The Golden Gun
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:An extremely cool item for all of us Bond fans. A licensed replica of the golden gun used by assassin Scaramanga (Christopher Lee) in "The Man with the Golden Gun"(1974). Like in the movie, the gun breaks down into several gold plated components for easy smuggling; a cigarette case, a lighter, a fountain pen, a cuff link and, of course, a bullet. Auction ends:Nov-22-06 06:52:38 PST Auction link:Golden Gun

McFly's Hoverboard
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:The hoverboard used by Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) in "Back to the Future II"(1989). This is a pretty cool item if you're a huge fan of the series. Auction ends:Nov-15-06 12:53:36 PST Auction link:Hoverboard

Bill "The Butcher" Cutter's Tophat
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:The tophat worn by Bill "The Butcher " Cutter (Daniel Day-Lewis) in "Gangs of New York"(2002). This tophat is one of many cool items in a live auction by Premiere Props taking place on November 18th. I'll include a link to the catalog.Live auction begins:Nov-18-06 10:00:00 PST Auction link:Bill's TophatCatalog:World's Largest Prop and Pinball Auction

Headless Horseman Axe
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:An axe wielded by the headless horseman in "Sleepy Hollow"(1999). This is a lot in the big live auction I mentioned yesterday. I really liked this movie, probably because I really liked the story as a kid. The combination of Johnny Depp's hilarious portrayal of Ichabod Crane, the gloomy background, and the overall coolness factor of the headless horseman himself makes this a very enjoyable movie. Live auction begins:Nov-18-06 10:00:00 PST Auction link:Headless Horseman AxeCatalog:The World's Largest Prop & Pinball Auction

Sandworm Tooth
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:A replica cast from the original of a krys knife used in "Dune"(1984). These were knives used by the Fremen and by Paul Atreides, in particular. Why the Sandworm Tooth title? Fans who have read the book would know that krys knives are made from the teeth of the giant sandworms that live on Dune. Auction ends:Nov-26-06 15:37:10 PSTAuction link:Krys Knife

Miniature TAC Fighters
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:A set of 3 miniature TAC fighters used in making the movie, "Starship Troopers"(1997). While watching this movie, I enjoyed it once I accepted that 3 things. 1 - The movie is nothing like the book. 2 - It had pretty good special effects and I'm kind of a special effects junkie. 3 - The movie NOTHING like the book. I'm pretty sure director Paul Verhoeven never read the book. A friend told him the basic idea about humans in the future battling giant bugs and he filled in the details himself. So what we have is that the tons of action and minimal philosophy on the screen is a perfect reversal of what we find in Heinlen's novel. Still, if you're into sci fi action (nothing wrong with that), it's a good rental.Auction ends:Nov-19-06 18:58:04 PST Auction link:Starship Troopers

Straight from Gringott's
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:One Galleon prop coin used in Gringott's scene in "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone"(2001). It says Unum Galleon on it and appears to have a picture of a winged dragon stamped into it. I wonder what the exchange rate on one of these would be.Auction ends:Nov-11-06 07:58:31 PSTAuction link:Harry Potter Coin

It's Pat (Run!)
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:I had to post about this not because it's an actual movie prop, or even a good replica, but because it's representative of the absolute worst movie I personally have sat all the way through. This is a creepy looking ventriloquist type doll of the Pat Riley character (played by Julia Sweeney on SNL and the movie) from "It's Pat"(1994). I'm not exaggerating by saying this movie is horrible, it's currently #32 on the IMDB's Bottom 100. My high school friends and I were on vacation, it came on Showtime, so we sat through it somehow naively thinking it would get better. Thankfully, I can say we didn't actually spend money to go see it.Auction ends:Nov-11-06 20:00:00 PST Auction link:Pat Doll

Vote Bulworth
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:This seems appropriate after having gone through another election day. This is a political campaign button for Jay Bulworth, Warren Beatty's character in the movie, "Bulworth"(1998). Auction ends:Nov-12-06 18:53:50 PST Auction link:Bulworth Button

