Restoran Wing Heong, Seremban 2007-07-17 00:00:00 It was one of those weekends, where you know you are going to be fatter, last weekend was one of those. Sure fat wan. I was told that we will be attending Sayang's relative's birthday celebrations, they are asking us to go for lunch in Seremban. Does Wing Heong Restaurant from Seremban ring a bell to anyone ? Nope, not to me either. Although this place is not well known to KL guys like me, I am sure they have quite a reputation with the Seremban people. We just expected a simple lunch to celebrate Sayang's Grand Aunties b'day, but instead they decided to cook up a very delightful 10 course lunch for their guests. So join me, as I try to recall the dishes on the menu which overwhelmed our taste buds. Excuse the pics though, as I lost my camera during the Penang trip, so have to make do with a 2MP Phone Camera instead.Very unsual, but the first course was, Loke Yuk Sau Meen ( Venison Long Noodles). It was a brithday celebration as such they serve Long Noodles, even the vegetabl
Sri Kembangan Spicy Pork Noodles 2007-07-16 04:21:00 I was a little bit bored of the food around my office and decided to head on to Sri Kembangan, town center. Decided to park my car near the market, just behind the main road, Jalan Besar (of Sri Kembangan) near the MCA Office. Directly opposite the MCA Office is the market itself and a coffeeshop that sells, Claypot Chicken Rice, and Pork Noodles. What caught my eye, was that sign , Spicy
Pork Noodle. So I walked to that lady, and asked, whats spicy pork noodle ah ? She answered, Ma Lat Chee Yuk Fan... oh... ok I will have one bowl please....The bowl arrived in less than 5 minutes, apparently this place somehow do not attract the crowds because it is not on the main road, and yet it's not so difficult to find. The cili padi she put there really made me sweat buckets. Hahahaha... it was so bad, I finished one packet of tissue paper. A bit too hot, and next time I come back , will definitely ask her not to put so much Cili Padi. Taste wise, it tastes like any other Pork Noodles
Toptaste Prawn Mee/Hokkien Mee @ Sin Kim Sun Kopitiam 2007-07-13 22:54:00 This is the very much talked about Hokkien
Mee in town. In the previous visit here, we had to come by a second time, because we came to this place at night, not knowing Toptaste opens only during the day. Their stall is different. The front of the stall is pasted with newspaper articles about their food. They have been over covered, but what the heck, cover them again... hahaha.... This trip round, I made it a point to come back for breakfast. I reached this place by about 9am. The breakfast crowd had already left for work, while I was left with many dirty tables, full of prawn mee bowls. This must mean everyone is here to eat the prawn mee. A quick look around, I notice 7 tables, all has a prawn mee bowl on them. Business must be brisk.I walked up to the stall, its manned by the lady and her foreign helper guy ( who speaks Hokkien already). I wonder why she asked me, add what ?(SOP meh to add stuff ?) I pointed at the weird looking praying mantis prawn ( I think thats what Read more: Prawn
Ayam Goreng Belacan , Kimberly Street, Penang 2007-07-12 03:33:00 Since I missed the RPM class , so I decided to walk around looking for food, in other words, Jalan jalan, cari makan. I asked one very stupid question, where can I find food ah ? The recept replied, oh !!! you in Penang
, food no problem. Walk this way, you will see Penang Rd... Ok so I walked that way reached Penang Road, I saw Odeon cinema, now showing: Sivaji !!... crossed my mind that maybe I should go watch a movie that night but no la... I think go cari makan better. So Jalan along Penang Road, suddenly can see one road cordoned off, cars not allow to enter all. Then I saw a sign, Pasar Malam everynight, Medan Lebuh Campbell . So I thought ok la, Pasar Malam sure a lot of stalls... mana tau tarak !!!Walk here there everywhere, suddenly I walked down Chintra Street
, which then leads down to Kimberly
Street. At the junction I saw this Belacan
Fried Chicken Stall. I asked the stall owner, so if I buy from you can go into that food court and eat or not ? He said can , so
