Marked for Death - Overkill!
2008-02-19 22:56:00
As far as the fight scenes go, Marked for Death is arguably Seagal's best film where Aikido is on display in full view. You'll see Seagal stab, shoot, throw, cut, and even decapitate the bad guys. In this scene, Seagal goes mano-a-mano with one of the Screwface twins. He first pushes his eyeballs back into his brain. Then Seagal snaps Screwface’s spine over his knee and throws him down an elevator shaft. I’m pretty sure he died.

The Untouchables - Baseball
2008-02-16 11:45:00
As Capone speaks, his lieutenants, sitting around the table smoking cigars, smile in agreement to what he is saying. "I get nowhere unless the team wins. Team! Team!"After the second lieutenant repeats,“team,” Capone, who has come up behind him with the baseball bat, starts whacking him repeatedly on the head, presumably for not being a team player. The scene ends with the lieutenant lying on the table, as blood from his head spreads out across the white table cloth. The best part is after the second wack, if you look closely, blood spurts on the table like a water fountain. Classic!

Commando - Tool Shed Scene
2008-02-14 19:06:00
In this scene from Commando , Arnold goes on a rampage with some tool shed items. First he drops down from the ceiling and stabs a guy with a pitch fork. He then throws some saw blades at one guy's head taking off his scalp, and one into another guy's chest. He then grabs the axe and a machete. He uppercuts a guy in the yarbles with an axe and uses the machete to chop another guys arm off. If you haven't seen Commmando, then you've missed quite the body count.Related Arnold KillsTotal Recall - Cohaagen PopsTotal Recall - See You at the Party Richter

We Were Soldiers - Napalm Drop

War is bad. Don't worry, I'm not gonna give an anti-war speech, this scene from We Were Soldiers should be good enough. Day of the Dead - Greatest Death by Zombie Ever
2008-02-11 17:50:00
I'm not quite sure how to say this, but I love zombies. I love anything related to zombies, in fact from now on I'm going to capitalize the word "Zombie" because I love them so much. I try to avoid posting the Zombie-eats-guy death scenes, because if it was up to me, the top 10 best movie deaths would all involve Zombies. But I can't contain myself any longer, which is why I'm posting my first Zombie movie death scene. In this clip from Day of the Dead, the malicious Capt. Rhodes flees from "Bub" who has aquired a handgun. Rhodes tries to escape through a door, but is ambushed by a group of zombies that tear him to pieces. But not before Bub shoots him. So let's recap: guy gets shot by Zombie, then gets eaten by a group of Zombies. Yeah, best Zombie death ever.

Final Destination 3 - Alternate Death Scenes?
2008-02-10 15:27:00
I hate it when the only special features on a DVD is the damn trailer. So, for extra feature freaks like me there's the Final Destination 3 DVD. The best part is the "choose your fate" option which brings up a new screen at key points, asking the viewer to make a choice for the character onscreen. Depending on that choice, the viewer will either see the event as shown in the theatrical version, or an alternate scene that could change the rest of the movie. The director, James Wong had this feature in mind as he was filming the movie, and he deliberately filmed different versions for each death scene. The first clip is the alternate version of Lewis' death without the suspense of "how is he gonna die." Isn't it funny how the blood always sprays all over the friends face? Is that a wr

Eraser - Alligator Rampage
2008-02-06 16:41:00
Eraser is what you expect from an Arnold Schwarzenegger film, two hours of mindless nonstop CGI action with preposterous situations, a body count in the dozens, and epic Arnold one-liners. My kind of movie. In this scene, Arnie shoots the Alligator tank in the middle of a shootout at the New York City Zoo. The Gators must have been pissed because they go on a rampage. Not Industrial Light & Magic's best work, but decent, I've seen worse. One guy gets his arm ripped off, another gets his head crushed by the Gators. After the appetizers, the gator goes after Arnie. After a short scuffle, he shoots the alligator through the head, and gives the classic line, "your luggage."Related Arnold One-Liner KillsTotal Recall - "See you at the Party Richter"

