Ingredients
pizza dough
about ¼ cup of pesto sauce
4 Roma tomatoes, sliced about ⅛″ thick
1 8-oz. can of mushrooms, drained
1 12-oz. package of fresh mozzarella, sliced into medallions
about 5 tbsp of Parmesan cheese
about ¼ cup of extra virgin olive oil
Directions
Pre-heat oven to 450°.
Pour the extra virgin olive oil on a baking sheet and spread it evenly with a cooking brush.
Stretch the pizza dough on a baking sheet.
Spread the pesto sauce evenly on the pizza dough.
Evenly place the Roma tomotoes on top of the pesto sauce.
Sprinkle about half of the Parmesan cheese on the tomatoes. This helps absorb moisture and keeps the pizza from getting really soggy.
Evenly place the mushrooms on top of the tomatoes.
Sprinkle the rest of the Parmesan cheese on top of the mushrooms.
Evenly place the mozzarella on top of the mushrooms.

Yesterday in Geneva, Volkswagen CEO Martin Winterkorn officially introduced the world to the new Golf Variant. Early reports, including a VW press release issued in late February, indicated that the car would launch with a pair of gasoline and a pair of diesel engines. The official word at Geneva has changed to include just one gasoline engine and a pair of TDIs. The 1.4L TSI 4-cylinder won't appear in the car at launch...a last-minute change, from the looks of things. The press release pasted after the jump still mentions "two gasoline engines" in a section that didn't get the required edit. The absence of the TSI makes the 2.0 TDI the top-flight engine in the new wagon. It generates 140 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque while sipping fuel at a rate of 42 mpg. The story suggests that this new iteration would be based on the current Civic sedan platform, which we would expect to mean that this version would likely be larger than the Euro Civic. To further speculate, we assume this car would lose both the "magic seat" feature and the Euro Civic's torsion beam rear suspension, presumably in favor of the independent multilink setup currently found in the rest of the Civic lineup. Even if this new version of the Civic is built, we're skeptical that we'd ever see it in the US unless hatchbacks suddenly turn "hip". [S
Volkswagen has just launched the new wagon version of its popular Golf hatch, which picks up the Golf Variant title in following with previous generation models of the estate. Measuring an extra 36cm over the regular Golf, the Variant offers up to 690L of storage space with five passengers on board. Fold down the rear seats and you're looking at a load space of 1550L.Unique exterior features include the new tail lamps that wrap around the sides of the rear fenders as well as the tail gate. The Variant will initially be launched with two gasoline and two diesel engines, which includes a 1.4L 140hp (103kW) "Twincharger†TFSI model.
