Harry Invades Westminster Tube 2006-10-23 09:07:00 The Westminster
Tube Station was closed yesterday in order for a one day Order of the Phoenix shoot. It is speculated that the scene in question is that of Harry

Don't cry for me Hogwarts! 2006-10-23 03:01:00 Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is scheduled to appear in the Tony award winning play Equus next summer. "Part of me wants to shake up people's perception of me, just shove me in a blender," said Radcliffe in an interview about moving from the screen to the stage. But the change is not only to change his Harry Potter image Radcliffe is also looking forward to broadening his acting horizons. "It's a really challenging play, and if I can pull it off - we don't know if I can yet - I hope people will stop and think, 'Maybe he can do something other than Harry," Well good luck to you Daniel and take the stage by storm! Thanks http://www.thewest.com/ Read more:Hogwarts
Fanfic of the Week 2006-10-22 20:03:00 I thought it was about time we featured a pairing we haven't before, which made me instantly think of Neville/Luna. Although I doubt it will happen in canon, I think they're both so cute and quirky that they'd make a perfect match. Nerdy Neville and Loony Luna...it just sounds right. Anyway, I can't say that I've read any fanfiction of them together, but I found a recommendation for this particular story from people who love this pairing, and it sounds like a gem.Post-Its by Sabelle.Summary:Luna and Neville don't see each other much during the day, so they use Post-It notes to talk to each other. What if Neville decides to act on impulse and write a note that could change both their lives?Give it a read and let us know what you think! And as always, if you have any recommendations for Harry Potter fanfics to be featured in the future, send us a message on Myspace or email us. Read more:Fanfic
Video of the Day 10/22/2006 2006-10-22 19:44:00 A few days ago I stumbled upon a masterpiece of a video that managed to make me teary-eyed! Brilliant editing and major creativity make for an amazing "movie" depicting Harry's path to the final showdown with Voldemort that will make you think, wow. You'll be completely enthralled, trust me. Here's a brief description of the video from the person who made it, and beware of spoilers:On the way to the final showdown with Voldemort, Harry reflects on the sacrifices he's made (Ginny) and on the events that have led him to this moment.. From learning of the prophecy and his destiny, through Malfoy's involvement and Dumbledore's death to the search for the Horcruxes.Link to watch.Video by fadetonoir
Newsweek Interviews Dan Radcliffe 2006-10-22 18:06:00 In a recent Newsweek
interview with our man, Dan Radcliffe
, he discusses Order of the Phoenix, what a great director David Yates has been, and yes, his love life! In regards to whether or not he'll still play Harry in the last two films, he had this to say:Will you make the last two films? If the script does justice to the book, it would be foolish not to do the sixth, because I think the book is so incredible and the part is so brilliant. [The seventh book has not been published yet.]I also assume it would be hard to walk away from Harry at this point.Yes. I've come this far. If I'd stopped after the third film, someone could have come in and there would have been time for the fans to get used to him. At this stage it would be a bit harder, certainly. You can find the rest of the web exclusive interview on the Newsweek site. Order of the Phoenix will be released in the US on July 13, 2007, and we can see him play our Gryffindor hero once again! Read more:Interviews

Wizard Rock Song of the Week 2006-10-21 17:00:00 Earlier this week, Megan, the co-blogmistress of the Chocolate Frog, gave me the link to the Myspace of a Wizard
Rocker brilliantly named "Hollow Godric". She was astounded by how emotionally beautiful his music was, so I had to give the tunes a listen. My reaction after I listened to a song titled "The Scar" was much the same as Megan's....astonishment. Hollow Godric has taken Wizarding Rock to a new level entirely. Our Wizard Rock
Song of the Week is "The Scar" by Hollow Godric.Hollow Godric consists of one man, Brandon Blair, who truly has a gift. The only words I can think of to describe his sound are emotional, sincere, beautiful, and otherworldly, though words don't do it justice. You'll just have to take listen for yourself. "The Scar" is probably my favorite song of his, just for the lyrics alone:I could dream each dream a million times lately every scream seems louder still I can fight him now when I'm awake but the battle rages on inside my bedDark the night the Dark one
Fanart of the Week 2006-10-21 16:31:00 This week I decided to go back in time a little bit to the Marauder era! Whilst searching, I stumbled upon this FANTASTIC art of the Maurauders in their animagus form! It is exactly how I pictured them in my head. The artist, whyamithewerewolf, has this to say about the drawing: The marauders guard Lupin who tears at himself in pain and rage. Click here to see the full, amazing picture! Read more:Fanart

Video of the Day 10/20/2006 2006-10-20 22:53:00 One of our readers, Laura, recommended this fantastic Ron/Hermione video set to a song called "Broken Wings" by Flyleaf. It's supposed to be a "film trailer" for Goblet of Fire...very well made! (I absolutely love the voice overs) I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. It's probably my favorite Ron/Hermione vid. Thanks for sending that in to us, Laura!Video by msbigbad
His Lips are Sealed 2006-10-20 10:06:00 The man that we all love to hate, Jason Isaacs, Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies, kept a tight lid on the Order of the Phoenix secrets. He had little to say to a London Paper Interviewer about the subject of Harry Potter during an interview for his new TV series "Brotherhood". He did have one piece of advice for curious fans dieing to see the movie, read the book! Isaacs believes that the movie will not vary much from that. Read more:Sealed

Bonham Carter

Video of the Day 10/28/2006 2006-10-28 22:00:00 We all know that Harry and Ron would pretty much be out of luck without Hermione around to help them! Professor Snape calls her an insufferable know-it-all, and yes, she may be a bit annoying sometimes with her desire to know everything, but she's one of the most loved characters in the Harry Potter universe. The books just wouldn't be the same without her, and Harry and Ron wouldn't have been able to get out of the sticky situations they've found themselves in over the years. So for today's video, I found one dedicated to the bushy-haired Miss Hermione Granger. Hope you enjoy! :)Link to watch.Video by Hermione93.
David Yates Says OotP Probably Over 3 Hours? 2006-10-28 21:47:00 Well, it may be over 3 hours now, but he'll have to take a lot out, unfortunately! According to the December issue of Empire magazine, director DavidYates
is quoted as saying this in regards to the length of the 5th Harry Potter film:"The book's huge, but it actually distills quite easily... That said, I've shot a movie that's probably over three hours, so I'll have to lose 45 minutes in the edit."We'll update with more information as soon as we get it.Source: The Leaky CauldronI personally would be very happy to watch a 3-hour film (Lord of the Rings, anyone?), but if they're going to take all of that out, can we at least get an extended version? Pretty please? Read more:Probably