Penang Char Koay Teo @ Lorong Selamat 2007-07-11 09:15:00 I had a long day today, and was looking forward to checking into the Hotel, before making my way to FF Penang
for 7pm RPM class. Unfortunately for me, I have a problem, I don't know the roads in Penang well. So while looking for my hotel, I managed to find Lorong Selamat, so I thought since I might not find this place again tomorrow, I go tapao first la.Which stall is this ? One Auntie's stall who is opposite the Koptiam Above. In case you were asking, yes this one has 3 big prawns in it, and she charges RM5.50 for each CKT serving. I didn't dare to ask whats the 6.50 and 7.50 ones are for. I must say, it was pretty good CKT, and I just noticed something different about Penang CKT style of cooking. Its cooked on a Coal Stove, instead of a Gas Stove in KL.There you go, the finishing touch , and I must have solved the code as to why Penang CKT tastes so good. You need kung fu for this and its captured on Film... The Hand must move fast enough to spread the Kuay Teo evenly on th
HomeMade Burgers 2007-07-11 09:08:00 After tasting this Azim fellas burger at TTDI, I was so disappointed with the way the burger came out I told myself, make my own wan, see whose burger tastes better. So finally last Saturday , I went buy all the stuff after a quick search on google, I clicked on Cooks.com recipe place went through a few recipes and went of to buy the ingredients. It was 7.7.7that day , so I wanted to do something abit more special la, like try to make burger all. So here's what they suggested we get, Minced Meat, Worchestershire Sauce, Salt, and Onions. So simple only wo... so I decided to get some stuff lor. Before I left for the Pasar Besar in Cheras, behind KL Velodrome (white elephant now), I told myself , go get Minced Lamb, and Minced Pork la... can't make beef burgers, coz Sayang can't eat em. I walked the entire Pasar Besar Cheras, guess what ? I saw only 1 Mutton Stall, 1 Beef Stall, and about 10 Pork Stalls ( separate area). I managed to buy my Minced Pork, but Minced Lamb ah, sorry l Read more: Burgers
Spices of Malaysia - @ The Mines Shopping Fair 2007-07-06 21:53:00 Claypot Chicken Rice & Double Boiled Soup StallEveryone's always on the go during lunch time, and food courts are just the place to provide us with a quick economical refuelling before we head on back to work. If you work in or near a shopping complex, you will be at times spoiled for choices, don't know where/what to eat (ie MidValley).Anyway, one of those days I had to stop by at Mines Shopping
Fair to look at some Computer parts I needed for work, and was pleasantly surprised that the once gloomy, and 15 years ago looking Foodcourt had been renovated, and it also has been given a name, Spices
of Malaysia
. It used to look like a hawker center, whoa, now it looks just a world apart. This is not the first I have been here, and everytime I come here, I always end up ordering from one stall, that sells Claypot Chicken Rice and Double Boiled Herbal Soup ( Dan Thong). The newly renovated Food Court EntranceClaypot Chicken Rice ( can add eggs, salted fish, etc)Chicken Herbal SoupTheir men
Azim Burger Shack @ TTDI 2007-07-06 05:16:00 After a friend showed me the Friedchillies video titled, Best Burger
in Town, it made me so excited about this place, I practically went down there and dragged sayang together with me the very next day. Gian already ma !This place is located at the Medan Selara @ TTDI, Jln Burhanuddin Helmi. Opposite one of my more favoured place, Penang Mali. It wasn't very crowded for a Medan Selera , which started me on my suspicions. Why this place not crowded ?Anyways we got ourselves seated, and shortly after, a waitress came by and put a two page spread menu infront of us and went off to attend to her chores. Sayang ordered her Chicken Burger, I ordered a Double Cheese Burger. I remembered that I had ordered the additional Mushroom Sauce, but it didn't come.Look here is the catch. Have you seen the Friedchillies Video ? The one that talked about best burger in town ... If you haven't , don't bother. Why ? The burger they shot in the video is definitely different from the burger I Read more: Shack
