Be ethical in your dealings with money, and 'prosperity is the reward of the righteous'.

Proverbs 23:5When you don't have money it can seem like the only thing that's important. When you do have money, keeping it and getting more can seem just as important. This verse reminds us that wealth is fleeting, and we can't take it with us. We need to store up our treasures in heaven, where things are more permanent, and our "treasures" can't be stolen or taken from us.
Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Romans 13:1 What does this verse mean? Unfortunately it means that I have to pay my taxes, and live under the govenerment authorities God has established. I may not always like it, but as Jesus said in Matthew 22, "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's". This too is vanity. ~ Ecclesiastes 5:10This verse tells us what many of us probably already know, or sensed at some point. When you have money - you want more. When you get a raise, you want a bigger one. What we have is almost never enough. What is sad is that we spend so much of our lives chasing after something, only to find that it is, as the verse says, "vanity". My prayer for the day is that I will long for things of the kingdom of God, and for things that aren't vain.

In the house of the wise are stores of choice food and oil, but a foolish man devours all he has. He who pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor. Proverbs 21:20 This gives us an idea of how God wants us to save for a rainy day, to set something back for safekeeping. If you're foolish you'll spend all your money on frivolous things, leaving nothing for the future.
This is what the Lord says: "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the Lord." Jeremiah 9:23-24 Wealth can become the center of our life and take God's place. We need to remember that anything we earn comes from God, and that if we want to be proud of something, we should be proud and boast of our salvation in Jesus Christ.
