Torrential rainfall hits region 2007-06-25 09:49:30 Well i might as be writing this entry while sat in a boat or something like that. Why ? well if you don't know i live in Hessle/Hull, North Humberside in England and as i have never seen rain like this before in Hessle let alone England. Flood warnings have been issued across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire as heavy rainfall pounds the region
. Forecasters from the Met Office predicted up to 75mm of extra rainfall by the evening. Roads across the region were closed due to flooding and in South Yorkshire an emergency response team was put into action to deal with the crisis. Schools were closed and members of the public advised to avoid traveling unless absolutely essential. Flooding across the region caused delays for motorists and railway commuters. Rotherham and Doncaster were among the worst affected areas in South Yorkshire, with road closures and disruptions due to flooding.
