One Last Thought - Large Image View
My last thought is that maybe everyone doesn't want to download or use the pictures on their sites, they just want to look at the best image of beautiful sexy Asians they can as quick as they can. So I changed the light box script and added a bit and now when you click the picture you get the best image that can be dragged around (good if you have a small screen like me). I thought Black Cats were supposed to be lucky?
Well it’s yet another of those old Wives tales told to many a person while incapacitated on Vodka or what ever comes to hand, but I had always been under the impression that Black Cats were supposed to be lucky? If they are, it should be revised to; ‘All black Cats are lucky accept Felix’ So far, he’s managed to get the shit beaten out of him by practically every other Cat in the neighbourhood, Had brushes with Foxes and now there’s the latest where he came over our Fence and decided to rip his Belly on a plank of wood which had come away from the fence and was sticking out rather dangerously. Oh well mate, by my reckoning your probably down to 6 lives and your only bloody 10 months old.

Are The Orioles Who We Thought They Were?
Another game on the West Coast, another loss. I have my hands up in the air after another loss -- this time in extra innings; however, just like others -- close game, the Orioles struggle to come back and then lose in the end. What's to say? The one thing we thought would be the problem isn't the problem (the pitching) -- it's the bleeping offense.I said in the beginning of the year, I'd be happy to see the team improving, in a way it has with the competitive ball games and an effective relief/starting corps. But again the bleeping offense is making me wonder if the Orioles are who we thought they were. Now Roberts won't hit in the .250-260's (at least we hope), and Nick Markakis is far better than what he's showing right now. Animal Thought to be Extinct Rediscovered in Wild 112 Years Later
The greater dwarf cloud rat, an animal which some believed to have gone extinct, has been rediscovered in Mt. Pulag National Park in the Philippines by American and Filipino scientists. It was first found on the heavily deforested Mt. Data.Project lead Lawrence Heaney: "This beautiful little animal was seen by biologists only once previously -- by a British researcher in 1896 who was given several specimens by local people, so he knew almost nothing about the ecology of the species."Researcher Danilo Balete, who captured the specimen on the mossy branch of a large tree roughly 7,700 feet up, said: "We had suspected from its broad, hand-like hind feet that it lived up in big trees, but this is the first evidence to confirm that." Not yet recognized by Merriam-Webster is “thought leader”, which is defined as an one who is recognized among their peers as an innovative thinker. I Thought This Was A Good Idea
This idea came to me from Victoria at Teachings of The Horse when I had written the post about What Happens To Them. Victoria left a comment about putting a feeding schedule up in her barn so that even if something minor had happened and she wasn't able to get home to feed, the instructions would be there and available for someone to take over. What a great idea, I thought. So I created one to hang in my feed shed and I also identified each horse with a small photo. I sealed it in a sandwich bag for protection and detailed the horses and goats feeding instructions. This will be handy when Steve and I take small vacations or drive down to Missouri for a couple of days to pick Zoe up from University. I also created an animal identity page, since we have so many to hang on the fridge with a p

My reflection turned towards a phrase you are going to hear a lot when we get close to electing our next president. that phrase s "I'm Voting for the lesser of two evils" or something to that extent. Everyone who thinks they are doing as such and does not think they have another choice should be physically barred from voting. If you vote for the lesser of two evils instead of voting on principle and what you believe in you are abusing your democratic privilege. You might as well stay home because you will be contributing an equal amount to the process as if you would be by voting for the lesser of two evils. There are many things you could do inst

The message set me thinking. It is the universal tendency of human beings to blame something or the other for his mistakes. If not anything else we put the burden on the day - saying it is inauspicious. In reality, it all depends on our actions. There is a direct relationship between our deeds and the results we get. Moreover, we should accept what comes our way. As has been rightly said, "Bad days give you experience". Life is presented before us in all the shades. Literary thought of the week
So I was reading this article/photo essay about Edith Wharton's house -- and you know how much I like Edith Wharton -- and I was struck by this quote:In an early short story, "The Fullness of Life," she wrote: I have sometimes thought that a woman's nature is like a great house full of rooms: there is the hall, through which everyone passes in going in and out; the drawing room, where one receives formal visits; the sitting room, where members of the family come and go as they list; but beyond that, far beyond, are other rooms, the handle of whose doors perhaps are never turned, no one knows the way to them, no one knows whither they lead; and in the innermost room, the holy of holies, the soul sits alone and waits for a footstep that never comes.

