have somewhat of a hatred for the community right now, I wrote a fair review of Gaia Online not too long ago. My current beef with the site has nothing to do with any of the features, it just seems harder to find coherent topics in the forum right now. Anyway, it is a somewhat cool concept if you are into anime. You get a chibi avatar that you can buy clothes for. You earn gold by posting in the forum, playing games, and also by just moving around the site. There are a good number of activities to take part in if you are bored. Check out my full review for more info. Website Review: Gaia Online

The furture of gaming: make it yourself
2007-07-19 11:00:30
Here is the cold hard fact about video games: Most of them are garbage. The developers do not create games for the love of gaming, they create games for money. this business can bring in allot of green. Instead of taking aall the time needed to make a good game, they sometimes cut corners and release something for a quick cash in. Don’t believe me? why is it that most movie games are crap? How come almost any game(good reviews or bad) can get a sequal as long as it had moderate success? why is it that the sequal to a bad game never has any vast improvements? I really like it when the Indie developers get a chance to release their stuff as retail. Games like flOw,Alien Hominid usually turn out really good. They either feature retro gameplay that works well, or they feature completely original ideas. Game development can seen really daunting to most because they have no idea how to st

Escape from failure
2007-07-18 11:17:25
In this big, crazy, unnessasarily difficult world we all are forced to live in, the hunt for shortcuts is always active. You must give your time, energy and a little bit of your sanity in order to get a small piece of the proverbial pie. There are people on this stupidly tough globe that are willing to give up friends, family and their own dignity in order to get by. I decided to write up a guide for others who would like to follow suit. The Phonies Guide to Success.

Brave new world…

Welcome, This is your overloar&hellip ;err I mean my name is Chris. This blog will be the outpost for articles I submit to Associated Content. Topics will range from sports, gaming, and basicxally anything that I feel is worthy of my precious tme to write about. I don’t ever claim to be the greatest writer in the world, heck, I don’t even think I am above average. I like to write for a number of different reasons. I write because I like to share information and opinions with other people… …I write for Associated content for the possibility of making money with said information and opinions. Nothing at all wrong with that is there? Whats that, you say there is something wrong with that? Whatever…

Arena Bowl’s done, real football’s coming!
2007-07-31 10:23:15
Not sure many people realized this but the Arena Football League had their version of the Super Bowl over the weekend. I am not a fan, so I can’t tell you who won the thing. I was watching the Brickyard 400 on ESPN anyway. I tried to give this league a chance at the start of their season this year, Didn’t really like what I saw. I actually liked watching NFL Europa on the NFL Network better(that’s just said). To avoid the same fate of the XFL, Arena needs a facelift.. Four Needed Changes to the Arena Football League.

Who really WANTED Blu-ray?
2007-07-30 07:59:10
Serious question: what gamer looking to snag the PS3 when they first got wind of its existence really wanted Blu-ray as a feature? I doubt people were going to protest if Sony said they were going to use the cheaper HD DVD format instead. As it stands Sony is struggling now because of this. Regardless of that $100 prce drop(it is bogus  because they had a 20 gig. model at launce  for $500, rumor is Sony just wants to unload this 60 gig. model and phase it out.) It will be a while before they start to move major units. If I had to choose what console to get, it would probably be the Wii for now. I have not heard about any unusually high failure rates, and I won’t need to sacrafice things I need just to affort a gaming console. Just to poke fun at Sony’s troubles on the gaming front, I wrote an article listing a few extras that may get more people interested in buying the overpriced hardware. Much Needed Features for the

Pipe dream come true.
2007-08-01 17:13:48
I have a very healthy imagination, also too much free time. A few weeks ago while goofing off instead of going anything that could be considered work, I pondered the possibility of finding video game items in real life. I think I was sober at the time, can’t really remember. Anyway, I figured if someone were to locate a warp pipe at random, there would have to be some caution taken of their part. Wasted or not, I wrote something illustrating what a person should do. Warp Pipe Etiquette

Bowser Vs. M. Bison.
2007-08-05 10:08:10
What is it about random video game character match ups? For some reason putting popular game characters from different developers against each other is the greatest thing is the world to some people. Apparently these people never played M.U.G.E.N. You can’t expect game developers to team up just to appease fans, but it has happened before. Capcom and SNK Playmore have done pretty well(for the most part) with releasing a few quality games together. But, an all star roster consisting of characters from one company is the most non SNK or Capcom fans can hope for. Video Game Hall of Fame: Fighting Games.