Restoran Tu-Long, MidValley (The Boulevard) 2007-07-05 06:12:00 La Mian... anyone ?If you crave for noodles which are hand made, and served in various types of soups, and stews, this is the place for you. It was recommended by my cousin who is a close friend of the owner. MY FM DJ, Lam something. If you tune into the morning show of MYFM, he is the one half of the equivalent of JJ & Rudy on Hitz. When we arrived at the entrance, I had a feeling that this place was going to be pricey. Why ? Nice decor, very traditional-ish looking wall papers which make me feel like I was transported back to China. Even the lady who greeted us, spoke in Mandarin with a heavy Chinese Accent. We got seated and immediately the menu was put on the table. Unfortunately for me, although I look like AhPek, but I could not understand any Mandarin.. , so here I go, minus one point for hiring mandarin speaking only, waiteress. English also kenot... cis !!Ok, after checking the menu , the pricing is quite ok. Noodles from RM12 - 20.Hmm... they serves noodles of cours Read more: Boulevard
Food Galore @ Kepong Baru Pasar Malam 2007-06-29 22:44:00 If you wanted to find food, and you are lost for ideas, where do you go ? The answer is Pasar Malam lo !! It was a Sunday, we went out looking for food in Kepong. As we were making our way towards Careffour, Jusco Kepong, we stumbled upon Kepong Baru's Pasar Malam. We didn't know what we could find in this Pasar Malam..... but I was darn sure we could find something to eat.We parked our car at the old Pavillion (which is now an abandoned building) and walked to the Pasar Malam site. Since I had recently just brought back some Tarts from Raub, the first stop was to Tong Kee Confectionary. Tong Kee still does make some of the better tasting Egg Tarts, and pastries in KL. We bought one Egg Tart, and One Kaya Puff.Tong Kee Egg TartsTong Kee Kaya PuffsWe had to compare, and we could not wait before I forget how the Raub's tarts and pastries tasted. OK, here's my 2 sen worth of opinion. Tong Kee still makes those Egg Tarts, with quality. Its not like we will find out how
Mee Goreng @ Taman Million, Jalan Ipoh 2007-06-26 06:00:00 Jalan Ipoh, has many places that hosts some nice eateries. We were at one recently which we drive past quite often but have not had the time to go. Its at Taman Million , this stall is famous for serving nice and delicious noodles. I have had the pleasure of eating at this stall since, 1999.This noodle stall is situated at the corner of the children's play ground, right outside of the stationery shop, facing Jalan Ipoh. I have been here many times but not recently. The view of the stall from across the roadWantan Mee , without Wantan....Fried Kuay Teo, must add Mee.... alamak..Its been I think 3 years since the last time I paid a visit to this stall. It hasn't changed very much. They still have 3 stalls, one for Frying, one for making the soup based noodles, (ching tong and curry ), and a drinks section. Whoa, road side stall also got organisation wan...So the lady, who hasn't aged abit since I last saw her, came by to ask for order. Sayang had her wantan mee... but they don
Ampang Homeland Yong Tau Foo 2007-06-24 23:53:00 Ampang Homeland
Yong Tau Foo @ SunwayThe old Ampang town, is synonymous with Yong Tau Foo. So for most of us, we just take it for granted that the best YTF must come from Ampang. So I hope this post will make you think differently. We were on one of our road trips after visiting SisInLaw (was pregnant ) in Sunway, so decided to pop by that area to look for something nice to eat. We saw the main food court near Pyramid...nah no parking .. we saw some Mamaks... nah... also spotted a few small cafes, but one restaurant caught our eye, as we rolled our vehicle down that street. Ampang Homeland YTF !!! So we found a parking spot ( note: Finding a spot to park your car can be tricky )This place really different. Its brightly lit, its chairs and tables are similar to those you find in those standard kopitiams ( decent la). The menu lain sikit. Here they don't sell you YTF by the piece, like most of them do. It comes in a set of minimum 5 pieces. Of course on the menu they also s
