According to the court, Carluccio, an employee of Carluccio Construction Inc., was driving the company car, insured by Aviva Insurance Company of Canada, with a license that had expired in January of that year.
Carluccio argued he did not receive a renewal form or any notice from the Ministry of Transportation that his license had expired.
Aviva denied liability to both the construction company and Pat Carluccio on the basis that driving with an expired license was a breach of statutory condition No. 4 of the Insurance Act.
Based on the rule of Ontario Superior Court Justice, the Insurer does not have to provide a defence to its insured.

The Google PageRank Toolbar in SEO circles is a hotly debated item, as are most issues dealing with Google. Some say it’s useless, others say it gives you a general overview of your site’s standing in Google. Regardless of who is right, this Toolbar shouldn’t be ignored nor worshipped, just closely watched.
The Google PR Toolbar is a simple tool you can download and place on your browser. When you surf the web, this toolbar will give you Google’s PR or Page Rank for that particular site or page. Google ranks all web pages from a scale of 0 to 10. This Toolbar is more like the Richter scale than an ordinary scale, there’s a big difference in the rankings as you go up and they are not proportional.

Trust Seth Godin to come up with a nice little soundbite which so nicely sums up the attitude of many companies when it comes to taking on new ideas or new ways of working.
Granted he wasn’t referring specifically to blogging or the take up of social media marketing but he could very well have been because, in corporate organisations of all sizes, this attitude certainly exists.

I’ve noticed a few blogs and sites have a Valid XHTML badge or similar on their site. Out of curiosity I ran a validation test here on my site to see how it held up. 14 errors initially most of them easy to correct so I made a few changes and it’s now down to 1-6 depending on the page you check.
My question is how important is having valid code?. It seems the makers of web browsers have accounted for most common code mistakes and auto correct or compensate. Checking through some of the high volume blogs like ProBlogger, StevePavlina and JohnChow etc. they have 100+ errors on a validation check so they obviously are not concerned. Maybe if the site loads in a few of the common browsers why spend hours debugging when you can be writing content and generating links?
A quick check of some recent visitors and it looks like you guys and gals aren’t bothered either!

Due to the nature of the information in this post, I need to start with a disclaimer. The purpose of this post is *not* to create fraudulent workable credit card numbers. It is to explain the math and the science behind those numbers that most of us see day in and day out; and hence this post should be viewed from a purely academic perspective.
Typical credit card anatomy
Before we understand how credit card numbers are generated, here is a brief explanation of what the numbers on a typical credit card mean.
Out of the 16 numbers on a typical credit card, the set of first 6 digits is known as the issuer identifier number (read this for details), and the last digit is known as the “check digit” which is generated in such a way as to satisfy a certain condition (the Luhn or Mod 10 check). “Luhn check” is explained later in this post. The term sounds intimidating, but it’s really a very simple (and elegant) concept.
