It’s finally here! The very first episode of Daemon ’s TV Podcast . Since we had just gotten back from Comic Con 2007, my friend Eric and I decided to talk about our experience there. Episode #1: Comic Con 2007: Includes an overview of each panel attended at Comic Con 2007, including Lost, Bionic Woman, Heroes, Battlestar Galactica, The 4400, and Jericho. We also give some tips for people who plan to attend next year based on our experience. You can listen to the podcast here: Daemon’s TV #1: Comic Con 2007 Or subscribe to one of these services: (should work in the next few hours, it was just added to iTunes) We hope you enjoy it and feel free to e-mail us with any comments or suggestions at info@daemonstv.com.

On Tonight, Wednesday 7/8: SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, and more…
2007-08-08 13:01:32
SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE - 8pm FOX The top six is performing tonight. Each couple will dance two routines again and each contestant will have a solo (for spoilers head over to Tapeworthy). I do have a bad news though, we will not have a result show tomorrow night due to the fact that FOX will be showing sports. This means that the result show will air on Monday August 13th, even though it will be recorded on Thursday as usual. LAST COMIC STANDING - 9pm NBC Two people will be eliminated tonight again after a head to head. Last week was finally a fun episode. Things are moving along and I like it. I can’t wait to see more stand-up.

On Tonight, Tuesday 8/7: LA INK, EUREKA, and more…
2007-08-07 12:40:20
ON THE LOT - 8pm FOX One director eliminated tonight, four left who will screen their new films. I like the show, but it’s just dragging along. I’ll watch it until the end because I want to see who wins but I’m not sure I would watch another season (although I very much doubt there will be another season). EUREKA “Duck, Duck Goose” - 9pm Sci-Fi My feel-good show. I can watch this show right away because it’s just so nice to watch it and it relaxes me. Plus did I mention how much I like supernatural shows? I just wish Carter and Allison would get together already. DAMAGES “And My Paralyzing Fear Of Death” - 10pm FX I haven’t had a chance to watch Damages yet, and I think part of the reason is because I know it’s pretty heavy material so I need to get myself in the right mood for it. I’m sure it’s a really good show though and the preview looks awesome. I will let you know as soon as I’ve seen the first epi

BIONIC WOMAN - Comic Con 2007 Panel Report
2007-08-07 02:20:28
Click on the image for a bigger version. The BIONIC WOMAN Panel at Comic Con, was the first one on Saturday morning. The actual panel started at 10am. We go in line at 7am and there was already about 400 people before us. Most people at this point came early in order to get good seats for the Heroes panel which took place in the same room a few hours later at 12:45pm (we actually talk about this in the first episode of our podcast, yes we’ve finally done one which I will be posting at the latest tomorrow). I will also be posting an audio of the panel, sorry no video for this one. Before the panel started, we got to watch the pilot of Bionic Woman. Although this was not the final version of the pilot (they changed the actress who played the sister originally, but I guess they hadn’t shot the new scenes yet), I thought it was a really cool pilot. It definitely makes me want to tune in. One of the few new shows I am actually excited about (the other ones include Pushing Dai

Watch CALIFORNICATION and WEEDS
2007-08-07 00:18:20
Showtime has the first episode of CALIFORNICATION and WEEDS available before their first air date on August 13th. So if you are a big fan of Weeds and can’t wait to see the pilot for Californication, head over to Showtime VIP Insider (Password is “mondays”). I don’t watch Weeds anymore. After the first season, I just wasn’t excited enough about the show to tune in for another season. I did really like the first season though, but I don’t know what happened, I just stopped watching season two. Maybe I’ll rent it someday and beat myself up for not watching it when it was on…

THE DRESDEN FILES is out
2007-08-06 23:44:47
Not that I had any hopes left for a Second Season of THE DRESDEN FILES, but it’s still sad to finally hear the official announcement that such a great show has been cancelled. When The Dresden Files first aired I wasn’t sure I would like it, but after the first episode I was hooked. I am a fan of anything that has to do with magic and supernatural (isn’t it funny that I don’t actually watch Supernatural?!). Paul Blackthorne as Harry Dresden was wonderful and if I ever needed a wizard, I would definitely put my faith in Harry Dresden. At least we can take comfort in the fact that we can watch season one all over again on And if that’s not enough to satisfy you, you can buy the DVD of the first season coming out on August 7th. You can click on the link below to purchase Season One of The Dresden Files on Amazon. The Dresden Files - The Complete First Season In other news, Paul Blackthorne has already found another job in ABC’s new show Big Shots