Oldtown Kopitiam 2007-06-22 20:55:00 Everyone's got their own Kopitiam franchise nowadays. Oldtown, those fellas who commercialised Ipoh White Coffee has also jump onto the Kopitiam bandwagon. In my opinion they are doing very very well, and to my knowledge has got the most outlets opened and has a good presence in the Klang Valley. The general public basically flock to these kopitiams. They serve simple food, in cantonese we call them "siu sik" , Small food to directly translate. The decor is simple, yet nice and warm. The coffee tables are made of marble tops, similar to those I used to find in my grandpa's house. On their feature wall, they have a wallpaper backdrop of the first OldTown Ipoh Kopitiam street. We were on our movie pilgrimage, since we couldn't get our tickets from our preffered cinemas, GSC 2Utama (New Wing) and Cineleisure, we headed down to 1Utama TGV to watch our movie. We walked into this Oldtown , right outside of TGV. There were lots of people in this small little kopitiam. Ok, maybe it se
Miracle O7 2007-06-20 22:57:00 I was pretty much doing what I did in Miracle 06, I did a lot but I was not there to work out. This time my excuse was I had back pain, cannot jump. It was a Saturday, I had just come back from Pahang.... the terrible long drive gave me back pain ( however some other people might come up with their stories as to how I might have gotten my back pains).Sayang took a half day off, so that she could attend this special launch, charity and get together with the body combat guys. I of course just like last year came by because she was there. Service with a Smile (FF staff on the left, helping with registration)By the time we arrived, the place Cineleisure was already packed with people. Not so much from Fitness First members, staff, etc, but the complex had other plans of their own. We went straight down to the LG floor to register Sayang and buy those tickets. On the way down, we saw many familiar faces, especially CLM members whom I missed dearly. Since I wasnt gonna work , I
Raub, Chinese Tarts and Pastries 2007-06-13 11:48:00 It 's time to go back to Merapoh again. Stopping by at Raub purposely to go back to this unmarked Kopitiam in the heart of Raub. I previously had stumbled upon this Kopitiam , keyword "stumbled" after I had lunch at Ratha Curry house, "Famous Curry Fish Head Restaurant". Unfortunately for me, it was only famous, I wished it was delicious too. So the story begin after we had lunch at Ratha's. While walking back to our car, we were talking about how you can be famous , yet your food sucks. How come in the heart of Raub town we couldn't find some nice chinese food to sample wan ? Just as that thought came by, we saw a Chinese
Kopitiam, really traditional koptiam la. Inside I saw a lot of people queing up to buy something, that attracted my attention. What were the signs of a succesful restaurant, or a place that sells good food. Firstly, you must see a crowd. Secondly there have newspaper clippings of their establishment published in various news papers. Thirdly, if Read more: Tarts

Goodbye Loganathan Arumugam 2007-06-05 22:52:00 ricI was quite shocked to hear two days ago that Loga , one of the icons of Malaysian music was hospitalized. Sayang must have read some place that he was suffering from cancer. And then in a short time, she had read on some blog that he has passed away.Although I was not a hardcore fan who knew the lyrics to all their songs, I have time and time again, confessed to how much I like their music. Although I have never bought their albums, I have always been able to walk into a pub where they were playing their songs. The most recent gig they did was at a Pub in TheCurve, Damansara. Or was it Hotel Royalle Bintang. That picture was taken in Dec 16 2006. We never suspected how come Loga got replaced. Bands always change members, but in this picture Loga was replaced by someone of similar built. The only thing missing was the ball of hair on his head.Anyways, thank you Mr Loga, for all the nice hits, you have given us. Read more: Goodbye
