Work at Home and Home Based Business Tips
2007-07-13 15:51:06
Quite a few of our members at Code4Gold Forums are Work at Home Moms (or Dads) and even though there are many businesses who offer opportunities for this ever increasing demographic, there are rampant scams and ripoffs just waiting to con these honest people out of their hard earned money. As the admin of the forum, I am occasionally asked by one of my members to check out an opportunity and give my opinion on it’s legitimacy, and if it would be worth the time and effort for the member to get involved in a particular program. In an effort to culminate some of the tips I’ve given along the way, in one easy to find place, I’ll share with the readers here some of the things to be wary of when even thinking about participating in any of these Work at Home opportunities. Here is my basic checklist for anybody seeking advice on how to judge if an opportunity is right for you. Checklist for Work at Home Business Due Diligence #1) First and foremost, if it seems too good to b

Liberty Reserve Reviewed

About Liberty Reserve Liberty Reserve is a digital currency and online payment system with similarity to Paypal, E-Gold, Pecunix, E-Bullion and other E-Currency services. You can send or receive money to or from anyone in the world and unlike Paypal, Liberty Reserve payments are 100% irrevocable, meaning once a payment is sent there is no repudiation policy. Contrary information sources such as Wikipedia and About.com, Liberty Reserve is incorporated in Costa Rica, not Panama. Their servers are operating in Holland, which is good for a digital currency to have their servers operating outside of the United States. It is unclear where Liberty Reserve’s actual offices of operation are located which is a definite negative for any company wishing to process large business to business transactions. It is also unclear if they hold any licenses to conduct transactions with US citizens or if that is necessary for a Costa Rican based corporation. Funding a Liberty Reserve Account As with

SEC Takes Action Against CEP Holdings
2007-07-11 14:34:43
Most of the readers of this blog will not be suprised to hear that the SEC (Securities Exchange Commission) has filed formal charges againt CEP Holdings , Inc. dba ColonEndParenthesis.net as well as the principals Trevor Reed, Clayton Kimbrell. The charges were filed on July 9, 2007 in the North Carolina Eastern District Court under the presiding judge, the Honorable Terrence W. Boyle. CEP has been charged under statute 12:22 - Securities Fraud. Well, we’re not exactly talking Worldcom, Enron or Tyco here, however it is my belief from my previous cases filed by the SEC that CEPTrust Holdings and their partner sites: CEPTrust.com, ColonEndParenthesis.com, CEPCoast.com, Coastin88.com, DesertSjyMarketing.com, 4NewbiesMarketing.com, and Jack Cobb’s programs which accepted CEPTrust as a payment processor will also come under future indictments from the Department of Justice for money laundering and possibly charges of operating pyramid or ponzi schemes. Many of you CEPTrust accou

Proof the Allegations Against E-Gold are True
2007-07-10 02:46:56
* Please note, this post is meant as humour and not intended to be taken seriously The reporting team at Code4Gold has recently uncovered factual photo evidence that the charges the DOJ has brought against E-Gold founders are true. Here’s the photo evidence…. This candid photo that proves once and for all that E-Gold was definitely used by terrorists to buy pornography…. This intriguing shot was found courtesy of IntelCenter And most convincingly, this still from CNN (The Children’s Nonsense Network)…. So there you go. Photo’s never lie, just like government officials. :-/

Fraud Alert - The CyberSpaceATM (Illegal and Unlicensed Money Transmitter)
2007-07-05 16:43:26
Be warned about using the unlicensed money transmitter CSATM (thecyberspaceatm.com) and any ponzi sites accepting this processor. The first reason, there is absolutely *NO* contact detail given anywhere on the website or in the whois information. No address, no phone number, no nothing but an email address (which is worth squat when the site goes down and the operator is laughing at all the fools who trusted him with their money). Use your God given brain and realize E-Gold, Paypal, Webmoney, Alert pay, Pecunix, E-Bullion, etc (even the lowlifes at CEPTrust) all have their real contact address and phone numbers on the site as well as in their whois information. Second, CSATM is owned and operated by Andy, the scammer behind XLO autosurf (http://www.xlentopps.net) and The Finer Things (http://xlentxtra.com) who cheated members out of hundreds of thousands of dollars, and then sold XLO for $25,000 to master scammer Bob Krimm who shelved the program. Andy’s sole purpose in opening CS

