Statoil ASA “joins” the “League” 2007-06-27 11:11:20 Yes, 100% accurate. Now it’s official: Statoil
ASA (www.statoil.com) &ldquo

” by having a Statoil Nigeria “Official” Website [make sure you pop-up blocker is active and your anti-virus is ON], this one http://statoil-ng.com/
Up-to-date information can of course be found on Oil Offshore Marine Beware of Job Scams.
http://statoil-ng.com is a FAKE website, designed to steal Statoil’s corporate identity and use it for FRAUD. For comparison, Statoil’s real website is www.statoil.com and Statoil Nigeria contact details are these.
For our highly-trained eyes, is was clearly a scam as soon as we opened the webpage. But for those who do not have our expertise, let’s have some explanations put down.
We had determined that http://statoil-ng.com is a FAKE website, designed to steal Statoil’s corporate identity and use it in order to fool people most probably by issuing fake “job offers” and indicati
A Job Scam Case Study: Biotech Oil Nigeria or how to fool people 2007-06-26 13:57:43 Yes, another lovely day at work, other tens of emails to take care of, and, unfortunately, another set of emails coming from people
having received “job offers” from Biotech Oil Nigeria
. WOW! It seems the guys at Biotech Oil Nigeria are really full of “projects”.
Unfortunately for them, long time ago Oil Offshore Marine has determined that they are job scammers, and we posted here information about them.
Case Study
follows:
1. If you didn’t know, Biotech Oil Nigeria is THE most powerful and the richest company in the world. Why? Read this: “2.1 BIOTECH OIL shall pay Employees on satisfactory performance of the services the sum USD 43,240 (Forty Three Thousand Two Hundred and Forty Dollars only) monthly or Euros equivalent depending on employee’s home country.”
2. Biotech Oil Nigeria offers employment without any formal interview, be it in person or by telephone. Now that’s really cool!

Update on Fake Shell Nigeria Website 2007-06-22 16:03:42 A necessary update on the previous post.
Based on our research and analysis of all available information, we had assessed that http://shell-ng.org/default.htm is a daring copy of http://www.shell.com/home/Framework?siteId=nigeria.
Reasons:
1. http://shell-ng.org/default.htm is a website with no REAL background whatsoever.
2. Before you paste http://shell-ng.org/default.htm into your address bar MAKE SURE your pop-up blocker is ACTIVE and your antivirus system is ON. Why? Go on…
3. When you go to the address, your browser will indicate: “22 pop-ups blocked” and you’ll also be notified the http://shell-ng.org/default.htm website is a virus-land.
4. At the shell-ng.org contact page, that is, http://shell-ng.org/shell_nigeria__contact_us.htm, the job scammers indicate fake addresses and dangerous emails. Do NOT use any of these, as they are all belonging to SCAMMERS. Go here if you want to contact ShellNigeria
.
5. Should we continue? Guess not. We’ve made ou Read more:Update
Fake Shell Nigeria Website - JOB SCAM 2007-06-22 15:16:42 Oil Offshore Marine Official Notification
More and more people email and call us asking if http://shell-ng.org/default.htm is the real ShellNigeria
website.
Short Answer: No, it isn’t.
Long Answer: Be advised that Shell Nigeria official website is http://www.shell.com/home/Framework?siteId=nigeria and NOT http://shell-ng.org/default.htm. There is a BIG difference between the two, even though http://shell-ng.org/default.htm appears to be genuine, but it isn’t; http://shell-ng.org/default.htm is just a illegal copy of http://www.shell.com/home/Framework?siteId=nigeria

Yet another form of scam 2007-06-07 05:41:29 Believe it or not, today, Oil Offshore Marine, won the lottery :)) Yes, you heard right. WE won the lottery. Without, and that’s the real beauty, without even participating on any lottery whatsoever. And if you haven’t figured that already, it’s another SCAM, another form of FRAUD. Not a Job Scam, but a FRAUD & SCAM - as those scammers ultimately want your personal information.
Beware such emails or similar ones. Do not be fooled by the idiot formula “It is a promotional program aimed at encouraging internet users; therefore you do not need to buy ticket to enter for it.” How idiot can you be to even say this? But how idiot can you be to actually believe it?!?
Be advised. Stay smart. Think. Think. Think! Drop an eye on Oil Offshore Marine and on Job Scams Information to save yourself time, money and keep yourself secure.

Beware! Job Scams over internet 2007-05-22 10:50:24 Via Oil Offshore Marine:
This is not new. And it’s not good either. Internet-based job scams have developed very rapidly taking advantage of the fact that, when surfing the internet, the online system can be used to disguise one’s real name or position, thus allowing scammers to make false claims and earn easy money by fooling their victims.
What is a job scam? A job scam is a form of FRAUD where certain persons (scammers), posing as recruiters (agencies) or as employers offer really attractive employment opportunities (which seem too good to be true); subsequently, the jobseeker (candidate looking for a good job) is required to pay them [the scammers] money in advance, usually under the guise of work visas, air travel expenses, and out-of-pocket expenses . . . . . of a Better Job? Keep Your Eyes WIDE OPEN!
Everyone dreams of a better life.
Many dream of a better job.
No one dreams of bad luck.
But if you run into a case such as the one below, and don’t have prior information, you’re right in the middle of bad luck.
So let’s see an example of how you, a jobseeker, can get into bad luck, meaning trouble. Well, you do a search on the internet, Google, Yahoo, or MSN, or other search engines.
And wanting to work for a big company, you get into the following website: http://shell-ng.org/default.htm. It seems everything is ok, and you email them your CV. And you patiently expect an answer, answer that comes within two days or so.
[Note: we did not put http://shell-ng.org/default.htm as a link for the simple reason that we don’t want to link to them; to go to this address yourself, activate your pop-blocker and make sure your antivirus is on, then open a new b
