Apple Cider Vinegar It Tastes Horrible But It Sure Does Work!
Apple cider vinegar or ACV is an amazing potent detoxifier that has been shown to boost the immune response, sooth arthritis and joint pain, cure heartburn and help people with Fibromyalgia. ACV contains a chemical called Malic Acid (kinda like my name), which is an Aluminum detoxifier.  Aluminum is a horribly sneaky neurotoxin that has found it’s way into our cookware, food containers, toothpaste, anti-prespirants and vaccines.  This is a loaded topic that gets me very passionate.  I’ll post an article on toxins soon where I discuss the ill effects of aluminum. Take 1-3 tablespoons of ACV throughout the day and up the dose when you’re feeling ill and this simple cheap sauce will go to work healing your body!  It tastes great on salads too. Bottoms up!

The biofuel start-up, which has moved from Colorado to Silicon Valley, says it has come up with a method of making cellulosic ethanol that results in close to 40 percent more fuel per ton of wood chips than competing processes. By 2010 or so, the company hopes to be producing ethanol commercially for 80 cents a gallon at wholesale. That could translate to anywhere from $1.10 to $1.50 at the pump, depending on a host of factors. Read the full story at News.com. From Laura B. wmrc.uiuc.edu

      Vinegar used to detect cancer
A cheap and simple screening test using the key ingredient in vinegar could help slash incidence of cervical cancer in poor countries, according to a trial conducted in India and reported in Saturday’s Lancet. AdvertisementThe method entails making a visual inspection of the cervix, using a speculum (a tool to dilate the vaginal walls), a bright halogen lamp and a solution of three-to-five-percent acetic acid. The solution is applied to the cervix, and suspect tissue shows up as whitish lesions. Healthy tissue shows no colour change. Doctors led by Rengaswamy Sankaranarayanan of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) in Lyon, France, tested the method on 31 000 women aged 30-59 in the district of Dindigul, in the southern state of Tamil Nadu.
