free business card templates
2007-07-16 19:30:04
We all know how important it is to market ourselves and businesses with the humble business cards. Yet, engaging a designer can sometimes be expensive or may be unaffordable for people who just started out in a small business. Many will attempt their own and that can be a struggle. Well, here is an online business card printing company that allows you to design your own business cards with business card templates and tutorials to guide you through the DIY process. According to the website, there are thousands of royalty-free backgrounds to choose from for the business cards, which sounds great, but I am trying to navigate my way to view those templates and backgrounds. After a few tries, I finally got my way around and do agree that this is a great place for anyone who do not have any design skills to give it a go. I haven’t evaluate the card printing rates but I believe it’s dependent on the type of paper and printing requested. At least, you have get your own business ca

shopping for a lightweight laptop
2007-07-15 10:28:43
I’ve been thinking about a smaller and lighter laptop for travel purposes. Though I adore my MacBook Pro, travelling around with it isn’t practical since I’m always travelling with a 3 year old. Those who are moms know what it is to pack for little ones. The ultra portable Sony Vaio is a real delight and it is truly tempting! But for that price, I could get one with equal or better performance such as the Dell Latitude X1 which is ultralight at 1.14kg and less than 1″ thick! Besides, I was told that Dell Memory is cheaper and easily available, unlike the Sony originals. Anyone has a recommendation for lightweight laptops?

display a digital picture frame
2007-07-15 10:04:33
It’s another one of the Sundays where I prefer to take thing a little easy and not be governed by time. Since I have abit of time today, I took some time to organize our travel photos in our last family vacations to Perth and Shanghai. I haven’t printed any of those travel photos as I’m running out of space on my display table for photo frames. It is timely that I came across the cool idea of displaying photos in digital frames. it’s the weekends again!
2007-07-13 22:43:45
Whoa! It is the weekends again - how fast! This is definitely different from the one I had last week cos my detox is over and I’m feeling alot better Well, I mentioned in my earlier travel post about the possibility of Las Vegas in our December vacation and it seems to be materializing! While checking out an overview on our trip, I can’t help but take note of Orlando and the popular theme parks. I know Clayton will love to visit Disney World and the other fun theme parks but we just have to put this on hold first. But I will keep in mind the discount Disney tickets should we plan for a trip to Orlando in the future. The best thing about these discount tickets is that they can be booked on line and basically it is so convenient to get all the Orlando night show tickets and theme park tickets via Orlandofuntickets.com. Save time on queuing and along the way, you get to save some bucks for other things.

I was greeted with a nice surprise yesterday when my blogging buddy, Cyberpartygal, dropped me a comment to pick this hot badge from her blog. The honour of a ‘Rockin Girl Blogger ’ sent smiles to my face… I felt a little flattered. Thank, Em, for remembering and nominating me. I needed this boost after a long week of detox and healing reactions. I admire her for being one of the all-time top earner at PayPerPost and this girl is working very hard to keep up with that title - keep it up, Cyberpartygal… and you truly rock! vacation negotiation
2007-07-12 10:58:06
With our Christmas vacation in the pipeline, I am working on a couple more workshops before we can finally take off. One of the workshop will focus on Image Asset Management for Corporate Women which is happening in October and another Corporate Coaching program in November. Since I’m working hard on these projects, I am trying to persuade DH on a short trip to Las Vegas, since I have heard much about the new developments in Las Vegas Real Estate in the last few months. But I think I’m more keen on touring the Las Vegas hotels and activities, as well as, enjoying some retail therapy. Well, negotiations are underway… we’ll see (*wink*)

blog advertising
2007-07-12 10:25:40
I’m in the last day of my detox and tell you… I am really glad. I promise I will cover my experience in details but for now, here is a quick post to put some news out there for anyone who likes blog for money. Blog advertising is certainly not new by now and it is getting popular for advertisers to hire bloggers to review their products and services. So this is another blog advertising platform who brings together bloggers and advertisers together in a simple business relationship. Very simply, advertisers need buzz for their products and services and the blogosphere is one of the most effective channel to get that message out. With that in mind, bloggers are paid to announce the message, and in return direct traffic to advertisers’ websites. In the last eight months, I have personally found it a decent money making opportunity for SAHM and WAHM. This is great for anyone who loves to write and review products/services and most importantly, you need to own a blog. If

compare your mortgage options
2007-07-18 22:47:25
We live in a super internet age where everything can be accessed online at the convenience of our homes. Unlike previously, buying something such as office supplies, laptop, your favourite shoes, beauty skin care, apparel, home and living items can only be done in the shops and that can take up time with traveling, driving…etc. But the internet helps us to become better and more savvy shoppers, even on matters like shopping for for mortgage rates | mortgage quotes. Shoprate.com provides consumers the opportunity to shop and compare mortgage rates and get quotes from various financial institutions, thus expanding the options available. So keep this resource in mind and you may find it handy when the need arises to get the right mortgage from a good lender.