Starship Troopers - "They Sucked his Brains Out!"
2008-02-04 14:20:00
It's official, I am a Paul Verhoeven nuthugger, no homo. I don't know what it is, maybe it's the amount of extreme violence in his movies or the fact that he has directed two of my all-time favorite action films ever, Robocop and Total Recall. This guy was the first nominee ever to actually show up at the Razzie Awards, when he personally accepted his Worst Director "award" for Showgirls. Now that's class.Paul also directed the CGI movie death extravaganza Starship Troopers . In this scene, Zander(Patrick Muldoon) gives his last words to the brain bug before it stabs him in the head and sucks his brains out. Michael Ironside is also in this movie, in fact he gets his legs ripped off and in the film Total Recall(also directed by Verhoeven) both his arms get severed. Anybody else notice

Hostel II - Lost Manhood
2008-02-02 23:51:00
Now technically I'm not sure this counts as a death, but I'm sure he died a little bit on the inside. Our victim broke the cardinal rule: Never piss off a woman holding a pair of scissors to your manhood. I don't usually warn people about videos on this site, but I'm gonna have to for this one.

Jurassic Park - T-rex eats Lawyer

It's strange, Donald Gennaro was the only character to get eaten by the T-rex in Jurassic Park. The first big screen movie death by a computer generated dinosaur is a good one. Hellraiser 3: Hell on Earth - Skin Rip +++++plus New Hellraiser Remake Coming Out Soon
2008-01-27 15:25:00
Since I was a kid, I've loved horror movies. Non-stop I would watch one after the other, none of them really frightened me, until I saw three movies that scarred me for life. The first being The Exorcist(I still haven't outgrown that one). The second film was Night of the Living Dead, although now I have a fetish for Zombie movies, thank you George A. Romero. The third film was Hellraiser, let me tell you my brothers, I slept with the night lite on for a long time fearing a Cenobite was lurking in the dark just waiting to shoot razor sharp chains at me and rip off my skin. Yeah, it was like that. The Hellraiser films actually featured a ton of sequels, not worthy enough to compete with the likes of Jason and Freddy though. The good news is that Clive Barker is remaking the original Hellrai

New Rambo Movie - A Gorefest?
2008-01-25 12:16:00
Now, I'm not a critic or anything, but I doubt the new Rambo movie is gonna win any Oscars. That doesn't mean it isn't going to be entertaining as hell and by "entertaining as hell," you know what I mean my fellow movie death lovers. If you haven't watched the new Rambo promo, then you've missed out on probably the most violent movie trailer ever. Here's a clip from Rambo called "never give up." In it you'll see why this movie is rated R for strong graphic bloody violence and grisly images. The movie comes out today, so if any of you see it, leave a comment and spoil us with your favorite death scene.

Ever seen a panther chew a man's face off? Well then, you obviously haven't seen Apocalypto yet. If it's one thing about Mel Gibson movies, it's that they are chock-full of great movie deaths. Braveheart, The Road Warrior, We Were Soldiers, The Patriot, and let's not forget Passion of the Christ. I don't know, Mel must have some raging anger inside his psyche or something. The first clip is the original cougar mauling in the film, but if thats not gory enough for you, check out this deleted scene.

Psycho - The Shower Scene
2008-01-14 15:24:00
Before the Nightmares, before Friday the 13th, before Holloween, there was Psycho . Thanks to Hitchcock, the slasher movie lives on. This scene shocked movie audiences in more ways than one. Seeing Janet Leigh taking a shower was atypical by 1960 standards. Killing off the star of the movie was unimaginable by Hollywood standards. In fact, this might actually be one of the most important scenes in movie history. Hitchcock was a genius, but he was also crazy and obsessive about his films. Alfred Hitchcock bought the rights to the novel anonymously from Robert Bloch for only $9,000. He then bought up as many copies of the novel as he could to keep the ending a secret(good thing the internet didn't exist back then). Forget about the rumors you heard or read on Wikipedia: No, Hitchcock did not

