Yesterday evening we went out to listen to the Swedish folkrockband “Patrask” (in english: riffraffs), Gotlands folkrock band #1. Their sound is almost a bit like Irish folkmusic actually, excellent played.
They played much on a major accordion and a kind of Bazouki, a 10-stringed special ordered. The Bazouki came here from Turkey-Greece.
They were playing at the newly opened restaurant and bar “Sylvis Döttrar” at Kyrkviken at Fårö. Sylvis döttrar is two very bright and active young women who have been managing the local bakery in Ekeviken at Fårö, also called Sylvis Döttrar.
Very famous bakery I might add! They have very yummy buns…. *drooling*

Well that didn't last long.
I took the main computer back to debian today. Main reason, ubuntu is slow as hell and it was getting really annoying, I couldn't get the aspell to install right, and to be honest without a spell checker I'd starve. I did alter two things with debian this time, first i upgraded my kernel before I did anything else, this seems to avoided an error I was getting with that. And second I installed stunnelright off the hop so I could use kopete on irc below port 1024, BTW use the deb sources from us.debian.org not debian.org for stunnel, it laggs out.
So on my wish list for debian, the replacement of 'root' and defaulting to sudo that ubuntu does, I still think that's a major plus for ubuntu. Wish lists for Ubuntu? well, speed up the kernel and everything else for one, include aspell within the openoffice distro, and make the gdm templates more compatiable, a bios editor would be nice too.

Well I have made the switch to Ubuntu from Debian. For those of you who have no clue let me give you a little recap.
Both Debain and Ubuntu are Linux operating systems, I have tried out Redhat, Fedora Core, Dragon Linux, Mandrake, and even Cygwin. I left Redhat for Fedora Core because they stopped supporting it in favour of FC3, so I switched to that not out of choice, but because I was forced to. FC3 had it's problems, but for the most part I didn't like an operating system that pretended to be a windows clone. Redhat/Fedora are good for those who are trying to make the switch to linux, but once you want to start really using the power of linux, you leave it behind.
Debian is by far the best OS for geeks, I still have two boxes that run on it. But in order to tweek debian for the paranoid geek like myself you really need an OS that tries to be as paranoid as you are. Ubuntu started out as an OS for the security culture crowd, or at least the projects connected with Ubuntu did. Th