I am a future 360 owner, only if Microsoft gets around to fixing the Red Ring of Death issue. The failure rate of the Xbox 360 is estimated at around 30%. Most people are lucky as they have not encountered the dreaded three red lights… …Others have had to send the console in for a replacement many times. I don’t want to deal with this garbage. If I buy a game system, I want it to work for more than a few months. I don’t want to sent it back to the company just because they didn’t test the thing for design flaws. Just like my PS3 article, I decided to poke a little fun at Microsoft. Only this time, I came up with realistic yet humorous things to do with the console. Uses for a faulty Xbox 360.

Photoshop? nah, not really.
2007-08-08 10:02:15
-add random non subject related banter here- So anyway, I wrote up a review of Gimp. The program is pretty cool, but I don’t know if I would call it the “free photoshop” like most do. It can stand up on its own and does not need that comparison Gimp Review

Limewire: flawed but still good.
2007-08-09 06:03:50
Usually I tend to avoid popular things. Most often than not it turns out to be overrated and a waste of my precious time. Not like I don’t have other useless things to pay attention to. When it comes to file sharing I use Ares. It is free of viruses, somewhat fast and doesn’t bog down my computer. Instead of doing a review that would most likely turn out to be bias(I have no problem with it, so it would probably be three paragraphs maximum), I decided to try out Limewire . “Why limewire” you pretend to ask? Because it is one of the most popular search terms on Yahoo! Buzz and I am looking for somewhat guaranteed page views, that’s why. Limewire Review.

Shaquille O’neal will never be a legend.
2007-08-13 20:30:14
Bold Statement, no? Like it or not it is the truth. I am a fan of the NBA and have much respect for Shaq for his on court achievements. Though he is past his prime right now, he can still bring it and be productive for his team. Problem is Shaq has had many off court activities that hurt his credibility of being legendary. Instead of pointing out the obvious crappiness with Kazaam(I’ll write something regarding that later) I wanted to bring Shaq Fu to everyone’s attention. Never had this displeasure of playing Shaq Fu? good, don’t waste your time with it. Read my review to find out why this game is a black eye on Shaq’s public image. Play a lot of games over a total of ten + yeahs and you can gladly say that you have seen it all. So many things become predictable after a while…. …Video Game Cliches…. …Realy theres noting more to say about it. No multiple paragraphs to explain things needed.

Getting inside someones cerebral is very fun. If you know what your doing, you can cause some trouble and wreck that persons life forever. Sad thing is, doing something like that takes a ton of time. An easy way to mess with someone would be to psych them out. So many people fail with a psych, so I decided to write up a simple little guide on how to do it successfully. The Art of Psych

Adding characters(Mugen)

Cheating in football? Wow….
2007-09-14 16:12:40
&hellip ;I should care? I really don’t care at all. Goodell will handle it, so I don’t see the big deal with this.  It will not have any long term effects on the NFL anyway.  As I have maped out in the following article, the fans wont allow it. Patriot-Gate Is No Big Deal.

Brawl for all.
2007-09-13 20:05:29
With Capcom’s fear of releasing a new Street fighter game and SNK Playmore moving on with 3D installments of King of Fighters, 2D fighting games are just about dead. I don’t want to see it happen, but it is about to go down that way it seems. As a way to delay this, I figured it would be a good idea to do a quick overview of Mugen for the poor souls who are unaware of it. I have a few tutorials and reviews of pre made games coming down the pipe line. If my computer doesn’t decide to die on me, I should have all that published in the coming weeks! Email scams are silly.
2007-09-28 19:52:05
As are the folks who fall for them. There always seems to be some outlandish claim of wealth, along with some hard to believe story to go with it. No idea why anyone would fall for an Internet scam, but it does happen. I wrote a rant on how Nigerian scams are used to fool people. The irony is that I seem to be getting more of those emails lately. I think they are trying to target me…Not 100% sure though. Any who, the article is here. check it out.

Free money.
2007-10-12 19:45:52
There is no such thing as free money. The closest thing to that would be paid to post communities. Even though, you would have to spend time to accumulate and funds. Perhaps the best of said communities is MyLot. It has one thing that all the others lack: longevity. My review focuses on the overall aspect of this online money making service, as well as the general concept behind it. MyLot review.

Dragon Ball Z Mugen Edition 2

Review time people. I think most have moved on by now, but I know there are about six or so diehard DBZ fans left in the world. There have been a few attempts at Dragon Ball Z Mugen games, but they are all pretty sub par. I reviewed the best of the bunch, but the review applies to all of the DBZ Mugen games. Hypocrites for a good cause.

Ever hear of PETA? its some little organization that fights for animal rights. I don’t think many have heard of them, but I am very aware of their actions. They seem to hide in darkness untill a four legged creature is wounded. then all of the sudden they strike with the fury of a million douche bags! My peta rant, click this text to check it out.