Kuala Lipis - Hakka Mee 2007-06-01 20:27:00 It was supposed to be another routine morning where we wake up early in the morning, go to our usual Malay stall and have our usual nasi lemak or nasi kerabu. We are however fast becoming bored with the usual kind of food we can eat in Lipis. Our choices limited largely due to the fact we have a malay colleague tagging along most of the time.Kuala Lipis is a small town, even if you combine the all the Taman Taman perumahans ( can count them all with fingers on one hand) and the actual Center of town itself. Luckilly for us, our colleague doesn't eat breakfast. So we are free to roam and eat whatever we want to .So we ventured off into the center of Kuala Lipis town. Where we heard (rumours-la) that in Kuala Lipis, one stall is very famous for their Hakka Mee. I am not very sure when was the last time I had hakka mee, or how is actually taste like. So off we went. So we parked out car, and walked to the Chinese Foodcourt Lane. Its a lane where you can find chinese hawker food
Taman Negara - Ikan Kelah 2007-05-28 10:14:00 Its back to the jungle again , after that horrendous time I had in the hospital. Some one called me the Little Prick... Victim !! Work stalled while I was away, and I was anxious to start the ball rolling again at work. One more site to install , Taman Negara, clean clean waters, and lots of ikan kelah !!! So work took us right to the brigde where the 4 day journey to Gunung Tahan begins. I was at Gunung Tahan's base camp. Make not mistake, this is Tmn Negara , Merapoh, not Kuala Tahan. You won't find 5 star accomodations, restaurants, lots of tourists here. Instead you find crystal clear waters, cool, quiet and peaceful camp site. Trekking up to Gunung TahanThis is also the site where they have the Kelah Sanctuary. The ikan kelah is the most sought after fresh water fish locally. So much sought after that it is now almost extinct. When you enter the park gates and register yourself to enter this park at the ranger's office, you would have walked past their aquariums whe
Choc Chip Cookies, & Crab Curry 2007-05-19 03:19:00 CCC , and CC will be served for CC's potluck dinner. We began at about 130pm after lunch. We started by beating the butter until it becomes fluffy, then we put in the egg. Thats where all the hard work is actually. I was doing it for a good 20 minutes, when the mix is well done, we put in the dough mix. Wah, I am already having a good workout. It took us another about 10-15 minutes before the dough is wrapped.By now the dough is choclately sticky. The blend was quite sweet I thought. Next time will definitely try to make own dough and will remember to make it less sweet. Sayang thought it was too sweet , Sayang's dad thought it should be the way it is. Then we put the cookie dough into the baking tray. Lined with baking paper. Heated the oven up to 180C and we put in the cookies to bake for 10 minutes. After 6 minutes we could see the cookies beginning to flatten. When we took the cookie trays to turn them around , I had the idea of putting M&Ms on top of them. Not know Read more: Cookies

Damansara Seafood Village 2007-05-13 01:54:00 Sayang and I had the pleasure of trying out Patrick's Steamboat place somewhere in Kampung Kayu Ara. Its Damansara Seafood Village
. Coincidentally, in today's Sunday Mag, this place was featured in the food section of the publication. I must say I did see the pictures from their website, the restaurant looked really classy, picturesque is more like the word to use here.I was there for the first time, and it looked like any other steamboat restaurants you can find in Manjalara, or in Cheras Business Center. The only difference is that, is has got huts in and around the place, other wise it is open air dining. We went early, reached at about 7pm, to beat the crowd. I snapped a few pictures of the restaurant. It came out really nice, I mean, the pictures make the place look a lot nicer than in real life.Al Fresco dining was the words Patrick used to describe this setting. This place is lacking in air conditioning, or fans around the place. If they had vapour fans all over the p
Recovering from Dengue 2007-04-29 09:03:00 Recovering From Dengue
