Acceptance
2007-07-30 12:38:59
By: {Leon} Life is about accepting and understanding other people’s behaviour. It is alien to some people to accept in others what they cannot accept in themselves. But it causes far less pain to learn acceptance of issues that trouble you, as life has a habit of throwing up what you least like to happen or have most trouble in accepting. Acceptance is the key to not having these troubles sent your way, as acceptance erodes away the fear of all the worries of life that befall you.

Tiredness
2007-07-30 12:37:43
You talk of tiredness as a matter of importance. It is to you and many other people on your planet. How can one go about their daily chores when they are feeling tired, how can they best be themselves, when this tiredness controls their bodies. If you take a look at yourself for a start and cast out of your life anything you are overdoing, that is unneeded. The way to complete any task with the least of ease is to work at a steady pace. Does a tree and it’s branches and leaves grow overnight every spring. No it takes weeks and months to grow to its full size and elegance, moving at a steady and even pace of growth. In times of tiredness, close your eyes and think how the animal kingdom manages to work and rest when they need to. A grizzly bear does not waste energy it will spend time fishing so that it can eat and replenish its energy, but when the task is done it rests. You may say my life is not as easy as a grizzly bear, well it may not be, all I am asking is for you to ta

Spiritual Growth
2007-07-29 19:07:35
By: {karen} Why is that we have to suffer to grow spiritually, why can't growth be brought about by happiness and love. After all, cannot these two emotions be extremely uplifting, and bring out much soul searching. Maybe it is because when we experience these feelings we are focused on someone or something else. Whereas suffering and pain usually requires our attentions to be focused on ourselves and inward. Maybe that is something we should think about next time we go through a difficult or painful period. Intense periods of introspection can bring about great changes within our own psyche. I have noticed that there is also a increase of mental control or will power for want of a better word. For myself, I have noticed that after much reflection on the different changes that are occurring in my life and to myself that I need to find a quiet place where I am not so distracted. Home and work do not offer the solitude that is needed for this task. I guess its off to find a sanctuary

Meditation
2007-07-29 19:06:37
By: {Karen} I have been trying to be more self disciplined about meditating as I have found sleeping difficult. This does help me to quieten down before sleep. But have recently experienced meditations that have been different. I normally, take some time to ground and protect and just slip gently into a kind of relaxed state. I usually see a lot of color and faces mainly smiling some sad and landscapes. White buildings, hot white sand and shimmering sun. The last couple of times I have done this I have found floating above the ground. Lying on my back and aware that I am surrounded by a circle of people. They are dressed in white robes and it is as if I am being suspended by their energy. They each hold crystals in their hand and as I am lowered down I am lying upon a crystal alter or dais of some kind. I hear them talking among themselves. Is she ready, this area needs activating. I have a band on my wrist and feel something on my forehead. Then this incredible bright light fills

Trust
2007-07-29 19:05:26
By: {Karen} "My first earliest memory is of a large hand holding mine". This is something my son wrote for an essay he had been asked to do for an English assignment. It captivated me, in just a a few simple words he had encapsulated to me what symbolised trust. This child's first memory was of someone he loved holding his hand. To me when I think about God and his place in my life I think that analogy perfectly fits. We are the small children, and our faith helps us to simply trust!! When a little child puts out their hand to a loving parent it is with the innocant certainty that they will be taken care of and protected. How often in life have we experienced doubt and fear about the decisions we make and the things that we do. So afraid are we that we become immobilized and frozen. Real spiritual growth is stunted and we cannot move forward. It is part of our initiation I know to face these trials. But listen to how it sounds, frozen, imobilized.....it is the emotion of fear th

Can You See Gods Love
2007-07-29 19:03:37
By: {Khalil} Can you see God's beauty, Can you see His love shine, In everything around you, Just look at all the magnificent signs. It is in each individual snowflake, That drifts so gracefully to the ground. You can see His love so vividly, In each delicate flower petal found. You can see His love twinkle brightly, In the stars so strategically placed. You can see it in the brightness of the sun, As you feel its warmth caressing your face. You can see His love as the grass turns green, As the rains shower down from the sky, As the squirrels chase each other up a tree, As the birds so gracefully fly. You can see His love in a mother and child, As they share a loving embrace. But it is easiest to see His undying love, When you gaze across another’s face. Peace and blessings Khalil

