Amanda Tapping, Stargate SG-1’s Colonel Samantha Carter is eager to join Stargate Atlantis even after ten seasons playing the role.
She told SCI FI Wire: “It’s been great; it’s kind of an embarrassment of riches for me at the moment. The fact that my character moved over to Atlantis makes her a completely different character for me now. Amanda Tapping, Stargate SG-1's Lt Col Samantha Carter, is to join the cast of Stargate Atlantis. Stargate SG-1 goes off air after finishing the final ten episodes of the current tenth season, that begins in April.
Stargate Atlantis will resume production on the fourth season next month in Vancouver. Amanda will appear in no less than fourteen of the twenty episodes. In this new season new cast members are introduced, there will be the introduction of a powerful new race, and the loss of close friends.