Webmoney E-Currency Review
2007-06-27 00:13:30
About Webmoney Webmoney is an electronic money and online payment system with similarity to Paypal, E-Gold, Pecunix, E-Bullion and other E-Currency services. It provides a fast and somewhat anonymous payment system however the registration process requires email verification and account holders are encouraged to verify themselves further through sending an SMS message from their cellphone making it more strict than E-Gold for opening and using an account. WM verification gives the following advantages: private key file retrieval if you have lost control over your WMID; complaint to the Arbitration service; credit activities; access to online services, Internet exchanges, information resources requiring personal client identification. Verified users can issue trust certificates to other users and take fees for the service. Any user can become a verified Register. Verified Registers can verify other WebMoney users. Transactions are conducted through the WMTransfer software which comes i

This was posted on ASA forum on Jun 21 2007, 02:56 AM by 15HitsDaily-Admin aka Bob Krimm… I missed it initially because I was on vacation in Ft. Lauderdale for my birthday from the 21st until the 24th… Lets address this on a different level shall we? First of all, I know that all of you are used to scammers and thieves, I understand this! This is the reason I started 15hitsdaily in the first place. I too lost money in the auto surf world and just as you got sick and tired of being scammed. I know no matter what I say people will think I’m a scammer. But I will be presenting all the evidence of fraud and thievery to you on my new site http://watchbobkrimm.com very soon. We are still going through accounts and putting together files on all members. As well as files on the cheaters and scammers so we can pursue criminal charges against those who have stolen funds from us. This would include our dear friend Gerry Simoni. Agloco Toolbar Review
2007-06-13 14:39:12
The much anticipated and highly awaited Agloco Toolbar has finally been made pubic for download. Granted that it is only 6 months behind schedule, I must say that there is a sense of shock in the Agloco community as to what the “big boys” have been up to all this time. —— begin time machine quantuum leap —— I worked for a company in the 1990’s who was pioneering a high level client/server application to compete with the infamous Bloomberg Terminal in the arena of data dissemintion. The company was one of 11 US Firms to hold a contract with the SEC to do a manual data dump of all SEC filings into our databases for processing. We were working with DEC Unix running on GS140 Supercomputers, Oracle 7 Database for the backend server with an MFC (Windows) client application on the frontend. I really liked working for that company because it had an intensive core group of well salaried renegade softwre developers. We had all come from a Unix background

E-Gold Exchanger - Exchange Pecunix, Exchange Webmoney, Exchange Liberty Reserve
2007-05-29 15:56:20
I just found this exchanger that does instant exchangers between the various e-currencies. You can exchange between E-Gold, Pecunix, Webmoney and Liberty Reserve and the exchanges are instant. Exchange E-gold to Webmoney, Pecunix or Liberty Reserve There are no guarantees how long this will last, and I’ve been exchanging small amounts at a time ($20-$30), so proceed with caution, but I do have to say I successfully exchanged E-gold for Pecunix, Liberty Reserve and Webmoney through them today. This is particularly handy for people like me who have the GoldEx debit card and can’t send E-Gold to their cards right now. GoldEx accepts Webmoney and Pecunix, so it’s a safe bet with the current E-gold situation to stock up on both of those e-currencies. Again, please use any of these services with caution, and I wouldn’t recommend exchanging everything at once, do it in small batches. Also, for English speaking people, to signup for Webmoney use the Webmoney English Sit