Hellraiser Puzzle Box
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:A puzzle box used in "Hellraiser:Hellseeker"(2002). This would be a nice addition to anyone's coffee table or knick-knack cabinet. I wouldn't recommend trying too terribly hard to solve the puzzle. Heh, kidding...Live auction begins:Nov-18-06 10:00:00 PST Auction link:Lament Configuration

Great Snow Camouflage
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:A soldier outfit from "Ultraviolet"(2006). It really looks like a cheap imitation of the snowtroopers from "The Empire Strikes Back" to me. Auction ends:Nov-19-06 04:53:15 PSTAuction link:Ultraviolet Soldier

Indian Rattle
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:An indian rattle used in the Kevin Costner movie, "Dances with Wolves"(1990). I've never been a big Costner fan, but I will admit that I really did like this movie. It's been a while since I've seen it, but one of the scenes that really sticks with me is when Dunbar shares coffee with the Indians. Auction ends:Nov-27-06 15:26:41 PST Auction link:Rattle Prop

Christmas Town House
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:A Christmas Town house used in the hit movie, "The Nightmare Before Christmas"(1993). I enjoyed this movie, but have never figured out how it became such a cult hit. I'd like to see the 3D version, but the theaters showing it are a little out of the way for my taste. Auction ends:Nov-26-06 22:20:45 PST Auction link:Christmas House

Ray Charles Poster
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:A prop Ray Charles promotion poster used in "Ray"(2004) starring Jamie Foxx. I'll admit that when I heard Foxx was going to play Ray, I had serious doubts. However, I think he nailed it. Jamie obviously did his homework going into this movie. Auction ends:Dec-07-06 12:16:47 PST Auction link Ray Charles Poster

Willy Wonka Approved
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item: Replica goggles like the ones used in the TV room on "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"(2005). They even have UV400 protection! Who wouldn't love driving down the road with a pair of these on?Auction ends:Dec-06-06 18:32:18 PST Auction link:Willy Wonka Goggles

Necromonger Wear
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:Necromonger armor and axe used in "The Chronicles of Riddick"(2004). It's a pretty cool looking set.Auction ends:Dec-08-06 12:19:41 PSTAuction link:Necromonger Armor

The Golden Calf
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:This is a really nice piece of movie history. One of the golden calf idols used in Cecil B. DeMille's masterpiece, "The Ten Commandments"(1956). I believe this is one of the smaller idols and not the big one that was built later in the film. Live auction begins:Dec-14-06 12:00:00 PST Auction link:Golden CalfCatalog:Profiles in History - Hollywood Memorabilia

R2-D2's Dome
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:One of R2-D2's dome heads used in both "Star Wars:Episode VI - Return of the Jedi"(1983) and "Star Wars:Episode I - The Phantom Menace"(1999). The auction catalog that has this also has C3PO's head as well as a ton of other cool stuff. League of Their Own Autographed Baseball
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:A baseball signed by four of the stars of the baseball movie, "A League of Their Own"(1992). The four stars are Tom Hanks, Madonna(pictured), Geena Davis, and Penny Marshall (who directed). This is part of a December live auction featuring Dick Clark's collection of memorabilia, so check out some of the other cool stuff in the catalog, too.Live auction begins:Dec-06-06 09:30:00 PST Auction link:Autographed BaseballCatalog:The Dick Clark Auction

Dragon Egg
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:A dragon egg used in "Reign of Fire"(2002). It looks like the egg may be somewhat transluscent so that you can make out a baby dragon inside. At any rate, this would be a cool thing to have sitting around the house.Auction ends:Dec-02-06 21:08:39 PST Auction link:Dragon Egg

