Coming off the best statistical season of his career in 2006, Bulger is entering the final year of the four-year, $19.1 million contract he signed in 2004 and is scheduled to earn a $3.95 million base salary in 2007. Without an extension, he could be eligible for unrestricted free agency next spring, although the Rams might opt to designate him a franchise player to limit his mobility in the market. Despite all the contract talks, I expect Bulger to have another great year. He’s in the prime of his career and has developed into one of the better passers in the NFL. He is surrounded by excellent wide receivers and one of the best running backs in the game, not to mention some pretty good tight ends. I currently have him ranked as the 5th among QBs.

It might be alittle too early to tag him as injury prone but he’s got coaches wondering if he’s going to be able to hold up. Marshall caught 20 passes for 309 yards and two touchdowns last season as a rookie after recovering from a knee injury he suffered in a preseason game against Detroit. He is one of the best up and coming receivers with Boldin like abilites. He’s well under the radar, falling as low as the 12th round in mock drafts. Its hard to believe that he’s only 3 years removed from a career high 4700 passing yards and 39 touchdowns. When healthy, he’s been an elite quarterback with a rocket arm and scrambling ability. However, he’s not been the same ever since his knee injury. He went for surgery again in 2006 after attempting to play early in the season. He’s an average quarterback if you take away his scrambling ability. He has thrown 8 TD’s against 15 INTs the past two seasons. This year Culpepper is nothing more than a backup QB and isn’t worth an early roster spot on your fantasy team.
