Colored lights on tree/house or white? White on the tree and colored every where else.4. Do you hang mistletoe? Nah, I gave up kissing a few years ago.5. When do you put your decorations up? I Think It's A Google Thing 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Ipanema says it is very frustrating, I say it just plain pisses me off. It has been many months since my switch to Beta. I know that many of you swear by it, but my experience has not been all that great. Yes, the template difference is wonderful. You can add links at the speed of lightening ,and move your sidebar around with no problems whatsoever. My problem comes with posting and comments. From the beginning commenting on a BETA blog if you were still on a regular blogger blog was a nightmare. Eventually it got a little better. Now, it seems they have reverted back again and it is worse. Today, some can't comment on my blog, and my google ID isn't recognized at their site, meaning that once again I am having problems leaving them a comment. Now, I can't even get into email. Again, it is Google
's "gmail"..Google use to be my favorite of almost everything. Certainly, I thought it was the best search engine there was. Are they getting to big? Getting their hands in to much? Are they Read more:Thing
Sibling Jealousy.... 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Boy this one takes the cake. This afternoon ( I guess yesterday now) Dave picked up grand daughter from school. I stayed at son's house with DIL and baby. Tanner is now at 6lbs 9ounces. He is coming right along. When Dave returned with grand daughter, I was holding Tanner and rocking him. That was all ok. The problem came, when I was going to change his diaper. Grand daughter comes into the bedroom where I am at and sits on the bed. When Tanner is all clean and once again ready to take a nap, I decide he needs to have his toes eaten. It has been long enough and you cannot be a child in this family and not have Grandma eat your toes. I love them!I said to grand daughter "I'm going to eat Tanner's toes now"..OMG, she starts crying! "Please grandma don't eat his toes." This was not coming from any concern that I might actually, "EAT" his toes...It was a jealous reaction that said..."I am only allowed to eat HER toes." So, Tanner did not yet get this family initiation done. I will wait Read more:Sibling

I Shall Not Waste my Days In Trying To Prolong Them....(Ian Fleming) 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Hello and welcome to my Firday story project. Today is the day, that myself and others, will post a story. The neat thing about it, is that all stories must end with the chosen Quote, which is the title of my story. At the end of my story will be links to all the other great folks who have given us their time and talent to post a story. Please take the time to visit them and read their stories. My story is fiction, I think…HA!!.....I SHALL NOT WASTE MY DAYS IN TRYING TO PROLONG THEMNot Long ago, on an evening similar to this evening, I could hear the roar of what had to my friend, riding into town on his hog.A little background on my friend. His name is Spooner Jenkins, and he comes from Belvidere, Nebraska. Oh, Spooner use to be a big important man in Belvidere. He was the mayor of that fine town. He lived there for many years. He and Agnes (his wife) were quite the couple. Something happened though, and Agnes just up and left one day. Just like that. No warning, no goodbyes, not
Christmas and Alzheimer's 1970-01-01 00:59:59 My blog friend, Mary Emma, from over at Alzheimer
's Notes, has written and posted a beautiful story. It is about a mother, child and grandchild. The mother has Alz. and her child is struggling. I remember these days well, during the last few years of my mom's life. How I missed the Christmas
of past years. Shopping and wrapping gifts with my mom. Stopping to have lunch together and laughing our fool heads off at some silly gift we had bought for Dad. How she would spend days before the holidays, humming in the kitchen while cooking and baking. Then without warning, Alzheimer's happened and stole her away.I was devastated, to see total blankness, in her beautiful eyes, the last few years that she lived. I was so worried that ALz. would replace all the good memories. But, Alzheimer's didn't win in the end. The memories of all those great years, were much stronger than any thing Alz could have done.Is it foolish to be a grown 54 year old woman, and miss your mom so much? This time of