Dads Last Words Written

By: {silverpotter} Dear Father, God in heaven, Sunday when the pastor asked "Why should God allow you to live?" it was probably one of the most thought-provoking questions I have ever heard. As I thought about it, I realized I had many reasons why i wanted to live. #1 is is an overwhelming desire to share the goodness you have sown me with anybody and everybody I cross paths with, knowing that you are not a respecter of persons. Your goodness and greatness is available to anyone who accepts what you have done for us. The English language doesnt even begin to express how i feel. I"m so grateful and thankfulfor the babtism of the holy spirit where i can pray in a heavenly language to express my inner feelings. Because of my overwhelming gratitude for what you have done for me I would hate to have anybody miss out, no matter who they are or what they have done. Your unconditional love is totally ovewhelming. It's such a privelege and honor to be a friend of yours. I love you so much, Je

Forces Within
2007-08-03 21:01:11
Take my hand child of light where we might find your life this night take no deterrent, let no one push aside your purpose, sure footed be your way..let your path grow before you let your steps find their way..before you have walked this way, before you have tread this path, let no one push you under. I sometimes have these thoughts that seem to come from no where, a thought the overwhelming desire to write things down. Forces within us that we have no idea where they come from, or what we are capable of. We are limitless our abilities are boundless. Can we for tell things that have been or are to come. I don't know my logical mind says no, but there is a strangeness about my mind sometimes, that makes me think yes..a inner knowing. This cycle of life repeated or not..dimensional, who knows. I am the night I am the day I am the earth beneath your lay..before you lies eternity behind you lies eternity..who am I, I cannot say!! Love and light Kaz

Work With Love
2007-08-03 20:58:35
Hi Everyone. After the chat the other day in the chatroom, about the tv show Most Haunted. Im still appauled in the way that they portray mediumship. I have been working with spirit since I was a young teenager and although I was scared with their presence this was not because I had encounterd bad or evil spirits but simply because I was not educated. And this resulted in fear, now many years later I can honestly say that with every single spiritual experience that I have had I have never had anything bad come through. I feel that if we work with pure love at the highest possible frequency then that is what we will attract, however if we are working with fear or lower intentions then this will attract the lower spirits. I just wish that Most Haunted would either be totaly banned or change the way in which they behave on the show. Eg, the swearing! It's awful, im very offended by the way in which these people swear at the spirits, no wonder they get hacked off, wouldnt you? So all im

Listening
2007-08-03 20:49:12
By {Karen} I don't know if anyone has noticed, but I'm pretty chatty.. my personality could be described as being gregarious and outgoing. So you could safely say, I don't have any problems talking.. But listening, this is another story. I am an adviser and pride myself on having a good listening ear. Able to read between the lines and pick up nuances in the voice that will guide me direct me to ask the right questions to help draw someone out. I would love to develop this faculty to the extent that I able to listen to myself.....or my own inner voice. That, still quiet place that I occasionally find, so that I can listen to the voice of God. We are our own best friends, our own counselor's and guides, mentor's, its all there within ourselves isn't i!! Pearls of wisdom often drop out of the mouths of people in places where we would not expect it. I often wonder, if for a moment, their godliness raises its consciousness and these words are not simply their own thoughts, but

Spiritual Photographs
2007-08-05 14:40:53
By: {Karen} While I was at the library yesterday, killing some time, I found a book about spiritual photograph's. The pictures blew me away I'd never seen anything like it. I think a lot of the photograph's were the turn of the century. These pictures, were of mediums emitting ectoplasm!! I know some of the pictures could have been faked, but if they were it was really cleverly done. I was just amazed. Do any of our members have any pictures like this, well ok, you don't have to have ectoplasm..although it would be great if you did..lol but any pictures that have interesting orbs on or faces or anything that is worth having a peek at. I know Kim had a really interesting picture on her profile the other day. I wonder if we can post pictures on the boards..can we Leon?? Love and light Kaz

Food Wonderful Food
2007-08-05 14:39:26
By: {Timmy} Hi Everyone, It has been a lovely weekend here in London for a change - yesterday a friend took me to Borough Market which is a wonderful food market near London Bridge. There were hundreds of stalls selling the most eye-catching fruits and vegetables, freshly baked breads, fresh coffee beans and tea leaves from far away places and about everything else you can imagine including seafood, meats and other organic, home grown products. The stallholders were all cheerful and it was great to meet the producers themselves as they had a great passion and a knowledge about their products which they were only too happy to share. It was a great way to have some human contact and select some delicious foods to eat during the week. I came away with some green tomatoes (think I will fry them up a la the book/move "Fried Green Tomatoes"), freshly ground coffee from El Salvador, a jar of German sauerkraut, a slab of Stilton, a pint of butter milk and a deliciously spiced Arabian di

Went To A Spirtualist Church Yesterday
2007-08-05 14:37:52
By: {Timmy} It was my first time! Tucked on a quiet, leafy street very close to my flat, I found the Battersea Spiritualist Church . I had no idea what to expect, so Leon kindly advised me. So I went along yesterday to see if I could find some comfort, reassurance and inspiration in my time of trouble (nursing a broken heart and not knowing where my life is going). The main reason I went was to see the medium, there were only about six other people there so we all got messages. Mine was not from someone I recognised, but they gave me evidence and advice which I needed to hear. Am going to go back again. I felt a bit uncomfortable singing the hymns because I haven't sung hymns since primary school and I was not brought up in the church - but it was OK and I did my best Have any of you been to a Spiritualist Church? What did you think of it?

