After writing my recent post on environment in Qatar, I was impressed to see that Qatar is now planning to start producing electricity from waste. According to an article in the Gulf Times today, a waste plant which will be opened next year will produce enough electricity (40 mega watts) both to power all the plant's needs and those of its 400 employees and their families.