Today Would Have Been The Day 1970-01-01 00:59:59 It is Dec. 17th and this would have been Tanner's day of arrival, if nature hadn't predicted otherwise. Even being born today would have been a little early, as his regular due date was Dec. 31st. The doctor was going to take him today though. He will be 6 weeks old on this coming Wednesday. He was at 6lb 9ounces last week so he is gaining good. I wonder what he would have weighed today had he waited. I think he would have been bigger than what he is right now. My DIL has big babies, one was 9lbs5ozs and the other was 8lbs15ozs. He is such a good baby! He has recently had some spells of apnea that has everyone going nuts when that alarm goes off. usually he pulls himself right out of it and sometimes they have to massage him a little and he will start breathing but he had a bad spell the other day where they almost called 911. They almost couldn't get him to breathe. I (and everyone else) will be so glad when we are past this danger. I have to admit that I am scared to be alone wit Read more:Today

The Night Before Christmas (Lawyer Style) 1970-01-01 00:59:59 You ever wonder how a Lawyer

story on Christmas Eve?My blog friend Will posted the Lawyer version. I thought it was funny. I couldn't find a link to the story so I am just going to post it here..After you read it, he has another one for ya posted, "Here . THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMASLAWYER STYLE Whereas, on or about the night prior to Christmas, there did occur at a certain improved piece of real property (hereinafter "the House") a general lack of stirring by all creatures therein, including, but not limited to a mouse. Dona Nobis Pacem 1970-01-01 00:59:59 How I wish, for even one day during this holiday season, that there would be peace throughout the world. My thoughts are with all the servicemen, in all parts of the world, doing what they have been sent to do. For them, and their families who are without them, I hope this season passes quickly. I also hope for peace for all those who are ill or hospitalized, especially the little children. Please keep them in your thoughts and send a Prayer their way. I hope that every homeless person in the world can find peace and kindness during this time. Today, I join many others in the blogosphere wishing world peace for all. Thank you Mimi! The Thankless Job Of Housekeeping 1970-01-01 00:59:59 When I was first married back in 1972 things were pretty rough for us. My husband, being 8 years older than I had already been married, had two children and divorced. This was a fact that initially didn't settle well, at all, with my parents. I was only 20 and had not had any experience to know how to be a step-mom. I'm happy to say that our families blended well and there was not ever any of those big family fights as what goes on many times with blended families. Over time his ex-wife and I became friendly with each other. We have never been best of friends but we have a mutual respect that has benefited everyone involved, especially the children. But, it was a fact that money was tight and scarce. He had responsibilities and obligations that would have to be met. I was in college, Dave was still a uniform cop and making next to nothing. He was also working various part time security jobs. I had always worked part time since I was 16 years old as a waitress at a Howard Johnsons r
Remembering a Lost Cousin 1970-01-01 00:59:59 On Christmas day, I was lucky enough to spend a couple of hours, with a cousin I hadn't seen for years. Judy was a twin. Her brother died many years ago. We spent a lot of time talking about him. I remember when Larry had been killed. It was a horrible death and so unfair. It was in the early 70s and he had only been home from Vietnam for just a month or two. Fight a war for 13 months, come home and be killed within a few months. How could it ever be more unfair?IT seemed he always had bad luck. Of all the men and boys in our family who had served in Vietnam, Larry was the only one to be injured while there. I don't remember the details of his injuries but he walked with a bad limp and had to use a cane after coming home.. My brother, brother-in-law and maybe 7 or 8 cousins were all over there at the same time. They had all been drafted or were part of the military's "Bait N Switch"... It was 1969 when most of them had went over. Larry had worked at a manufacturing company prior to Read more:Remembering
Wolfden Bar and Grill soap Part 2 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Welcome to the second part of Wolfden Bar and Grill
Soap. For those who don't know, this is a soap opera started by bloggers (wolfbaby) and played by bloggers. You can read part one here. As you can see, I am in a predicament at the end of that one. This part of Wolfden is being brought to you by Neutrogena Body Oil. Want that baby soft feeling all over? Head out to your local Walmart for Neutrogena. If ya want, tell them Cathy sent ya. Go ahead, I dare ya. Part two:PK came through the door in grand fashion. She was all in a tizzy over something and would stop to talk to no one as she made her way to the microphone. PK: Dr. A. where are you? Has anyone seen Dr. A.? I need him right now.Dr. Rob: I'm not sure where he went but is it something I can do? PK: Oh Dr. Rob, I didn't know you were here. Come quick, it's Cathy. She is sick and passed out in the parking lot. Well this announcement got Dr. Rob's attention. It appeared to everyone that he was overreacting. When
New Beginnings and a Goodbye to 2006 and Then Another Goodbye 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Looking back on this past year has been humbling for me. So many wonderful things have happened. In my personal life, it couldn't have been better. My husband and I were remarried. Our family is complete again. Since we can't figure out which anniversary to celebrate we have decided we will celebrate both of them.We also saw the birth of our grandson. He is the most precious wonderful gift that we could have ever hoped for. We are blessed! There is the fact that my family has saw no deaths in this past year. When it happens there will be an avalanche I'm afraid. 7 of my Dad's 9 brothers and sisters are still alive, as are many of their spouses. The youngest is 82 and the oldest is 98. The fact they will all be celebrating a new year is pretty amazing. I first started this blog over 10 months ago. I had been lurking around for months, trying to decide if this was something I wanted to venture into. One day I just threw a post out there and ...nothing! It just laid there for a few Read more:Goodbye
Hello To My Mom's Blog 1970-01-01 00:59:59 My name is Greg. Mom has invited me to post on her blog while she will be away. I have to admit I never knew what a blog was until she educated me about hers. When she first started hers, I thought she had lost her mind. But she likes it and I can already see that she has alot of good friends on here. I hope I don't screw it up for her. I don't like to type so I won't be on here very often.