So after 5 days of "enjoyable" stay at the hospital, the doctor came to me one morning and told me, we will see the blood test results, if everything is okay, you can be discharged. You did hear about my appetite which wasn't present, but that day, I must have recovered abit, I was caught eating some fruits when the doctor came in. Whatever it was, the hospital food didn't help me very much with the appetite, I was wacking the grapes, Jambu Air which was brought over by parents and relatives. When I got discharged that, day, I remembered the doctor telling me, eat anything you want to eat. My body was still bloated, I looked fat, had a lot of water in my body. I got discharged on a Wednesday and got a two day MC, for Thursday and Friday. I slept most of the time, with my appetite still recovering. No more fevers to say the least.Sayang was nice enough to come over every day, hence her disappearance from gym.On Thursday and Friday, my sleeping patterns we
FatboykenaDengueFever.Blogspot.com Part 4 2007-04-25 04:27:00 They came and took my blood every morning. There was a period of 2 - 3 days which I remembered those nurses kept coming in on the hour to monitor my bp and temperature. I experienced a suppository for the first time in my life. They stuffed fever, gastric and anti vomitting medicine up my ass. I gotta say, suppositories worked really well for me, especially for the fever meds. The reason why they had to stuff meds up my ass is as according to them, I kept throwing up meds they put in through my mouth. Not true, about my meds getting vomitted, but I did involuntarilly vomit quite often before meals and sometimes after meals. My appetite was not there at all, and of course the hospital food did not help much. Coupled with the fact that I haven't had curry ( fever not supposed to take curry or something like that), the food I consumed during that period were like, white bread, milo O, fish porridge ( with no fish ), chicken porridge ( where the chicken smelt like they didn't wa
FatboykenaDengueFever.Blogspot.com Part 3 2007-04-25 04:23:00 That is theorectically how my fever started, for those who asked. I got bitten by that aedes mozzie. Where did I get bitten ? Seriously it could have beeen anywhere. Doctors were telling me it takes the virus 7-10 days of incubation before the host shows the first signs of fever. But on countback, I was probably still in Korea at that time. Maybe less time, then I could be in Pahang, in Kuala Lipis when I was bitten.Thursday 1130am, 19th April 2007.I was already home after the trip to the clinic, already in bed trying to sleep. The phone rang and minutes later, my dad came into the room. Pack some clothes, you are getting admitted to the Hospital. The blood test results showed your platelet levels dropping alarmingly.Tiu !! Can't sleep have to go hospital somemore.Packed clothes for 2 days, and of we went. Sayang who happened to be on a half day was already here when we were ready to go to the hospital. We were both seated calmly in the living room waiting for dad to send
FatboykenaDengueFever.Blogspot.com Part 2 2007-04-22 08:51:00 So my first fever came about on Saturday night 14th April 2007, although I remembered only vaguely, I think it was the same night Sayang's mom got discharged from UH. I was at her place when I began to feel aches all over, a niggling migraine and of course that mild fever. Just normal flu symptoms, nothing I couldn't handle. So I drove home that night , and tried to sleep off the fever. I remembered Sayang telling me months ago when I was doing an installation at a construction site, any fever go get your blood tested for dengue ( in my mind, a ya rite was playing around)....... this can't be the dengue la, if I kena means , I would have gotten it when I was working at the construction site. my boss and the appointment. Sunday 15th April 2007.The fever did not subside. Since I had been spending most of my time in and out of of Pahang, and when I rushed back I was at the hospital, my parents were getting used to not having me around. I zombied around in my feverish state (