David Anders is now a regular HEROES
2007-08-06 21:41:51
Remember how excited I was about David Anders joining HEROES? Well, the new season hasn’t even aired yet and David Anders has been promoted to series regular . Initially he was only supposed to be recurring, which is better than nothing, but now, get ready to see some more of his angelic face. David Anders plays the part of the 1,000-year-old Kensei. I am even more excited because during Comic Con, they did show a preview of Season 2 of Heroes and you could see one scene with David Anders as he took off a mask (if I remember correctly, it was pretty quick). Needless to say it looked awesome. (Source TV Guide)

On Tonight, Monday 8/6: KYLE XY, GREEK, and more…
2007-08-06 13:29:45
KYLE XY “Ghost In The Machine” - 8pm ABC Family Kyle is back tonight and goes on a camping trip. Don’t you just love those road trip episodes? I just enjoy watching Kyle XY no matter what the episode. Also make sure to check out our Kyle XY Contest, which ends at the end of the week. HEARTLAND “As We Are So Wonderfully Done With Each Other” - 8pm TNT Last week’s episode was interesting enough for me to tune in again tonight. But I have to admit, lately I have been giving up some shows that don’t excite me as much. Maybe I’m just getting tired of medical dramas… GREEK “Liquid Courage” - 9pm ABC Family Now here is a show that always puts a smile on my face. Seriously, Greek is one of the shows I really look forward to and that I watch pretty much right away once it’s on my DVR. So excited there’s a new episode tonight… HELL’S KITCHEN - 9pm FOX Hell’s Kitchen is coming to an end tonight as t

On Tonight, Sunday 8/5: THE 4400, THE COMPANY, and more…
2007-08-05 17:50:56
SIDE ORDER OF LIFE “What Price Truth?” - 8pm Lifetime I enjoy Side Order of Life more than State of Mind to be honest. It’s just such a sweet show and I really wonder where everybody will end up at the end of the season. Also what I find compelling is the side stories that Jenny is sent on every episode. THE COMPANY “Night 1″ - 8pm TNT New original show from TNT starring Chris O’Donnell (need I say more?). The Company is about Cold War CIA agents fighting a Soviet enemy. So many new shows have come out recently, it’s hard to follow all of them, but I try, I try. Check out the trailer THE 4400 “No Exit” - 9pm USA The 4400 is getting better and better this season and especially after getting some tease at Comic Con (check out my report of The 4400 Panel), I cannot wait to see each week’s episode. STATE OF MIND “Passion Fishing” - 9pm Lifetime The last few weeks, I haven’t really liked State of Mind that mu

Interview: SARA VONGILLERN from “So You Think You Can Dance” Top 8
2007-08-05 17:03:50
I spoke with Sara VonGillern who was eliminated Thursday night on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. Sara VonGillern’s training include the Red Bull Beat Rider 2006, Colorado State University Dance Program, Broadway Dance Center Intern, Motion Underground, The Gruv Factory, and Academy for the Performing Arts. She categorizes her style of dancing as Hip Hop elements (Breaking, House, Locking, Popping ). Sara has been one of my favorites from the very beginning, so it was nice to be able to talk to her. I think that she had different insights into the competition and what she wanted to achieve because of her dance style. She was the only b-girl of the competition and I feel she really proved herself. When I talked to her, it felt like she was ready to move on to the next step and was looking forward to see what opportunities might come out of all this. Moving on to the interview: Daemon’s TV: Hi Sara, how are you? Sara Von Gillern: I’m doing well, how about yourself? D: I

Evangeline Lilly should have been nominated for an Emmy
2007-08-10 14:59:11
I know the Emmy Nominations have been announced for a while, but this has been bugging me ever since, so I decided to write a post about it. People have let out their disappointment that Connie Britton and Kyle Chandler weren’t nominated as well as Friday Night Lights, and although I think they really deserved a nomination too, I personally was even more surprised that Evangeline Lilly wasn’t nominated. As I was watching Lost this season, I couldn’t help but think this was Evangeline Lilly ’s year. Throughout the seasons, Evangeline Lilly has grown in the part of Kate and I always thought she was a really good actress, but I have to say this season she was absolutely phenomenal. She took her acting to a whole new level and I could not take my eyes off her. One of the first scene that started her growth as an actress is a scene in Episode 4 of Season 3 entitled “Every Man For Himself.” This is when Kat screams out that she loves Sawyer in order to sa

