Finally got round to upgrading my 'Weblog language translator' from beta.
Key to improving it was removing the roll over based banner I had implemented (the Google translation service, which I piggy-back off of, only translates circa 3k characters, so the banner header, full of links was using up the majority of the translation).
Obviously this points out a few of the flaws of the implementation, namely reliance on Google to provide the service (and of course a dependency on the call syntax not changing), and all of the weaknesses that follow on from relying on the Google service, not least the translatable character limit.
This time round I'm much happier with the implementation - and I've done a fair bit of testing to ensure it's fit for purpose.
Unlike the other implementations out on the web I've added Roller specific functionality, implemented in JavaScript, creating a 'main' (or rather 'weblog') page for each language.
You might want to know how linking can improve your rank. This statement is not persuading you to commit over-linking strategy for your weblog. To commit too many links exchange is not good for your weblog, if you want me to tell you in honest, then I only can say that excessive links exchange will kill your weblog’s traffics.

Hey Everyone, I just read this post on ThinkProgress about the right wing campaigning to have an anti-global warming blog win the best science blog of 2007. A number of right wing media outlets have been pushing people to vote for "Climate Audit", run by a former mining executive.

Totally not photography related, but I felt the need to share. I’ve made quite a few little changes on this website, and I just wanted to point some things out for any new arrivals (and for those who read the feed without coming to the site too often).
I haven’t changed the overall design in quite a while, but I’m constantly updating the sidebars and the way certain pages operate. I’ve really tried to start the process of simplification on the site, so nearly 100% of what I show in sidebars or other pages I find to be relevant to photography in general. Most noticeably, the sidebars lost a little weight and clutter.
SIDEBARS
The “Info Center” will get you what you need. Most notably are the new email subscriptions.
The “Weekly Poll” and “Current Project” spots speak for themselves. Do note that I’ve added a running entries page for projects.

If you use AIM 6.1 and run a weblog with Xanga, you might want to display a link to your Xanga web page in your AIM profile. Having that link is quite useful, as it will remind your buddies to pay your blog a visit from time to time. Setting up your AIM profile to display a link to Xanga is quite simple, just follow these steps:
Build the link to your Xanga Weblog. This can be done using the following wizard.
Copy the code that was generated by Xanga. Don’t continue the wizard.
Login to your AIM 6.1.
Click Edit, then click My Buddy Info.
Paste your Xanga weblog link into the pop-up screen, then click the Save button.
From now on, there should now be a link to your Xanga site in your AIM profile!
