Chef Cantu: The Geeky Chef 2007-07-25 23:25:00 I was watching Iron Chef America today, the secret ingredient was beets. Morimoto was challenged by a Chef named, Homaro Cantu. For those of you who have not watched Iron Chef America on the food channel, It is a show where two chefs battle it out for a spot in the three Iron Chefs. Every show, there is a new ingredient that the chefs must include in every dish. There are six dishes in total. The time limit is 60 minutes to cook, prepare and finish every dish. Both chefs have a team of other chefs to help them out.I have never seen Cantu before, but he is quite an odd looking fellow. Wearing a bright green shirt under his dark brown apron, an LED scrolling gadget saying his slogan, and a headset to talk to his team. This man used the oddest techniques ever! Beet puree was stuffed in balloons, that were frozen in liquid nitrogen to make a hard frozen shell. The insides were not frozen, the dessert looked mighty tasty, but also mighty odd. WarCraft 3 2007-07-24 17:53:00 This is Blizzard's other RTS. StarCraft and WarCraft are the same thing, just set in different times and places. Both games consist of the same thing, gathering minerals, building units, attacking and killing others. WarCraft 3 has revamped 3D graphics that are pleasing to the eye, even containing a zoom feature. WarCraft 3 offers a single-player campaign and multiplayer. WarCraft 3 (A.K.A War3, or W3) can handle more players online then most RTS games and has many custom maps. These maps are made by the public, and loaded into the game. There are four races to choose from, Human, Undead, Night elf and of course Orc. Each race offers different types of gameplay, different looks and different sounds.I suggest picking up a copy if you are looking for a very expandable RTS game. If you haven't heard of War3 but heard of World of Warcraft and are thinking they are made by different companies, they aren't. World of Warcraft has all the same races and characters and more. That foamy, good smelling black thing on the end of your headset. Yeah, that's a windscreen. On stage mics, professional mics they have layers of windscreens and even a metal screen/case. A windscreen makes the quality of your mic recording better by taking out wind, breathing and movement. Without a windscreen, a windy day can make you lose all your audio due to a loud, annoying wind noise.Today, I found my old broken Xbox 360 headset. The windscreen, sitting there. Going to waste... Noob to Pro - 1 2007-07-26 18:02:00 I recently installed Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 onto my computer. As soon as I opened it I knew it was going to give me headaches. The " Connect to Camera or Scanner" button was the first thing I read. "Connect to camera or scanner?" I thought, I don't even know which cord attaches my camera to the computer.. I don't even know how to scan something!! I was already in over my head and I hadn't even opened a new file...Reading down below the "Connect to Camera or Scanner" button was two other buttons labeled "Common Issues" and "Tutorial". I knew right away these two buttons would become my best friends.I managed to figure out how to blur the background of a photo pretty quickly, but the thrill of that only lasted about 15 minutes... Then, with the help of my lovely "Tutorial" button, I figured out how to change the colours of things! I took one of my black and white photographs and added some red and blue here and there.I'm still playing around and learning all about this Photosh
