Recchi has only 2 goals and 6 assists in 19 games played this year. He has been a healthy scratch in 7 of his last 8 games.But that doesn't mean that Recchi is done like dinner though. He can still put up better numbers than that, even if he is 39 years old. He still has blazing speed and good hands. Last season with Pittsburgh, he scored 24 goals and 68 points in 82 games. Not bad at all.In his regular season career, he has 510 goals and 1341 points in 1357 games. Recchi has 47 goals and 117 points in 140 career playoff games. According to Mike Reiss of the Boston Globe, the New York Jets have claimed DE Kareem Brown off waivers from the Patriots. The report states that the Ravens and 49ers also had placed a claim on Brown, but the Jets won the claim due to their worst record amongst the three teams. Brown was a fourth-round draft choice by the Patriots this past April. He has not played in a game this season and was expected to be signed to the Patriots practice squad if he cleared waivers.
