Starting November 1, 2007 we have the good fortune to have an Americorp worker for 1 year. This worker will do follow-up with families after they leave & assist with resources such as: going back to school, help with ongoing court hearings regarding assaults and providing information & referrals to other community agencies that may be helpful. The worker did not have a car but a valid driver's license. She will be using the donated car this year to meet with ex-residents & to train a group of community volunteers to carry on the work after she leaves.