2007-07-14 21:53:42
I received this email from the admins for GPTForum this morning… Dear Code4Gold, We are glad to inform you about some updates made at GPTForum.net First of all, as you might have noticed, the forum have changed domain name; however, almost everything has been preserved. What has not been preserved are the HYIP and autosurf folders. GPTForum.net is now a forum all related to the Get Paid To world, with no other involvments on the HYIP, ponzies, or these kind of programs/activities. We are also no longer affiliated with the previous owner in any way. We look forward to add new cool features on GPTForum.net to “bring it back to life”. We will probably need for more moderators as well, so please stay tuned should you want to help us! We also thought that it would have been cool to add a feature to entertain you, before/after doing your GPT stuff, that is why we have added an Arcade with some games and many more to come! You can find the Arcade here: http://www.gptforum

Forex Trading Scams
2007-07-18 19:59:08
The Forex market is one of the largest worldwide trading markets and is one of the most popular for scammers to exploit innocent and niave victims. Combined with the anonymity of the internet, many con artists and criminals have found it easy to steal large sums of money from investors using the guise of Forex trading as a sales pitch for a scam or ponzi scheme. In an effort to enlighten anybody who stumbles across this blog, I’m going to give some basics on preventing yourself from being a victim of fraud by way of Forex Trading . What is Forex Trading ? Forex is the act of trading of foreign currencies. Much as on the stock market, an investor will buy and sell a stock to make a profit or cut a loss, the Foreign Exchange (or FX market) is similar except you are not trading stocks, you are trading actual foreign currency. Various economic conditions create a leverage value between currencies of various countries allowing Forex traders to buy and sell currencies and make a profit.

Faulty Slot Machine Gives up a Half Million Dollars
2007-07-20 17:06:10
Normally when you think about casino crybabies, you think of the stupid people who are conned out of their hard earned cash by the flickering lights of the slot machines, but this time it’s Caesars Casino that’s the one weeping and wailing like little babies who have had their bottle taken away. A faulty slot machine at Caesars Indiana credited gamblers $10 for each dollar they spent because the software wasn’t designed for US Currency, and more than two dozen people who played the machine before one gambler alerted the casino walked away with almost half a million dollars. Caesars claims to have lost $487,000 on the machine during that time and they’re pushing prosecutors to consider criminal charges against the casino gamblers who won big on that particular slot machine. The irony of it all is that if a slot machine jams or malfunctions and casino patrons lose money, they are expected to just walk away, but when the shoe is on the other foot the casino is beha

DOW Closes over 14K While Google Stock Gets Hammered
2007-07-19 18:30:33
As the Dow Jones Industrials moved to it’s first close past the record breaking 14,000 mark, search engine giant Google (GOOG) stock dropped more than 7% in late trading Thursday from an opening $548.89 to $509.01, and the stock is still going down in after hours trading. Google missed the average analyst estimate, polled by Thomson Financial, of $3.59 per share and a spokesperson for the internet giant stated if it were not for costs associated with employee stock compensation, Google would have earned $3.56 per share. Other sources cite Google Chairman Eric Schmidt as stating the missed earnings were due to over-hiring new employees and costs associated with infastructure. Regardless of the symptoms, the recent sell-off amongst investors is shocking the market makers that Google has so easily pleased with steady growth quarter to quarter. This year’s second quarter was the only time that Google’s year-over-year profit hasn’t grown by at least 60 percent since

C-Gold : New Gold Based E-Currency or Hoax ?
2007-07-21 06:20:12
I’d recently been made aware of a new E-Gold clone called C-Gold. The website is a dead ringer ripoff of E-Gold’s website, right down to the copy and pasted text. The owners of C-Gold claim that their payment processor is backed by gold, much as E-Gold or Pecunix are. That’s not in dispute because they actually have provided a tiny bit of transparency in allowing users to see where and how much bullion they have in storage. They have also openly stated the business is located outside of the United States in the Republic of the Seychelles with their main headquarters located in Penang, Malaysia. Both details do check out and the servers are not located inside the United States as well. The thing that has me the most worried about C-Gold is that one of their operatives, a person who uses the name “Robert” has been a busy little beaver making posts such as the one below at TalkGold fourms which is a well known haven for scammers and run by scammers who are be

