Non posto da un po’ di tempo, e per questo vi chiedo scusa, ma ho notevoli impegni, e, si sa, il blog passa in secondo piano ogni tanto, no? Tra questi impegni, c’è anche il lancio di un nuovissimo blog (non vi anticipo nulla, sarà pronto a breve), in italiano: vuoi per il nome, forse un po’ troppo scontato, sono costretto a registrare un .it, invece del .com: se preferisco di gran lunga quest’ultimo al suffisso nazionale, è, oltre alle maggiori potenzialità, per il Private Whois. Penso che sapete cosa sia, grazie a questo posso proteggere i miei dati dai Whois Search e quindi da occhi indiscreti. Con il .it, invece, il Private Whois me lo posso solo sognare, visto che non è disponibile: dopo averci fatto due palle così con le storie sulla Privacy, permettono a chiunque di sbirciare tra le nostre informazioni private… Mah… A quando il Private Whois per i domini .it? Internet mantendrá la transparencia en lo que se refiere a saber quién hay detrás de una página web. La base de datos Whois, donde se registra quién es el dueño de cada dominio, se queda como está, totalmente abierta al público; con sólo teclear una dirección web se puede conocer hasta el número de teléfono de quien la ha pagado.   En los últimos días, la ICANN, el máximo organismo que gestiona los dominios de Internet, se había planteado cambiar sus normas para evitar que estos datos fuesen públicos en el caso de usuarios particulares que no utilizasen las webs con fines comerciales con el argumento de que violaban su privacidad. La idea es que los datos de las webs de particulares fuesen custodiados por terceras partes.   Pero con una votación de 17 contra siete, Whois mantendrá los mismos datos, aunque la ICANN seguirá debatiendo en el futuro sobre este asunto. Whois.net, el conocido site para realizar consultas de dominios, tiene un bonito fallo desde esta mañana. La verdad es que no me parecía algo relevante pero visto que llevan así todo el día lo comento. Parece que algún iluminado ha quitado el mod_php de la configuración del Apache :) Podéis comprobarlo vosotros mismos. Whois.net La verdad es que ver una página con PR 7 con esto duele un poco.