On Tonight, Friday 8/10: FLASH GORDON, MEERKAT MANOR, and more…
2007-08-10 13:13:48
MEERKAT MANOR “On Dangerous Ground” - 8:30PM Animal Planet How cute are meerkats? I admit that I only watched one episode of Meerkat Manor, mostly because I just forgot to record the rest, but I just think they are adorable. If you too like Meerkats, you should definitely tune in. MONK “Mr. Monk And The Birds And The Bees” - 9PM USA Mr. Monk is back for another crazy adventure. I am always impressed at how good Tony Shalhoub is, he just has that character down. I just couldn’t imagine anybody else playing that part. FLASH GORDON “Pilot” - 9PM Sci-Fi Flash Gordon starts tonight. I haven’t seen much about it and never watched the old version, but I’m willing to give it a shot. I’ll watch the pilot and see how I feel about it. Check out a clip from Flash Gordon below. PSYCH “And Down The Stretch Comes Murder” - 10PM USA My favorite team is back on TV tonight. Shawn and Gus are on a new case, and it’s

THE BOONDOCKS are back!
2007-08-09 15:29:39
Who doesn’t love Huey and Riley? Get yourself ready because THE BOONDOCKS are back! To be honest I thought the show had been cancelled because I wasn’t hearing anything about it, but I am so glad it’s back. The Boondocks is based on Aaron Gruder’s Comic Strip of the same name, and although I really like the show, it’s nothing compared to the Comic Strip. If you haven’t read it yet, you are missing out on one of the best comic strip out there. Check out the preview for the Second Season of The Boondocks which is set to start on October 8th on Adult Swim. (Warning: There is some explicit language.) The Boondocks Official Website

On Tonight, Thursday 8/9: BURN NOTICE, MAD MEN, and more…
2007-08-09 14:18:34
RAMSAY’S KITCHEN NIGHTMARES REVISITED “La Riveria” - 8pm BBC America Ramsay goes back to La Riveria to see if the business has turned around. I love those episodes where you go back and see that difference in the restaurant. BURN NOTICE “Broken Rules” - 10pm USA After the announcement of a second season for Burn Notice, it’s even more exciting to tune in to watch it now, because we know there is more to come. MAD MEN “New Amsterdam” - 10pm AMC Still haven’t watched the first episode. Bad me… It’s on my DVR though. I have been hearing good things about it.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE - Top 6 Review
2007-08-09 00:56:55
Kelsey McNeal/FOX ©2007 Fox Broadcasting Co. What a night! I feel the dancers are stepping up every week. All of them are starting to grow on me. It’s getting harder and harder to see them go. My favorite couple of the night was: SABRA & NEIL My two favorites are still: SABRA & PASHA Moving on to my review of the night: LACEY SCHWIMMER & PASHA PKOVALEV - Hip Hop Choreography: Dave Scott Music: “In The Morning” by Junior Boys get it on Thoughts: That was so cool!!!! I absolutely loved both of them. They both had so much personality, especially Pasha. I always thought Pasha brought so much personality to his performances and tonight it just shows how much it helps. They are not the best hip hop dancers, but they just worked it out. Rating: 4/5 Video: Lacey and Pasha Week 8 SABRA JOHNSON - Sabra is my girl! I absolutely love her. She is so beautiful and her solo was beautiful. Music: “Rock Your Soul” by Elise get it on Video: S

BURN NOTICE gets a second season
2007-08-08 19:51:19
And the good news keep on rolling in, after Saving Grace, it’s time for BURN NOTICE to get renewed. This funny original show from USA has gotten 4.4 million viewers for last week’s episode. I would say that it’s a success! It looks like the Summer is starting to get as busy as the Fall. (Source TV Guide Ausiello Report)