AlertPay CEO Blasts E-Gold
2007-07-24 18:18:37
In a recent interview on NoBS Hyip Blog 1, Alertpay CEO Firoz Patel blasted the founders of E-Gold. Do you have any views on the recent Egold indictment case? Yes actually. Egold brought this upon themselves. With their lax rules and controls, their system was being used for all kinds of fraud and money laundering. I think that Egold should be split up into 2 entities. One for the issuance of Egold as ecurrency and the other to control the transfers and transactions. If they cannot do that, then there is no point in having Egold anymore. The rules on the international marketplace are changing greatly. There needs to be controls in place to stop thieves and criminals from using these services. Also there must be controls in place for thieves to be frozen or punished when a complaint is given to Egold. Since they don’t care about what happens with the Egold, some legitimate people get fraud monies, but many illegitimate merchants are able to get away with murder (figure of speech). W

GoldEx Review
2007-07-27 16:16:05
Once in a while you find a service that’s just so good you just have to tell everybody about it. For me, that would happen to be GoldEx. GoldEx is a full service eCurrency exchanger that also offers a reloadable debit card. They work with E-gold, Webmoney, Pecunix, V-Money and used to deal with E-Bullion but after a recent threat by E-Bullion to confiscate GoldEx’s funds, they have suspended services to and from that processor. GoldEx is the first fully 128 bit SSL secured PGP encrypted internet based transaction website for the purchase of e-gold and other internet currencies within 12 to 24 hours. They are definitely the fastest and most reliable exchanger I’ve dealt with outside of the now defunct Omnipay. I am personlly a GoldEx debit card holder and I’ve never waited more than 24 hours for my card to be loaded regardless of the eCurrency used to load the card. The same can be said for my experiences doing echanges through GoldEx. Their support is the best

Dow Jones Down Over 300 Points
2007-07-26 16:51:21
A week ago we saw the Dow Jones close at it’s record high over 14,000 and many analysts hearlded the beginning of a new Bull Market. Today, Wall street was stunned by a selloff that caused the market to plunge back even further below last weeks highs and has analysts talking about the possible emergence of a bear+Market. The Dow Jones industrials closed down more than 310 points after earlier dropping nearly 450 points today marking one of Wall Street’s biggest losses of 2007. Fueling the downward spiral were concerns that higher corporate borrowing costs will stifle the rapid pace of takeovers that had driven stocks higher throughout this year. Investors also felt the bite from sluggish home sales and a continuing rise in the number of subprime loans that went into default in recent months. The Commerce Department released yet another disappointing report on home sales and corporate borrowers feeling the eniornment not suitable decided to sell off to ease the discomfort c

Webmoney Goes Gold
2007-07-26 13:11:56
Webmoney has recently announced a new “Gold Based” currency added to their existing payment processor system. The new “purse” is a gold based currency and functions as a bridge between Webmoney’s operations as a payment processor, money transmitter and now a digital gold currency (DGC). From the news on their site… On the 20 July 2007 WebMoney Transfer System has launched a new type of purse - WMG or WebMoney Gold. This is an approved way of internet payments that has won international popularity. Funds on these purses are backed by gold bullions of 995 standard (purity of 99.5 %). UAE company WM Metals FZE acts as a Guarantor for WMGold. In this case system’s Guarantor (on the agreement with a certified company-storage) also provides gold bullions safety. WebMoney Gold purchase can be made directly by a bank wire using services of metdeal.com site or by WebMoney exchanger wm.exchanger.ru and very soon it will be possible to buy gold via authori