Nothing going on this weekend except for a little ol' bar called Whisky River is having their grand opening. And since I'm in New Jersey, I don't think I'll be attending the grand opening.I figured since I really don't have much to talk about at 3:15 in the morning, I'd tell you about this cool page I found. Click here and have fun!!!!Oh and I almost forgot, drivers from all parts are racing in Mexico on Sunday. You can catch it on ESPN starting at 1:30 PM EDT.I'm going to try to fall asleep. Underscore try.Add-on: My blog seems to be googled a million times for Whisky River. I hope everyone is finding what they need from my site. I received one e-mail asking where exactly it is located. I looked on Whisky River's official web page and couldn't find squat on address or directions so I did

Thought of the day ~ Leadership
What does it mean to lead? John C. Maxwell describe leadership as the amount of influence you have. The more influence you have, the better your leadership quality. I truly agree with his idea as being a good leader means you need to be influential. The people you lead must be willing to be lead by you. So why should any one be willing to follow you? That's what we have to learn. How to get people to follow you?? The most important way is to read up books on leadership and think through how you can make use of the ideas found in the books and turn yourself into an influential person.

Thought of the day ~ Where do ideas come from?
Have you ever wonder how the many invention of products/services/ideas came about? How can something be created out of nothing?I think that all the inventions are just creative way to solve existing problems. There will only be solutions if there are problems. So, all the inventions must be based on some problems. Then how does all the problems come about? I think they come about because of other problems. In this complex world of ours, everything is interconnected. Every solution will bring about some problems which will be resolved by other solutions. So next time someone tells you the world is boring, ask them to think again. :)

      Just A Thought
Within the whole make-over discussion, a lot of people said that they felt this idea went against the core of The Sartorialist mission statement (so to speak). Actually it is at the very core and basically the reason the blog started in the first place. I have always said that the reason I started the blog was because i was not feeling inspired

A Small Price To Pay Although this particular model of thought screen helmet has several drawbacks, (The inability to see oncoming traffic, difficulty entering doorways, and a target for ridicule) it is highly effective at keeping the evil race of aliens attempting to control mankind through telepathy at bay. Thought of the day~ A book a day keeps brain degeneration away
We must learn to learn everyday. In this rapidly developing world, there's a constant need to keep improving yourself in order to keep pace with society. The minute you slow down and stop learning, you will find that the rest of society will speed past you leaving you way behind. In order to constantly improve yourself, you will need to read. Constant reading will keep the brain working and prevent degeneration. Reading will also increase your knowledge and enable you to perform more efficiently and effectively. The books you need to read are those books that improve your better skills. I believe that it's better to work on your good areas to make them the best instead of working on your poorer skills to make them better. The former will make you the best in your field while the latter will

I never thought HANDS-FREE BLOGGING was possible!
Yes, you read it right. I would have called it “blogging by remote control” but I think “hands-free” is more appropriate. I never thought it was possible until I tried it (in desperation), using a “device” that was under my nose all this time. You too can do it. I had to be resourceful. A case of stomach flu sidelined me over weekend, dashing hopes of another raucous night out with friends and engaging in my favorite activity at present, blogging. I was confined to my bed under strict doctor’s orders and was feeling helpless. However, I quickly found a solution. The flu might have... continue reading this, and much more, at keyboard monologues...

"G'day mate" (the very thought of greeting someone in such a manner has me writhing in agony.)

More to Merkel than we thought
Just as well German Chancellor Angela Merkel wasn't at Auckland's Sky City Casino wearing a dress like this -- she may have been shown the door... Berlin - German Chancellor Angela Merkel, 53, was surprised at the news-media attention to the plunging neckline of an evening gown she wore to the opera in Oslo, her deputy spokesman said in Berlin Monday. The chancellor's plain ankle-length black frock exposed an unusual amount of bosom on Saturday evening and stole the limelight...

I thought it was supposed to be Spring?
Well, the day was amazing, about 60 degrees and sunny. Mum took Gracie and I for a long walk and it was so much fun. The smells were fabulous today. But Mum is a little worried about her blooming shrubs, because tonight it's supposed to have a hard freeze, and the buds could get nipped! This will be the first year our Lilac and our Magnolia are looking like they are going to bloom. And our Fosythia is just beautiful! We sure would hate to lose their beautiful blooms to a freeze. And of course we've turned off the heat since it's supposted to be Spring. We may just have to get out the gas heaters to cut the chill tonight!I've noticed on TV that sometimes in Florida in the orange groves that they get out gas heaters to keep the oranges from freezing. That's cool!