Definition of Life 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Thanks for all the feedback to my previous post. The "leave it alones" have it. I guess I better just leave her music here for awhile. You guys have my mom figured out pretty well. Yes, I would have to pack up and hit the road if I were to delete her blog. It took me 15 minutes to sign in so I could post something today.
Thanks for asking about Tanner. He is mine though and not my brother's. Read more:Definition
Sick 1970-01-01 00:59:59 In the light of day, I decided I had to take down the post from yesterday. If there is a word worse than they "sucked" that's what it is. I'm sick!
About Mom 1970-01-01 00:59:59 We talked to Mom and Dad on the phone last night and mom is sick. She has the flu and running a fever. She is not having her surgery. Indefinitely cancelled. Yes, she did have her flu shot. Dad started driving to Texas last Tuesday. He drove straight through from Ohio. Mom flew there on Thursday. She had to see her surgeon, one more time, prior to her surgery and that was this past Friday
Home 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Yes, we got home about 2:30 this morning.(Friday)... It was a little slick driving home from the airport but not to bad. Certainly not as bad of weather as we seen in Texas. I thought the weather in Texas was supposed to be mild? Turns out Ohio has not had any of that recent bad weather.
There will be no surgery for right now. I am starting to feel a little better and I'm not sure if I had the
Tell Me About Your Ghosts! 1970-01-01 00:59:59 And premonitions. Do you believe in them? I do. Well I kind of believe in them. Ya'll will probably decide I'm crazy now and never read me again.
Blame it on the feelings and mood I have had recently. A feeling of doom that I really can't explain that has been bothering me. It has made me think about things I don't normally think of. Maybe it is the fact I haven't felt well, that is making me

Never Forget Again 1970-01-01 00:59:59 I use to occasionally forget whether or not I had taken my medications. It wasn't done intentionally. It would maybe be 10 or 11 AM and I would think ...."Did I take my medicine this morning?" If I couldn't remember if I had taken them or not, I would chose to not take them for fear of overdosing myself. Only at the end of the month, when I should have been out, and still had medication left, Read more:Again

I Could Not Believe My Eyes 1970-01-01 00:59:59 This is Manuel Uribe. He lives in Mexico and weighed in at 1235 pounds. He is trying to lose 1,000 pounds on a low carb diet. I hope he succeeds. There are a couple of interesting things about him I wanted to point out. Things I don't understand.
First, he claims to have no health problems other than his obesity. He has no diabetes, high cholesterol, high triglycerides or high blood pressure.