MoneyMakerGroup
2007-07-30 02:12:54
I’m sure most of the readers of this blog are familiar with MoneyMakerGroup.com forums and their slack mods who ignore obvious scams hoping to get some advertising dollars from them. Speak out against a scam, or a repeat scammer on MMG and you can guarantee the owners Jason and Jacob (who are mid-20’s video gam playing kids with no clue) will give you a warning or ban you from their forums. Freedom of Speech is non-existent at MMG, all they care about is if you are using light profanity or “personal attacks”, but in my humble opinion, people who are victims of fraud perpetrated by the denizens who inhabit this scammer heaven have every right to speak out against the people who have ripped them off. In the past, numerous MMG mods have vacated their positions at MMG to launch their own ponzi schemes, including but not limitied to ex-mod “TheMobileHookup” who launched a ponzi based payment processor and their newest departing mod, xxRealNinjaxx (real na

Jonathan Mikula and PhoenixSurf Charged by SEC for Fraud

Remember Johnathan Mikula and his NME Global group who operated the ponzi scheme autosurf program Phoenixsurf last year? Well, it’s taken a long time for it to happen but on July 24th 2007, formal charges were issued by the SEC against Jonathan Mikula and Gabriel Frankewich. The information from the SEC’s website is reprinted below. SEC Charges Operators of Phoenixsurf.com Web Site With Conducting a Massive Internet Ponzi Scheme FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 2007-141 Washington, D.C., July 24, 2007 - The Securities and Exchange Commission today filed securities fraud charges against the operators of an Internet-based Ponzi scheme that raised $41.9 million in just four months from more than 20,000 investors worldwide. The Commission’s action, filed in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, alleges that from Feb. 22, 2006, through May 21, 2006, four defendants operated a Web site — Phoenixsurf.com — that offered investors a 120% return in just eight days on investments ran

Yahoo Phishing Scheme
2007-07-28 17:57:22
We just received this ridiculous phishing scheme email that appeared to originate from Yahoo and requests the recipient to send their information so a representative can call them to claim the prize. Wow, a prize of £500,000.00 would be approximately $1,014,497.16 USD at the current conversion rate of 1 GBP = 2.02899 USD. that seems like quite a lot of money to win from Yahoo. However, one look at the contents tells you that this is nothing but another phishing scheme designed to scam unsuspecting internet users. We’ve actually been receiveing quite a few of these lottery type phishing email of recent and I’ve seen two different news stories on people who’ve fallen for these scheme. Apple Shares Rebound Amidst iPhone Woes
2007-08-02 00:28:15
Computer giant APPLE INC (NasdaqGS:AAPL) saw a gain of 3.24 points (2.46%) today, closing at 135 per share which was a relief for worried Apple shareholders. Apple stock took a beating on Tuesday as a result of an unconfirmed rumor that the company is cutting back on the production of it’s iPhone multi-function handheld devices. Apple’s stock dropped a whopping 6.8% to 131.76 on Tuesday after the iPhone cutback information was reported by the New York trading firm Miller Tabak & Co. 1 who also speculated that Apple might also be cutting back on production of their popular iPod devices as well. Tuesday’s losses marked the largest single day percentage drop in Apple shares since April 2005, although Apple shares have been steadily on the rise with a 52 week range of 62.58 - 148.92 and an average trading volume of 36,507,700. Apple’s P/E Ratio (Price-Earnings Ratio) of 38.12 is relatively on par for a technology company 2 in the Personal Computers sector. I per

HostGator Sucks - Fraudulent Billing
2007-08-07 21:44:52
All webmasters should beware of ever hosting a website with Boca Raton, Florida based Hostgator… HostGator is the worst hosting company ever run by a bunch of snotty Boca brats who could care less about the fact they’re going to be staring down multiple lawsuits for fraudulent billing practices. There is also a building community of people who have expressed disgust with HostGator’s affiliate program and accusations that the company has been cheating affiliates and resellers of profits. In my case, it’s their fraudulent billing practices (ie: billing customers after *HostGator* has cancelled an account) that has me on the soapbox today. My saga with them began when they took down one of my websites I had hosted with them back in November 2006 without notice because they claimed my site used 11% of the CPU. The support department told me they would send me a .tar file of my site and a mysql export within one week which I told them was unacceptable because

