Surprisingly for a band that draw on the sort of feed back that would leave most My Bloody Valentine fans suffering multiple orgasms, credence is given to singer Caroline's vocals, and it's not hard to see why. Drawing heavily on the pop records that were floating around in the 1960s her vocals are warm and soft, the sound of the first day of Spring after those long, bleak summer (summer? Ed.) months running through the urban streets, and though her singing may not draw your attention away from the obviousness of their influences, it will certainly make you forgive them with its breathless charm.

I can’t quite remember the saying but I think it goes something like “problems are temporary but suicide is forever”. Hell, I don’t know, but that sounds about right.

The CDC has released a report finding a spike in successful suicides in adolescents in 2004. This increase is the largest increase since 1990. Is this the result of all the misinformation floating around anti-depressant medications causing suicide and violence in adolescents and adults? Thats about when the hullabaloo started. So that means that the increase in suicides may continue into 2007, four years of increased suicide caused by misinformation in the media. It would appear that media sources who print information on such volatile topics need to consult with professionals before doing so.
Perhaps even more importantly, researchers need to be obtaining peer review of their research before going to the media. It's become routine that new research authors send out news releases on topics that will attract media attention. The two-member Michigan Parole Board voted in December to grant parole on June 1 to Kevorkian with the promise that he won’t assist in any more suicides.