Goldeneye - 007 vs 006
2007-12-27 14:54:00
One of the best fights of the "new" bond era. Bond goes Mano-a-Mano with M16's own 006, now a rogue agent with a hatred for 007. A couple things make this movie great. Sean Bean as 006 plays the ultimate is-he-good-or-bad-guy as his performance in this movie oozes a hatred for Bond. Pierce Brosnan in his first role as James Bond does a great job, but for those of you who owned a Nintendo 64 and played the game, the movie is just 10 times better. I don't know what it is, it's just better. In this scene Bond and Trevelyan fight atop a tiny platform high above a satellite dish, as 006 is strangles 007, he gets distracted by the escape chopper. Bond headbutts and kicks him off, but grabs his leg before falling. Alec asks Bond one last time, "for England James?" Bond replies, "no, for me" and l

Goldfinger - James Bond vs Oddjob

Oddjob. Auric Goldfinger's personal chauffeur, bodyguard, golf caddy, and deadly assassin. Armed with a razor-sharp bowler hat that he uses as a lethal flying disc, Oddjob has become one of the most iconic henchman in Bond history. Extremely strong and nearly invincible, Oddjob smiles as he pummels Bond in a locked vault at Fort Knox. Oddjob is fearless, he knows he's going to die in the vault when the nuclear device explodes, but he is loyal to Goldfinger and knows that he must stop Bond from disarming the bomb. There's only one thing Oddjob is afraid of, his own razor-sharp hat. Bond attempts to use his own hat against him. Bond misses Oddjob with the throw, causing his hat to get stuck between the metal bars. When Oddjob goes to retrieve his hat, Bond dives for a severed electric cable

Live and Let Die - Mr. Big Goes Boom!
2007-12-26 13:43:00
One of my personal favorite Bond movies of all time, Live and Let Die had it all. Voodoo, pimps, drugs, Paul McCartney, alligators, sharks, rednecks, speedboats, afros, new villians, human scarifice, and one of the best Bond kills ever. The only thing missing was Q. In the final showdown, Bond and Mr. Big go at it in a pool filled with man eating sharks. Bond manages to put a pellet of compressed air in Mr. Big's mouth, it detonates and inflates him to the ceiling before exploding into pieces. Temple of Doom - The Movie Scene that Created PG-13
2007-12-17 14:29:00
One of the best all-time violent scenes from a PG rated movie. This clip from Temple of Doom is the main reason why we have a PG-13 rating. To this day, the scene is still censored in the UK. If it's one thing Spielberg and Lucus know how to do, it's how to off someone. Mola Ram chants to the Hindu goddess Kali for a human sacrifice. He then rips out our victims' heart and lowers him into a lava pit. As the victim descends into the hot magma, the still beating heart in Mola Rams' hand burst into flames. So let's recap: guy gets his heart ripped out, then is lowered into a vat of molten lava while still somehow alive. Now that's a movie death! Here's is the loose Hindu translation to Mola Rams chant:bali chadhoge - (you) will be put up for sacrificebali mangti kali ma - mother kali asks for

Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers - The Exploding Head Done Right
2007-11-29 09:51:00
With this clip from the 1995 movie, Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers , we explore how much better an exploding head looks with a little more effort. Sure, a head probably won't explode from being electrocuted, but the explosion itself looks great. The scene where John Strode's head pops actually looks very similar to Belloq's in Raiders of the Lost Ark. The scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark had to be censored by superimposing flames over the image, which was created by using a shotgun to shoot a dummy head filled with bloody chunks. The same technique was used for the exploding head in Scanners. So, that's how they do it!

Chopping Mall - The Exploding Head Gone Wrong
2007-11-26 16:52:00
The "exploding head" has evolved over the years. Done best in the 1981 movie Scanners, many question arise when trying to create the scene. Why would someones head blow up in the first place? Would it blow up into pieces or big chunks? How much blood do you use? In this scene from Chopping Mall (1986) we show you how it can go terribly wrong and cheesy. When someones head blows up, it's not supposed to look like a exploding pinata. With a little bit more blood and guts this could have been much better. Sure, this is The Greatest Movie Deaths of All Time, but we also like to explore those not-so-great cinematic demises. movie, movie, movie, movies, movies