Fake Name Generator - The Secret is Out

I’ve finally figured out where all the scammers go to create those fake names you see in their whois domain registration details. Here’s a site that will generate fake name and address in a variety of countries, languages and in male or female gender (great for all those cross dressing scammers like Jack Cobb and Lee Smith). Suprise America - Karl Rove has Resigned
2007-08-14 00:21:53
Now is it any wonder amidst the volatile stock market, excessive scandals involving the current administration, the conviction and pardoning of Scooter Libby that Republican spin doctor and strategist Karl Rove has followed Donald Rumsfeld into the ranks of Bush defectors. Karl “the architect” and “boy genius” Rove announced his resignation today to an apathetic United States who are more concerned with their plummeting 401K’s, the trouble brewing in the Middle East and the importing of tainted goods from China. There was no fanfare, there was no big celebration, there was just one man who was quietly trying to slink off into obscurity and out of the public eye that had already grown tired of the continual controversies and scandals surrounding Rove that he managed to squirm out of due to his close friendship with the administrations leaders. While the infamous gangster John Gotti was known as “The Teflon Don”, Rove could equally be tagged as &

Gold Futures - Present and Past
2007-08-20 19:27:42
The sharp decline in the US Stock Market and the steep drop in oil prices last week seem to have impacted the price of gold futures and silver futures with both precious metals closing modestly down once again on Monday. The gold market’s retreat extends the losses that occurred last week with many gold traders reluctant to take long term positions for fear of a wave of panic selling if there is additional bad news regarding the subprime lending market and or from the hegde fund market. The weakness in oil prices more than likely contributed to gold’s slight decline and the silver market following suit. Conversely, the platinum and palladium futures markets have been gaining ground while the other precious metals drop indicating a possible shift amongst larger portfolio holders from less to more precious metals. Mark O’Byrne, director of Gold & Silver Investments Ltd. stated in emailed comments “Given the clear and present danger in the global financial syst

There’s Gold in Them Thar Hills!
2007-08-21 22:00:42
History Lesson Today we’ll go back a little further in history than yesterday’s post and look at the history of Gold in the United States. Let’s go back to 1849 and discovery of Gold in California which led to the Gold Rush. By 1856 the United States government had acquired 174 million acres of Native American lands through 52 treaties all of which were subsequently broken by US Government in their lustful pursuit of the precious metal. Along the way, countless Native Americans fell victim to numerous smallpox epidemics that decimated the western tribes. Though it is fact or fiction, there has been much debate over the US Government giving smallpox infected blankets to the Native American tribes which allowed US Department of Indian Affairs Act to redefine the Indian Territory and granted the US Army the right to quarantine Native Americans infected with the disease, essentially putting them into death camps. By 1863 the Bozeman Trail is blazed to gold mines in Montan

GDCA Warning Against E-Bullion Breeds Strange Bedfellows
2007-08-27 21:16:05
Perhaps you’ve been to a website that displayed the GDCA accreditation logo pictured here at the the left. The GDCA accredited logo, which is meant to assure consumers that the site they are doing business with has been issued this logo because of satisfactory business practices. Although the issuer of these accreditation logos has no ties to any world governmental agencies. They have no “official” status in the financial community, the gold markets or any other affiliation of merit to lend validity to these accreditation logos they distribute except their own “self-proclaimed” authority. Many of you may also be familiar with the organization known as GDCA aka Gold Digital Currrency Association (http://www.gdcaonline.org) and the fact that they have recently issued a warning to E-Bullion users in July 2007, calling upon E-Bullion customers to abandon the processor in lieu of allegations that E-Bullion has frozen accounts .