Christmas Moose Mug
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:This is a moose mug replica as seen on "Christmas Vacation"(1989). It's not a screen used prop but is made by A&R Collectibles. My in-laws have a tradition of watching this movie every year at Christmas. Other people watch, "It's a Wonderful Life" or "Christmas Story". We watch "Christmas Vacation". I don't mind, though, because I still laugh at it every year.Auction ends:Nov-29-06 14:26:18 PST See auction Christmas Moose Mugs

Tom Riddle's Diary
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:Tom Riddle 's diary as seen in "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets"(2002). This is a special effects version that has tubes running through it for the purpose of carrying fake "book blood". So it was used in the scene where Harry stabs the diary with a basilisk tooth.Auction ends:Nov-29-06 20:30:33 PST Auction link:Tom Riddle's Diary

The Shawshank Uniform
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:The prison shirt worn by Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins) in "The Shawshank Redemption"(1994) which is currently #2 highest rated movie on the IMDB. The shirt even comes with it's own display frame. Great item from a great movie. Auction ends:Dec-03-06 17:59:16 PST Auction link:Shawshank Redemption Uniform

Christmas Story Lamp
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:Now that the Christmas season is in full swing, let's include an item from my favorite Christmas movie. Here we have a replica of Mr Parker's lady leg lamp from "Christmas Story "(1984). If you haven't seen this movie and you're wasting your time on "It's a Wonderful Life", "A Charlie Brown Christmas", or "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer", you've got to rent this movie this year and give it a try. Absolutely hilarious.Auction ends:Dec-01-06 20:02:16 PST Auction link:Christmas Story Lamp

The Batboat
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:A miniature prop of the Batman's boat used in "Batman Returns"(1992). This was the second of the two darker Batman movies that Tim Burton directed. After that, the movies seemed to go downhill for a while, until the recent "Batman Begins", in my opinion.Live auction begins:Dec-16-06 07:00:00 PSTAuction link:Batman BoatCatalog:Julien's Winter Entertainment Sale

Pumpkinhead
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:A squib laden Pumpkinhead dummy used during the climax of "Pumpkhinhead II:Blood Wings"(1994). He looks a little shot up, but still pretty impressive looking. By the way, Pumpkinhead II is notable for casting Bill Clinton's brother, Roger, as Mayor Bubba.Auction ends:Dec-12-06 20:00:00 PSTAuction link:Pumpkinhead Dummy

Evil Superman Suit
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:The costume worn by the evil Superman in "Superman III"(1983), also known as the most bizarre of the original Christopher Reeves Superman movies. There are a bunch of huge pictures of the outfit on the auction site, so it may take a while to get the whole thing loaded. Something else to note is that bidding is already over $30,000 and the reserve hasn't been met, yet. Wow!Auction ends:Dec-14-06 22:58:22 PSTAuction link:Superman Costume

The Cowardly Lion
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:Wow!! This is a unique find. This is the actual lion costume (made from real lion pelts) worn by Bert Lahr as the cowardly lion in "The Wizard of Oz"(1939). It's being put up for auction as part of the Profiles in History auction this week. Bidding starts at a whopping $400,000.00. For those dark and stormy nights
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:A replica of those cool looking lighted umbrellas seen on the city streets in "Blade Runner"(1982). It runs on 3 AAA batteries and I've seen a red one on Ebay as well. I love posting these items and can rarely afford any of them, but I might actually have to get one of these. Auction ends:Dec-16-06 03:16:44 PST Auction link:Blade Runner Umbrella

Ultimate Lawn Decoration
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Item:A life size, that's right, life size 1:1 scale model of Jabba the Hutt from "Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi"(1983). It's about 12 feet long and 5 feet tall. If you've got the money (and the sense of humor), I say buy it, stick it on your front lawn, and put a big Santa hat on it. Now you have a great Star Wars themed Christmas decoration that's much better than those stupid inflatable things everyone has now. You might want to check with your Homeowners Association first, heh.Auction ends:Dec-21-06 13:23:48 PST Auction link:Jabba the Hutt
