If we compile a kernel, we can customize it so it can match with our need. Like if we need a kernel that support SKAS3 for have fun with UML .Here's step by step to make your own kernel image :You must download a kernel source. You can download it from here. Enable Sound in Iceweasel 2007-07-07 04:02:00 Debian users should know that Firefox package in Debian has changed its name to Iceweasel. There is no big difference between Iceweasel and Firefox. FYI, Iceweasel was created for free Firefox's Addons. So, non-free addons cannot installed.Unlike Firefox, by default Iceweasel cannot play sound. At first, i hink this is a bug. But after some research on internet, i found that we can play sound to in Iceweasel. I just open file /etc/iceweasel/iceweaselrc (the file may be located in different folder in other distribution) and change option ICEWEASEL_DSP=aoss.Before you restart your Iceweasel, make sure that package alsa-oss has been installed in your system. . The only thing i know about that virus that it infects your root directory in each drive in your computer. It creates files named same as folders that exist in that directory with extension.scr. It also hidden those folder so we thought that those folders has been missing. After all this virus not so destructive, but it's very annoying. The most annoying part is Symantec, antivirus which used by my computer hasn't detect it as a virus. So how do i remove it and restore my computer back to its original state?Luckily i have a computer that running linux. I can manually deletes the .scr file, Autorun.inf, thumbs.com, and thumbs.[space 3x]db. After that i think it's finished. But, there's other thing that still bugging me. Menu in windows. In KDE they called it KMenu. It has same function as Start menu, for displaying almost all of applications in that computer. Big difference between KMenu and Start Menu of course its interface. By default KMenu's size is bigger than Start Menu. For some people like me who want wide view form their desktop, that size of KMenu maybe not their style.Actually you can increase and decrease the size of KPanel (panel where KMenu docked). Of course it can make your desktop look wider. For some people this solve their problem. But if you want another look, you can try KBFX. Its function is same as KMenu.
