#41* I Called The Radio & Requested A Song 2007-06-27 14:50:00 *Of what I did on my blogging break.
When the radio DJ picked up and I realized I was talking to the same lady's voice that I had just been listening to on the radio, I did something I never thought I would ever do.
I freaked out that I was talking to a "celebrity".
To really let you know how stupid I was, I can't even tell you what her name is.
However, there I was requesting a song. It was Read more:Radio
What's in a name? 2007-06-26 14:31:00 Because I had way too much time on my hands during my blogging break (about five hours a day were freed up) (pretend I'm not actually admitting that), I've decided to start baking cakes, decorating them, and selling them out of my own home. I don't think anyone else around here does that, so hopefully there would be somewhat of a need for me.
And I ain't nothin' but full of ideas on how to avoid

Straight From the Depths of Hell 2007-06-25 16:59:00 **Warning! Worms will be harmed in the writing of this post... or ah... actually they are already harmed, but they will soon be exploited.**
Once I asked my mother in law where tomato worms come from. One minute your tomato plant is healthy and thriving, the next, it's gone and its place is the largest, grossest, and scariest looking worm. She replied that they must fall down from Heaven, but my Read more:Straight

my garden 2007-06-23 22:50:00 This photo is a few weeks old, but I still clearly remember the thrill that went down my spine when I discovered this inside the fence of my garden.
Tonight, with friends, we ate some of the spinach for supper.
It was actually gross. If you want the complete truth.

a pretty afternoon 2007-06-21 15:01:00 Slipping out of the house and away from the children for a few minutes, I spotted this butterfly dancing from flower to flower. I began snapping several pictures of him thinking to myself that it was a lovely afternoon and thankful for the few moments of peace.
Then my sweet girl-neighbor can out of her house and stood and chatted with me for a few minutes.
Making it all even better.

Hey, how 'bout another contest, y'all?
Last year, after Tank was born, a good friend of our let us borrow several of his JamieSoles
CD's. Jamie Soles sings wonderful biblical songs with a focus of singing to children, but without the adult barf-factor. You know what I mean, after hearing the children's songs the sixth time, you want to beat your head against the wall
100 Things 2007-06-19 11:17:00 During my blogging break, I thought it would be fun to let you know about 100 things I was doing instead of blogging. Then I realized most of my life was pretty doggone boring.
Don't say I didn't warn you.
#42*—I Made Coffee 2007-06-19 03:50:00 *Of What I Did On My Blogging Break
I not a big coffee drinker, but in the afternoons, every now and then, I like a little pick me up. Scooping the last of my coffee grinds into my little machine, I paused and frowned at the amount I had dumped in there. It was borderline too much. Normally, I don't give it a second thought, but on this particular day I wavered back and forth between scooping Read more:Coffee

These questions were asked of me: What would you do if you were stranded in an unknown city with no money or resources? How would you eat? Where would you sleep? What about the weather?
The answer is, I have no earthly idea. Considering “Where the Heart is” is one of my favorite movies, maybe I would try to find a Walmart and hole up in there
Happy Father's Day 2007-06-17 04:21:00 It was 1:37 in the afternoon. The glaring sun was beating down; the thick humid air tried to suck the very life right from your lungs. The temperature gauge showed yet another day of almost 100 degrees. Ah... summer had arrived, and like it or not, the grass needed to be mowed.
Without complaint, he wheeled out the lawn mower and set to work. Behind him, a little boy toddled several feet away, Read more:Happy

Feeding iTurtle 2007-05-31 21:44:00 It occurred to me shortly after I captured my little iTurtle, that I had no idea what to feed it. I mean, I know they eat tomatoes because I've seen them, but that can't be all they eat, right? If I only feed him tomatoes would his little belly hurt? Can turtles throw up? What if mine was a picky eater?
Hubs did a little online research and discovered that box turtles, especially babies, need Read more:Feeding
A Little Tip For You Mother's of Babies 2007-05-30 09:05:00 Are your baby's clothing stained with none other than gross looking poop stains? Stain remover not taking them out? Did you accidentally give Princess waaaaaay too many jars of prunes and then learn your lesson very quickly not to ever do that again?

Dress Shopping 2007-05-29 23:59:00 Tonight, Scott dropped Tank and me off at Ann Taylor Loft while he took Belle to run a few errands. Rummaging through the racks, I found several adorable sundresses that would look nice for my upcoming high school reunion. With one hand on the stroller, my other was buried under 5-6 different dresses, all in one size- the smallest I can possibly fit into.

Using a Stat Counter on Your Blog 2007-07-01 08:20:00 It took me forever to figure out how people were able to see the google searches that lead odd wanders to their blogs. So if you too have been trying to figure it out, let me explain step by step how it's done.

A Girls' Night Out 2007-06-29 22:20:00 That's what I did tonight.
The evening was uneventful, but I sure did have fun getting ready to go. I applied so much makeup that I not only crossed the borderline of looking ridiculous, but left that marker way in the dust.
Then I over sprayed my hair with hairspray to the point I was no longer able to raise my arms, and my face was frozen with my eyes tightly closed. You would think that Read more:Night
