I stumbled across something incredible recently…
And as a fellow Internet Marketer, I felt it was my duty to share it with you.
If you’re anything like me and you’ve been building your internet business for a while, you’ve started to wonder…why am I working so many hours? I thought I was supposed to be able to [...]
Market conditions fluctuate so fast that workers would rather play it safe by working into the good books of the employer. What better way to do that than tobe the first person to step into the office and the last to leave. What started out as pure work enthusiasts end up being workaholics. Within this broad generalization, there are also those who choose to overwork themselves. The second group
Why people need to work, isn't it because they needs money for there future? Yes, but if your work consumes you and destroys your personal life, then there could be more that is going on, you could be a certified workaholic. The difference between hard work and work holism is on the fairway thinking about work. But hard workers generally have some balance in their lives. And work holism is an addi
Now that's the definition of a workaholic...100-year-old told 'take day off' Buster Martin said he went back to work because he was bored A man has turned up for work despite being told to take the day off for his 100th birthday. Buster Martin began cleaning vans for Pimlico Plumbers despite retiring as a market worker three years ago. Colleagues at the firm in Lambeth, south London, threw him a surprise party and were treating him to a tour of Chelsea FC's Stamford Bridge ground. Mr Martin said the last time he had a party he was in the desert "getting as drunk as a Lord when I was 21". He said the secret of his longevity could be due to a pint of bitter every day and daily press ups. The centenarian was born in France, but came to England as a baby and grew up in an orphanage in Cornwall until 1916. Moving to London he got his first job helping stall holders on Brixton market before joining the Army at 15 and served a total of 35 years before joining the Navy. After taking up a w

However, this week s topic is about the dangers of overdoing it. We all want to have a great career and a satisfying life, but there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. There s nothing wrong with taking pride in your work and putting extra time into your job. But if the extra focus you put on work is having a negative effect on how much you can enjoy life, you could be a workaholic!I work hard, but am I a workaholic?Just because you work hard, it doesn t mean you re a workaholic. If you love your job and enjoy the time you spend working, there s nothing wrong with that. You find yourself canceling things in your sche
While most people feel that the road towards career success is through working tirelessly, it will come to a point where loss of sleep will catch up on them. Loss of sleep is synonymous to health abuse and thinking that bodies can withstand and take the added fatigue and stress without proper respite is entirely dangerous and risky.
A lot of workers use this workaholic attitude to speed up their promotion with their respective companies. Although in the real world this is true, it also speeds up their prone towards different health risks such as obesity and heart disease. It will reach a point where over-fatigue will lead towards needing medical aids and supplements to withstand the loss of proper care for the human body. Hence, the need to re-evaluate the rate of living among people is something that should be looked upon twice.
Here is a good article to read upon for superficial understanding of this issue on the Herald Sun: Heavy Price of Lost Sleep

Well this is something fun: I did an interview with careerbuilder.com a while back for a piece on what we can learn from "workaholics" and to my surprise and delight, it's instead been published on at jobs.aol.com - on Page One ... and above the fold, no less! [4/23/7: at least it was through Sunday!]Here's an excerpt:If you want to have the success of a workaholic and still have your down time, Zweibel offers five strategies you can employ.1. Put in the hours at the right time. "There is a benefit to being seen in an organization," says Zweibel. If you are working late or are in on the weekend, pass by your boss's office for some face time. Not only will you get kudos for the extra effort, but you might get the opportunity for valuable one-on-one time.2. Pay attention to time stamps. If you are sending an assignment to your boss via e-mail after hours, the e-mail will indicate the extra time you are spending. Pay attention to when you are sending these messages -- they could demons
Ajith is a thorough professional. And these days, with him being very reticent, his work seems even more pronounced.Ajith, it maybe recalled, had to be rushed to the hospital during the shoot of Kireedom. He has a history of bad back and apparently that flamed up again. But after the mandatory checks and resting for a few days, Ajith didn’t want to prolong his rest.Despite some strong advice to take it easy for some more time, Ajith is back again shooting for Kireedom.Ajith, who just recently drove to Vizag in a car just because he couldn’t get a flight ticket and did not want the film crew to suffer because of his absence, wants to finish Kireedom early and take up Billa under Vishnuvardhan soon. Now, that clearly shows what a thorough professional Ajith is.Kireedom stars Ajith, Trisha, Saranya and Rajkiran. The story is about a strong and philosophical relationship between a man and his son.
The next bit is about layering in more colour, leaving little bits of the lighter colours to show.Watercolour is a funny medium, it can be very difficult to get a good result. I like strong shapes and colours and loathe that washed out look that is so easy to achieve, so there is a lot of layering in of washes of colour to get the depth that I want. I am tempted to try oils but suffer from huge impatience and like to work fast...Now I start to put in the dark shapes, this is a bit that I enjoy a lot, the picture begins to come out.It is important to keep it quite loose, trying out different effects too, sometimes wet in wet, sometimes different shaped brushes will give accidental effects that work well. Now its time to take the bull by the horns and throw caution to the wind and all that jazz, playing into the dark areas as they dry, sometimes a whole picture is almost hidden in the darkness. If that is achieved then the painting starts to live.So finally the masking fluid is removed an
Many people have asked me how, where and why I do what I do, so I shall attempt an explanation and try and show a step by step thing of a painting.I do most of the work sitting at my very messy table in a beautiful, light and airy room in the house. Sometimes I work on site so to speak but I am quite shy about doing that. People have a tendency to come and see what you are doing. I think that paintings are a lot like kids and go through embarrassing and inappropriate stages, which is exactly when someone will come along and say "that's nice...What is it?" or "is it finished"... So...I sally forth armed with my little sketch book and my camera. The sketch helps to sort out what you feel about something, what it is that strikes you first. Often it is an abstract arrangements of shapes and tones, which of course is what everything is anyway. So I try and record my main impressions, make a few colour notes that kind of thing. For example the edge of the big tree trunk seemed to have a pur