The Power Of Love
2007-08-05 14:31:31
The power of love to elevate, conquer and transform has been lauded in the literature of every major religion. It is, too, the fire which supplies the energy and light for contemplation seeking knowledge of God or Reality. "For he who fights with love will win the battle, " says the Tao To Ching, 67. He who defends with love will be secure. Heaven will save him and protect him with love". Love as a meditation involves emptying the mind of all content except loving, which acts as a purificatory flame. St John of the Cross said," that love sets the soul on fire and destroys all in it that is not love." Abu 'Abd Allah al-Quarashi, a Sufi, put it "Love means giving all you have to Him who you love, so that nothing remains to you of your own' Here we have yet another way of stripping the ego of its skins!! In my desire to rid myself of negativity I have been meditating on the purity of love, these are extracts taken from a book I have on Meditation by James Hewitt. The following poem

Dance
2007-08-05 14:30:04
By: {Timmy} While watching the BBC news programme this morning, I saw footage of the ballet dancer Carlos Acosta, a Cuban. He is amazing - seemingly defying the laws of gravity as he jumps into the air. It reminded me of the time I watched a programme about Rudolf Nureyev, who was just magical as he floated for a split second in the air before landing like a feather on the stage. I really admire dancers for their skill and passion. What a wonderful way to use one's body to express oneself! I hope you all manage to enjoy the beauty of your own dance - even if it means dancing around your living room while doing the housework!

Healing Power Of Milk
2007-08-04 15:25:50
By: {Timmy} Does anyone know whether milk has any healing powers?? Strange question, I know, but recently I have felt drawn to drinking a lot of the stuff and leaving some next to my bed in a glass, while I sleep. You see, a couple of weeks ago I developed a bladder infection which became quite bad very quickly. One night, I unintentionally had a glass of milk next to my bed and was so surprised that in the morning my symptoms had virtually disappeared! It also seems to help me have a more restful sleep. Maybe this is codswallop (sic) but I just have a feeling and had to ask... xx

The Ascension Process
2007-08-04 15:15:36
By: {Timmy} Greetings from London! I have been following Karen Bishop's Energy Alerts on the website 'What's Up On Planet Earth'. As we know, July 2007 is a very powerful month and a lot of changes are taking place - "purging, releasing and realigning". Is this why so many relationships are coming to an end? Because they no longer serve our highest good? Karen says we need to really let go now and just be - take a break and pamper ourselves. She says we may have been feeling a great resistance to our old duties and ways, not wanting to have to do anything. Is this why I felt a need to give up my career a year ago? I felt that I could no longer function in the 'corporate world' as I could no longer stomach the huge egos and greed that I came across?! Have any of you been going through the same thing? How are you dealing with it? xx

Passion For Life
2007-08-04 15:09:28
I have spent the last couple of years of my life simply treading water...not living just existing..the only distraction being my desire to grow. I'd lost my enthusiasm, my focus, my fire, my passion. Now, I have found it again, its like having a light switched back on, and the Grey mist has been lifted. I have regained my enthusiasm for life and my hunger to learn and to grow. I have changed so much and learned so much, so I know this descent into the darkness was meant to be, but there were times that I thought that I'd never find my way back up. Feelings numbed from bereavement and hurt. It was as if life was a play and I was a spectator, only observing, not being part of it. I had removed myself and only allowed myself to feel..ripples..on the outside. Now, I feel again, found something in myself that has fired me up, my senses back to life. I love to feel the rain on my face, to feel the wind in my hair, to paddle in the sea, and to feel the grass squishing between my toes. T

Attachments
2007-08-04 14:55:23
By: {Karen} We often resist change because of the emotional attachment we have in a person or situation. Its natural that we wish to stay with what we feel is right for us. But sometimes we have to let go and move on to find out where our place is and what it is that we are meant to do next. I know that our lives are made up of phases or periods of either physical or spiritual growth. We exhaust the resources that are presented to ourselves and then have to look for and find somewhere else to grow and change. I am one of these sad people who when they find themselves settled in and surrounded by the richness. oasis of spirituality and love, that it is so much easier to stay and feel safe and protected in that rarefied atmosphere. But as with all things change will come to pass, whether we accept it gracefully or it is forced upon us. Silvia and Leon have both said, that pain only occurs when we resist something. Change will happen, and with this acceptance and hopefully the pain wil