Dr. Becketts returns on STARGATE ATLANTIS
2007-08-08 19:32:23
Reports of Dr. Carson Beckett’s untimely demise last season on SCI FI’s STARGATE ATLANTIS have been greatly exaggerated or have they? Paul McGillion will reprise his role as everyone’s favorite Scottish physician in a two-episode arc during the series’ fourth season, which will premiere on Friday, September 28 at 10pm ET/PT. It was the fan cry heard ’round the Pegasus galaxy when Dr. Beckett was unexpectedly killed in an explosion at the end of season 3. His return to Stargate Atlantis promises to be every bit as shocking. In addition to McGillion’s return, Stargate Atlantis viewers can also look forward to season 4 guest appearances by Torri Higginson (”Dr. Elizabeth Weir”) and Stargate SG-1’s Christopher Judge (”Teal’c”). (Press Release by Sci-Fi)

Kristen Bell on LOST?
2007-08-08 18:22:57
Apparently Kriten Bell’s (Veronica Mars) name has been “brought up” in regards to a new character on LOST. The role is Charlotte, the “hot twentysomething who is said to be “precocious, loquacious and funny… a very successful academic who also knows how to handle herself in the real world.” I, for one, would love to see Kristen Bell in Lost. I think she would be very good. I have seen some of the more serious stuff she has done and the girl can act. It would be a great change from her Veronica Mars character. Unfortunately if you read closely, her name has only been “brought up” which pretty much means nothing. They are probably going through a list of available actresses at this point. Plus, it’s probably going to take a few rounds of auditioning until they make a decision. Knowing that they audition again and again for guest roles, I’m guessing that if it’s a regular part, it probably will take even longer for

SAVING GRACE gets 15 additional episodes
2007-08-08 17:32:10
TNT just ordered 15 additional episodes of SAVING GRACE, as announced today by Michael Wright, senior vice president in charge of the Content Creation Group for TNT, TBS and TCM. I did watch the first episode of Saving Grace and thought it was original and “crazy” but in a good way. I think Holly Hunter is probably one of the best actresses of our time, so that definitely helps. She absolutely makes the show worth watching. I have only seen the first episode so far, but it’s something to look out for.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE - Result Show Tonight
2007-08-13 12:30:47
Kelsey McNeal/FOX © 2007 Fox Broadcasting Co. I almost forgot that tonight is the result show of SO YOU THINK WE CAN DANCE we have been waiting for. It seems FOX was very effective in keeping the secret of who was eliminated on Thursday. I honestly cannot make any predictions about tonight’s eliminations, I just hope that Sabra and Pasha make it through. The other good news about getting an elimination show tonight is that we only have to wait one day until the next show.

On Tonight, Monday 8/13: WEEDS, CALIFORNICATION, and more…
2007-08-13 01:43:46
KYLE XY “House Of Cards” - 8pm ABC Family Tonight we follow Kyle as he tries to find the key in order to open the box he found in the ruins of ZZyzx. Kyle XY is always I pleasure to watch no matter the story of the episode. HEARTLAND “Smile” - 8pm TNT So I think tonight will be my last episode watching Heartland. I just don’t really care about it anymore and don’t have time to keep it on my schedule. Too bad because I do like Treat Williams. I just don’t think this show rose up to my expectations. I guess I was hoping for an Everwood type of show, but let’s face it, Heartland is not it. GREEK “Friday Night Frights” - 9pm ABC Family Another crazy episode. Greek is such a fun show to watch. It always puts me in a good mood. And Cappie is my favorite character, that guy is so fun, I just wish Casey would get back together with him. Kyle Gallner on THE SHIELD
2007-08-12 16:28:41
Veronica Mars fans rejoice because our boy Beaver Kyle Gallner just got a recurring role on THE SHIELD. He will play “a young man who’s eerily detached after fatally shooting an intruder.” Another disturbed character, but he plays them so well. I think I never got over him leaving Veronica Mars, just as he was starting to grow on me. That’s probably why I take any opportunities to watch his work. Tune in to The Shield when it comes back for its Seventh and final season in 2008. (Source Variety)

CRIMINAL MINDS finds its leading man
2007-08-12 16:01:15
CRIMINAL MINDS has finally found its replacement. Joe Mantegna (Joan of Arcadia, The Starter Wife) will be taking over for Mandy Patinkin. No details were released about the new character and when he will be making its first appearance yet. I like Joe Mantegna as an actor, but I am still afraid that Mandy Patinkin’s shoes are going to be hard to fill. I am curious to see how they will introduce the new character though, and will probably tune in for a few episodes this fall. (Source Variety)