wordless wednesday
2007-07-18 18:48:46
This was Clayton enjoying himself in VivoCity during one of our trips back to Singapore. Daddy figured out that it was a better idea to go shirtless than wearing a drenched tee. If you are heading to Singapore, don’t forget to bring your kiddies to this fun-filled open water park. These are simple pleasures that bring smiles to little faces. And when they smile, you smile too…

Why do most people think that fast and supercar s are for men and men alone? Sometimes, I will be browsing an Auto magazine in Borders and very soon, I’ll be attracting stares and smiles from guys around me. But no one is going to give me those funny stares with these downloadable supercar wallpapers and screensavers. What’s different about these supercars wallpapers at vcars.com is the quality. Driveway - free online file sharing
2007-07-18 04:20:41
I have been using my gmail for all my emailing needs and like it for its user-friendliness and flexibility but when it comes to sending attachments via my gmail, file sizes are limited to 10-20Mb space. But with Driveway, you can park your big attachment files (up to 500Mb) using ParkitTM links. Driveway is a free online file sharing service that allows you to send and share big files that can’t be sent via the usual email system. All you need is an internet connection and web browser and you are set to share files with friends and business partners. What is cool about Driveway is the editable widgets that allows you to edit, save and send with one click instead of navigating back and forth from your local computer.

What I like to do more in my business…
2007-07-18 00:39:50
A one2one conversation is taking place in Dawud Miracle’s blog and I’m bringing this topic on “What’s the the part of business, besides relationships, that you look forward to doing more of?” to this blog. These series of one2one conversations are originated from someone I have high admiration for - she’s none other than Liz Strauss. Here are my thoughts to the question: (more…)

on accounts receivable invoices
2007-07-17 22:19:09
A brief conversation on the dinner table with an old friend led me to learn about invoice factoring. Being an entrepreneur can be a daunting task for some and my friend was struggling maintaining a regular cash flow due to some delayed payments from clients and business partners. As some of the credit terms are up to 60 days or more, she sought help by submitting accounts receivable invoices to manage her business cash flow and business expansion. From her, I further understood that companies can receive up to 95% of the accounts receivable invoices once they are evaluated as the advanced cash flow received is dependent on the industry, products and situation. Perhaps factoring can help businesses who need urgent cash flow such as paying suppliers and staff payroll. These invoices are purchased at a discount by a factoring company and usually apply to companies that sell products with terms less than 60 days only.

PJ Mommy had sent me an invitation to try out her new beta site iBakeSale.com. While the site has an interesting name, I finally found some time to check out this new way of ’shop-save-cash back’ online shopping experience. What it means is that you can receive cashbacks from participating merchants and decide to donate the cash rewards to the charity, organization or church body of your choice. Or if you prefer, you can keep the cash back rewards all to yourself. This may be a good platform to raise funds for a good cause or you may like to raise some funds for your kids’ education or aging parents. Whatever you decide, these cash backs are ‘real’ money credited into your credit card and not some vouchers or discounts. Well, I’m sure about you but this sounds good to me.What’s great is that there are some fantastic merchants in the program such as The Body Shop, Nordstrom and Wal-mart. Check out the site, spread the word and start saving for a

