Oven Baked Green Beans 2007-11-03 12:18:17
Cook 1 chopped onion, add 4 peeled and diced tomatoes. Also add thyme to taste and season it. Cook 400g green beans until just done. Drain and transfer to an baking dish. Pour over the tomato sauce. Then make a white sauce. Melt 30g butter and add 30g plain flour. Gradually add 150ml vegetable stock and 150ml milk and boil for 3 minutes. When the sauce is ready pour over the green beans. Scatter some grated cheese and some bread crumbs over the dish. Place the baking dish in a preheated oven at 200c for about 20 minutes. Enjoy!

Cook the pasta according pack instructions al dente. Cook in hot oil 1 chopped onion with some thyme to taste. When the onion is soft add 300g diced beef and cook until the beef is brown. Add 1 diced yellow pepper, 1 can diced tomatoes, a splash of water and 2 beef stock cubes. Bring shortly to boil. Cover the lid, lower the heat and let it simmer for 30 minutes. Then stir in the pasta and serve. Maybe scatter some grated cheese over it. Enjoy!

Maybe really Dutch and it is very easy to make it. Cook 500g sauerkraut with 4 tablespoons water for 25 minutes until it is done. After 10 minutes put on top of the sauerkraut a smoked sausage. Also cook about 750g peeled potatoes in about 25 minutes until done. Drain the potatoes and mash it with the sauerkraut. Serve with the smoked sausage and a gravy! Enjoy!

Cook in hot oli 1 diced chicken breast and 100g diced bacon until both are golden brown. Then get it out of the pan. Cook in the remaining fat 1 chopped onion, 1 finely chopped garlic clove and to taste some thyme. When the onion is soft add gradually 300g spinach and stir until it is done. Season it. Add the chicken and bacon to the spinach. Prepare the tortilla’s according pack instructions. Then spread some softcheese over it and spread the spinach chicken mixture over it. Fold like an envelop and serve! Enjoy!

Cook 2 diced pork scallops brown. When the pork scallops are brown get it out of the pan. Cook in the remaining oil 1 finely chopped onion and 250g sliced mushrooms. Stir fry this for about 5 minutes. Add 20g plain flour and cook shortly. Add gradualy 150ml stock. Keep stirring! Let it boil, then add 150ml cream and the pork scallops. Just bring shortly to boil, lower the heat and let it simmer for another 5 minutes. Before serving sprinkle some chopped parsley over it. Enjoy!

Prepare the puff pastry shells following the pack instructions. Heat in a frying pan 40g butter and stir fry shortly 250g sliced mixed mushrooms with 1 sliced leek. Add to taste cayenne and salt. Add 50g plain flour and cook shortly. Add gradually 300ml vegetable stock. Keep stirring! Just heat a bit more and at last add 1 tablespoon mustard. Transfer the mushroom mixture into the puff pastry shells and serve immediatly. Enjoy!

Mix 200g soft cheese with 2 finely chopped garlic cloves and a handfull of raisins. Cook 2 chicken breast brown at both sides. Place each chicken breast on a piece of aluminium foil. Spread the soft cheese mixture over both chicken breasts and cover with slices bacon. Wrap the aluminium foil over it like a bag. Place the packages in to a preheated oven at 200c for about 25 to 30 minutes. Serve with a salad and potatoes. Enjoy!

Defrost a pack curly cabbage and 5 sheets of puff pastry. Chop 200g mature cheese in little dices. Crush 150g cashewnuts andd add it to the cheese. Put in another bowl 125ml cream, a teaspoon thyme, a tablespoon mustard and a pinch of salt. Stir well. Also add gradually 3 eggs to the cream while stirring. Dress a pie form with the puff pastry sheets. Mix the curly cabbage with the cheese and cashew nut mixture and the cream egg mixture. Transfer this to the pie form. Place the pie form in a preheated oven at 200c for about 45 minutes. Let it cool down for 5 minutes before eating! Enjoy!

Make a marinade with 2 tablespoons fish sauce, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1/2 tablespoon lemon grass powder, 1 tablespoon sambal and 2 finely chopped garlic cloves. Marinate 3 diced chicken breasts in it for at least 4 hours but prefarbably a night in the fridge. Cook in hot oil 1 chopped onion with 1/2 chopped chilli pepper and 1/2 tablespoon lemon grass powder. When the onion is soft add the marinated chicken breast and cook it brown. Add 125ml chicken stock, boil, stir well, lower the heat, cover the lid and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Get the lid of the pan for the last 2 minutes to thicken the sauce. Enjoy!