FatboykenaDengueFever.Blogspot.com 2007-04-22 08:11:00 I know I have not been updating this blog for quite a while, there are lots of shit that happened to me in that time. I also don't know where to begin writing..... Ok, lets begin by looking at my picture when I first arrived in Korea, first images, @ Incheon International Airport. Remember that fat face !!!I was in Korea for a week, on official business and in the after hours, we went on to see as much Seoul as possible, eat as much Seoul and to enjoy Seoul's outdoor weather as much as possible. That face got much fatter by the time I returned home to KL. In that one week I came back to KL, I ate more Korean food, but unfortunately, the eating spree did not continue for very long. A fucking Aedes Mosquito bit me, and I got dengue ( aiyah !!!! got bitten)...... as a result.. I am now, half the man I used to be........ almost everything.... :DDuring the time I was admitted in the hospital, 5.5 days of it, I had a lot of time to do some thinking. All in all I was feverish for 8
Help !!! Rising Crime .. What can we do about it ? 2007-07-18 23:30:00 When I called Sayang this morning, she told me something about the increasing crime rate in Kepong. She's been hearing stories of her neighbour's houses getting bulgarized, slashed , etc.. and I found such a story online from TheStar Online. Its obviously bugging her a bit, so I am just going to start the ball rolling by doing some searches online.Increase in crime rates Posted by: chui488 I don't know if my neighbours feel the same as I do, but the thought of living in fear daily - being burglarized/slashed/robbed is definitely not the way I want to live in the neighbourhood of Kepong Baru, KL. Thieves/burglars are more brave to assault their victims with parangs etc in broad daylight. These days they not only break into your houses - as a matter of fact, they walk into your houses as though they are your friends, and they walk out of your houses thru the front gate. The neighbours won't even think it is a robbery taking place, while the bur Read more: Rising
Food & Tea Restaurant @ Berjaya Times Square 2007-07-18 08:55:00 Actually on the opening night of Transformers, we went down to Berjaya Times
Square
. We very happilly proceeded to IMAX to get our tickets on the tenth floor then we came back down to the 3rd floor where most of the eateries are located in Times Square. This place is so huge, we didn't want to risk getting lost in this enourmous shopping is huge, I mean someone can really get lost in this place. We saw Food & Tea, Hei Foon Dei (Happy Land), and thought hey maybe we try HK cuisine. The only other Food & Tea outlet I have been to was the one in Taman Segar, outside of Leisure Mall. Used to go there often because that outlet allows smoking in their premises. But this one at Berjaya Times Square, I thought was a bit different. It nicely renovated, with nice red chairs, comfy, their premise was brightly lit and so forth. Their staff was very attentive too. By the time we sat down, someone attended to us.The surprise came in the menu, they have a new one. A SET MENU, to entice us to

Of course, with no thanks at all to the MPH Mega Chain of bookstores.I feel sorry for my friends who actually took the time to actually pre-order the book from MPH , Popular, Borders, etc at the RRP. Teochew Chendol @ Penang Road 2007-07-19 23:12:00 Pic Taken from Fatman Seoul's BlogOn my last day in Penang
, I told myself I had to pay a visit to the Penang Road kopitiam which until today I do not know whats the name. There must be three things to try at this Kopitiam. Their Asam Laksa, their char koay teo and the outside stall - Teochew Chendol. When I arrived and found parking, I already notice people crowding around the Chendol Stall. So I took out my phone ( camera sudah hilang la )... and started recording. Soon after I went into the coffee shop and ordered my laksa. The koay teo lady was no where to be seen, so had to wait a while la. I ordered my koay teo and everyone seems to understand cantonese nowadays. So my laksa came, and hmm !! it was delicious. There is something different with this fella's asam laksa. I mean the soup tastes like it has tissue paper in it. Its suppose be the fish being mashed up and mixed up with the asam laksa soup. Yummy !! Quite Good i must say.I also managed to record the Kung Fu of the
Harry Potter Boycott Saga Continues 2007-07-22 22:14:00 For some reason or another, I am finding this quite amusing. The saga continues with more news reports from the Star Online. And I would like to highlight this from theStar OnlineOriginal Story Here JOHOR BARU: The price war in the sale of Harry