H.O.W. feature - Bug & Pickle
2007-07-17 08:25:09
Couple of months ago, I did a review on a range of natural body products for moms and babes known as Bug and Pickle . After reading all the raving reviews of the products, I went on to read more about the people behind this lovely online store. It turned out that the store was the brainchild of two sisters - Bug (Kim) and Pickle (Nicole), who were also entrepreneurs in a successful and unique spa in Vancouver, Bloom Essentials Spa. I’m honoured to share the story of how these two sisters start their online business… and after you read their story, don’t forget to check out the great range of wholesome body products in the store too! After blogging for more than 6 months now, I still consider a newbie especially when it comes to fixing some script problems experienced from time to time. I am no programmer and actually I freak out at scripts and web languages. If you ask me, I rather seek advice and help from the right people when a need arises for me to fix any programming issues with my blogs or websites. Whether it’s a discussion on C++, PHP, Java scripts or Visual basis language, web developers and programmers should find this language familiar in Dream.In.Code, a community that brings together developers and programmers. news at PayPerPost
2007-07-20 19:09:34
Things are changing again at PayPerPost . If you are a postie, you may have known that you can only take 2 opps per blog per day now whereas in the past, it was 3 opps per blog per day. In other words, you can still take more if you have more approved blogs. I suppose this is good in a way as there are more opportunities for others to earn some bucks. For those who only has one blog listed, then they may see a drop in their earnings from now on. We who are active in PayPerPost know that it hasn’t been an easy ride in the last many months. Besides seeing a drop in opps this month, the opps are reserved in lightning speed so they appear ‘gray’. It can be frustrating but like they say ‘the best man wins’. But PayPerPost is not the only blog advertising platform to look at. I am glad that I did well at Sponsored Reviews this month. I have more than 10 accepted bids this month and the price ranges from $10 - $50 (before 35% commission to SR). I am thankful as th

sold my first TextLink Ads
2007-07-19 18:14:34
In the last week, I was greeted by a couple of nice surprises in my mailbox in the morning. I sold my first text link ads in this blog and few days later, I sold my first Linkworth ads. I know some of you are doing very well in these ads platform and I share your joy. Nothing beats residual income, is it? It’s still a good start for me and I’m looking forward to more! quick house sale
2007-07-19 12:46:36
A friend of mine just received news that she has to relocate to another country and be stationed there for 2 years. But due to the short deadline, she is stuck with alot of things to settle like selling her home, car and clearing up some banking loans and stuff. It is a good thing that she doesn’t have to worry much about her independent parents but her immediate concern is to sell her property fast. Companies like MPG Investments offers quick property sale where desperate sellers can sell their properties and receive the cash as quick as 7 days. Unlike appointing a real estate agent, the process can be long and tedious and in my friend’s case, it is definitely not ideal. Now that she comes to know MPG, she can hopefully sell her house and be relocated by next month to carry on with her next appointment. If you ever need to sell your property fast, you may like to find out more about MPG.

Spills from my heart…I am healed!
2007-07-19 10:50:20
I shared about my health condition some time back and thought I would share some updates here. A week had passed since my detox ended and I am glad to say that my asthma and rhinitis are both gone! You won’t believe how much this means to me as I have been having night coughs for the past few years. The only time the cough stops is when I am on heavy anti-histamines medication plus some other drugs given by the doctor. The red alert came when I was diagnosed with asthma few months ago. I was devastated. Perhaps asthma doesn’t mean much to some people but for me, it is a painful thing to accept. All these years, I have been an active and health conscious person, minus my love for chocolates, so having asthma means I can’t be doing the things I used to do. I found myself breathless on few occasions even on just climbing up a flight of stairs - that was just so abnormal for me. So I finally went on a FULL detox 2 weeks ago when the asthma was getting bad and my rhinitis

next google update is coming
2007-07-19 10:08:36
I have been reading about the coming google update that is happening anytime this month. While I wouldn’t bother too much about search engine optimization or link popularity a year ago, things are quite different now. For those of us who write paid reviews or are involved in blog advertising, we know that page ranking does affect our blogging status and performance. This is also why companies, webmasters and businesses are spending money on - to optimize their websites to increase web traffic and its web presence among the search engines. To do that, more and more companies are paying for SEO services, all with the objective of increasing its link popularity. For those who are new in SEO, linking to websites with high page ranks can help to give your websites a push. Of course, there is more about optimizing a website than linking to high ranking sites. While we await eagerly for the next google update, let’s continue to explore the world of SEO in this cyber community.

blogging moms
2007-07-19 07:10:26
I’m meeting more work-at-home moms in the blogosphere in the last few months and it has been encouraging. Many of these moms used to be SAHM until they got involved with blog advertising. While chatting with few of them, I have discovered that they have resigned from their jobs to spend more time with their kids and along the way, they started earning a living through writing paid reviews. I know that some people still criticize this mode of monetization from blogs but the truth is that, this is indeed a decent and legitimate way of working from home and making money. These moms still face the challenge of balancing motherhood and blogging/writing, while fulfilling their roles as wives and ‘managers’ of the house. It ain’t easy staying up till wee hours of the morning just to write some posts while the family is fast asleep. This is hard work. So if you are a WAHM who are involved in writing paid reviews, kudos to you and give yourself a pat of the back - you ar
