How To: Avoid Being “Tracked 100% of The Time” When Using P2P and Bittorent (Noob Friendly)
According to researchers at UC Riverside, “use a blocklist or you will be tracked… 100% of the time“. That’s an awful statistic. It comes from an article found on Ars Technica, so you know its pretty darn reputable information. I recommend you read the whole article (already linked up there). However, here is a small excerpt: Title: P2P researchers: use a blocklist or you will be tracked… 100% of the time The old cliché “You’re not paranoid if they really are out to get you” turns out to apply quite nicely to the world of P2P file-sharing. A trio of intrepid researchers from the University of California-Riverside decided to see just how often a P2P user might be tracked by content owners. Their startling conclusion: “naive” users will exchange data with such “fake users” 100 percent of the time. Sources: ARS TECHNICA via HACK THE PLANET rss Basically, at the very least, you need to use a blocklist or you ar

Things you should know when using permalinks
Wordpress is the real way to a truely professional and outstanding blog but many new blogs fail even if they have got good resources since they haven’t configured some simple features of Wordpress to match their audience and provide a strong base for the blog to grow on. One of such features is the Permalink which I shall be discussing the basic things you should be knowing on it in this post. If people like your post, they would want to save it, bookmark it or send it to friends. And what’s more frustrating(especially when there are several links from the same domain), to have something like blogdomain/?p=10,blogdomain/?p=153, Wordpress default link structure which convey no meaning to the content the link is pointing to. Wordpress thus offers a nice feature to allow your blog’s links to have a pleasant format, called Permalinks that you can customise to your liking by going to your Wordpress Admin section > Options > Permalinks and configuring things from there.

Things you should know when using post excerpt
Post excerpt allows you to display only the first part of your blog’s post, a block of content instead of displaying the full post. While many don’t know the real reason behind and just use it to make things more aesthetic, displaying excerpt has got many advantages both in the SEO, monetisation and traffic area. There are also further things you should be knowing and setting up when using post excerpt which I shall be describing in this post. why use post excerpt? Better SEO. Google considers any similar block of content as duplicate. So if you display the full post on the frontpage as well as in the archives(category, month, etc archives), all of this will add to duplicate content which will affect your position in the search results. To boost speed. When you display excerpt, only a small part of which might be a very long post gets displayed, this preventing your blog from loading the full post on the front/archives page gaining you in loading time. Providing visitors a

Keyboard Shortcuts when using Folder List
Dave from VistaKnowledgeBase.com has a nice little post about useful keyboard shortcuts you can use while browsing your files in Explorer. F6 or Tab: Cycles the focus through out the window: Favorite Links, Folders, Main Window Alt+Left Arrow: can be used like the back button on your browser. It will open the previously viewed window and once you have used it you can use Alt+Right Arrow to move forward through the recently opened windows. Backspace: will take you to the parent disk or folder of whatever you are looking at F2: Rename the item you have selected ALT+Enter: Display the properties of the item selected CTRL+N: Opens a new window at the same point you are at Alt+D: Select the address bar. Usually followed up with a quick CTRL+C to copy the current location [F4 does the same thing] F11: Maximize or minimize current folder These really just scratch the surface, if you know of a great shortcut please leave it in the comments below! Thanks Dave (VistaKnowledgeBase.com)
