Here's the text of the e-mail — and I'll let you know if I hear anything more on the situation.“I just spoke to an alumnus that is working very hard to keep the school open. He told me that a core group of alumni had a meeting yesterday with representatives of the archdiocese. Yankees' Minor-league Report: Betemit makes rehab, Kennedy to start at AAA tomorrow
PRESS RELEASE FROM THE YANKEES:UPDATE ON BETEMIT:The Scranton-Wilkes Barre Yankees defeated the Durham Bulls, 9-5, in Sunday’s game. Wilson Betemit was 1-for-3 with a double and 2BB, playing 1B. Overall, he is 5-for-13 (.385) with 3R, 4 doubles, 2 RBI and 3 BB in four games played with Scranton/WB (2-3B, 1-1B, 1-DH), batting leadoff. MY THOUGHTS: IMO, Wilson Betemit does not have much value to the Yankees anymore. I believe Alberto Gonzalez has earned himself an important spot on the club and is doing just fine in his role as of late. He gives the Yanks flexibility and is not an automatic out. His speed kills but his glove is what catched my attention most. Perhaps Yankees can involve him in a trade? Before Betemit had gone on the DL with a pink eye, the Pittsburgh Pirates were eying th

This here photo is of Rob Ryan. He's a Bayonne police sergeant, and he's an old buddy of mine from my days as a student at St. Peter's Prep. He was actually a student on the one retreat I led as a senior in high school. He was from the Class of 1993, and I was in the Class of 1992. Today, he got up to $16,000 on the syndicated version of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" He goes for the $25,000 question tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. on Channel 7. It would be really nice to see him win a bundle. He was a great person in high school, as I am sure he is now. Good luck, Rob! (And thanks, ABC, for the pic)!

I went to Mom's to list for eBay (we need the money for the upcoming Amish quilt auction), and Mia came with me. Molly and Doogie spent the day goofing around at home. By the time I got home around 7 pm, I was completely exhausted and in a world of pain. I asked Molly to get Mia in pjs while I put mine on. When I came out of the bedroom, all three kids were dancing like maniacs around the living room. That's today's video. I apologize for the poor sound and light quality, I used my digital camera to capture it. But I'm so glad I did. It completely lifted my spirits. The following is a guest post by Lynnae of Being Frugal.net, a blog about frugality and getting out of debt. If you enjoy this post, consider subscribing to Being Frugal.net via RSS or email. We're living in tough times these days. The news pundits are using the word "recession" freely. Even John McCain said it. The prices of milk, eggs, and gasoline are skyrocketing. And the latest news is that Costco and Sam's Club are rationing rice, because there may be a rice shortage. With all the bad news, it's easy to panic. Will we be able to afford life's necessities? Is my job secure? Is my home's value going to tank? As Christians, though, we are not to worry. One of my favorite passages of scripture is Matthew 6:25-27. Chelsea's Season Could Be Over Tomorrow
At 12:45 on Saturday (26/04/2008) all eyes will be on Chelsea as they kickoff the most important game of the FA Premier League against Manchester United. This is a must win for Chelsea and they might have to do it without Frank Lampard, who is currently grieving after the death of his mother. Can Chelsea stop Manchester United from retaining the title? Personally I don't think so, I reckon the game is over hyped and I predict the final result will be  a 1-1 draw. However, I've been wrong on many occasions and it will probably be a blinding game with Chelsea overpowering Manchester United and winning 3-1. This would be the best result for all us neutral fans, who want the title to go right down to the wire. Elsewhere Birmingham City have got to dig deep and beat Liverpool to have a

      Hillary Will Smash Obama Tomorrow
Apparently Hillary's internal polls are showing her up 11 points in PA. She has consistently out performed her polls in these Dem primaries and I expect her to do so tomorrow as well. If Obama was as captivating as the media has made us think, Hillary would be dead already. The fact that this utterly unlikeable she-devil is looking to win most of these final primaries should tell us something... Click the Headline Link to Visit Copious Dissent and Read the Full Story.

Alternate Title: I, Not RobotThe dread. I’m trying to learn more about making my blog searchable and web-friendly. The number one tip is: Get rid of your cutesy titles.I like my cutesy titles, even if most of the time they are an inside joke with myself. That’s why I started this blog, for entirely selfish reasons. I needed to sort out the heavy emotions of the past year, I needed some time out, I needed to feel like 5 to 10 people a day I didn’t know thought I was kind of cool. Eventually I started writing somewhat coherently which is why I think BrazenCareerist picked me up.Then I noticed they kept changing my blog titles for their site. “It’s cool…” I thought, “otherwise the robots won’t find me.” It’s saying stuff like “otherwise the robots won’t find me” t

Voip Call centres : Softwares : Future of tomorrow
Hi,We have covered many post about making free calls to any country. So, I thought to share my views on this VOIP technology and its advancements in the call centre industry.Voice over internet protocol (VoIP)-based call centres have emerged as a key channel for customer service provision. They are being regarded as future of tomorrow. VoIP call centres enable users to make long distance calls for lower costs than the traditional contact centre would allow. An increasing number of organisations are investing in this voip industry.Contact centres are becoming e-contact centres, incorporating email, web chat and other forms of online communication, the report notes. Many employers are choosing to outsource work to agents in other countries, where they can be hired inexpensively. Improving the Cars of Tomorrow - 10 Technologies that could improve the cars of tomorrow
Camless engine - Reducing or eliminating friction will make future internal combustion engines more efficient. One of the biggest losses in energy occurs in the camshaft and its drive gears, chains or belts. The spinning camshaft is the valve-actuating mechanism that controls fuel intake and exhaust cycles. In a camless engine, the valves are opened and closed electronically. Unlike mechanical systems, which give fixed amounts of valve travel and timing, an electric or electrohydraulic device can move valves independently to any lift position for any duration desired. The introduction of camless engines has been stalled because engineers need to find another power source to move the valves. But competing technologies are moving forward, including a hydraulic system that uses magnetic field

Pet sitters need backups - & why I’m taking tomorrow off
It’s extremely important for pet sitters to have back up! Whether it’s a pet sitting company that has many employees or a sole proprietor, anyone who pet sits for a living needs to have someone to call on in case of emergency. Tonight I had to call on my backup. After doing a pet sitting visit this evening I got rear ended as I was leaving the apartment complex where my client lives. My car’s fine, but my neck, shoulder, & back took the brunt of the hit and I’m pretty beat up feeling right now. So, rather than try to drag myself out of bed in the morning for an early morning visit, I called on my backup person. Thankfully she’s available and knows the cats, and my client is fine with the stand in. I’m not in such bad shape that it would be impossible for me to do the visit

Markets poised to gap up tomorrow morning
The markets seem poised to gap up tomorrow morning. Let's look at some of the reasons why.First of all, INTC has been getting a lot of attention due to the scope of their business, their size, being a DOW component, etc. Intel is of course not the only company reporting, but as with GE, you wouldn't know it. For now, Intel will set the tone until the next whipping boy (GOOG, JPM, MER, LEH, etc.) reports.Outcome: INTC met their numbers and slightly improved their outlook. In after-hours trading INTC jumped 8.5%. Is that excessive? Absolutely - but keep in mind it's after-hours trading. It may however still have some important implications on other stocks. It may indicate that investors are allowing stocks to trade at a discount due to a certain level of uncertainty (due to earnings
