StumbleUpon has just launched its Web-Toolbar, which means you no longer have to download the toolbar software and install it on your browser. Though I won’t switch to the Web-toolbar from the browser plugin, I certainly think web toolbar is a great feature to have. It makes stumbling so much more easier without the browser [...]

If you all remember, last month I posted a brief overview about Social Media and some of it’s many uses for SEO and exposure. Well, in this post and several to follow, we will explore a handful of sites in some detail.
The first Social Media site I want to look at is [...]ShareThis
New Port Richey, Fla. (ThaLunatic Daily) -- Tina Adams, a 46 year old teacher in Pasco County has been arrested and charged with DUI, child neglect and child endangerment. After she was stopped by police, she was falling down drunk in the middle of the road as her children sat in the car.It all began when a Pasco County Sheriff's deputy noticed Adam's 2002 Honda Odyssey being driven erratically.
One of the Big Ideas that’s gotten a boost from the recent oil price shock is the notion that the energy for transportation should come from the electric grid, not an oil well in the Middle East.
A number of big, established car makers have announced plans to produce cars that will pull from the electric grid all or part of the energy needed to make them go. They join a flock of upstart comp
Richardson Texas (ThaLunatic Daily) -- Thomas Brownlee, a 56 year old substitute teacher at Parkhill Junior High School in Dallas, Texas has been accused of arriving on the job so drunk, he was unable to complete a sobriety test.According to police and school authorities, Brownlee had showed up to class Tuesday with "slurred speech, breath smelling of an alcoholic beverage and bloodshot eyes."

I have to admit that StumbleUpon is very addicting. I've stumbled for hours at a time; wasting the time I was going to use to promote my blogs or post entries. Actually, it's been kind of like EntreCard dropping. I've been addicted to that one also.
Here are 5 reasons you should stop Stumbling and start living:
1. The pile of granola bar wrappers and Mountain Dew cans are starting to impair your view of the monitor.
2. You have Stumbled EVERY site in StumbleUpon and are starting over where you originally started Stumbling 3 days ago.
3. StumbleUpon has warned you many times about staying logged onto their site and using up all of their bandwidth.
4. You've just stumbled upon your ex-wife's Match.com profile and you think sh

I strongly urge you to read the six part post by my friend, Don Charles, on his blog, Christ, The Gay Martyr. The six part post is entitled, "Stumbling Blocks To Gay Liberation," and it deals with crucial stumbling blocks that are greatly hurting the psyches of so many Gay people, and are helping retard the needed activism necessary to gain full and equal civil and sacramental rights. Those stumbling blocks with which he deals are "Ignorance,"Denial," "Machismo," "Stereotypes, "Bibliolatry," and "Shame."His incisive discussions of each of these Stumbling Blocks is a must-read for all Gay people in deciding for themselves how and to what degree these impediments to living a fulfilling and meaningful life are housed within their psyches; how what impediments exist can be transcended so that th

In my post, Confessions of a Former Worldwide Church of God Member, I made a statement that I wish to expound further on:"Quite honestly, I say this knowing full well some of you, if not most will be offended by this statement, I find church attendance can be a hindrance to a believer's walk in faith"Before moving on let's clarify what exactly a "Stumbling Block" is."an obstacle or hindrance to progress, belief, or understanding""An obstacle or impediment""a difficulty that prevents progress"Source:American Psychological Association (APA):Stumbling Block. I don’t know about you, and I don’t mean to be a big holiday downer, but this year Christmas has lost any magic or charm it may have held for me in the past. And you know what? I’m not sad about that. Because none of the magic or charm was every about Jesus. It [...]
I was intrigued by a question that was posted by one of my fellow Calvary Chapel Pastors on another forum. He prefaced it with the observations that led him to ask the question, (which I’m leaving out of this post), and then went on to state this healthy inquiry of self inspection:
“I wonder if we [...]
I found out that someone to whom I have only written letters through work but have never seen even once or spoken to on the telephone has liver cancer and will die shortly. He is ninety-six years old, so death really is not the craziest thing that could happen to him at this point, and I would not know who he was without his file, a confirmed street address, and the photograph that will accompany his obituary, and yet I feel like weeping.I have the same feeling now that I had when I heard John McDermott sing "Danny Boy" with The Chieftains at a concert I went to in Cosmopolis in 1994.My fiancé at the time, Phil, took me to see them play, and just before intermission, John McDermott sang an a cappella version of "Danny Boy" that rent my heart into a thousand wilted pieces. To this day, I do not know why I had such a reaction to his clear tenor as it resonated up to my second balcony, front row seat, and I still do not know the words to that song or the history behind it, but on
This week was a busy week at work for me. In fact, I ended up sitting at my computer until 9pm Friday night just so I could finish everything before the weekend hit. Fun, I know… It felt like I was stumbling along all week. So, I decided to keep stumbling.
I think all of the articles listed here are good enough to share with my readers, and I decided not to stop there. I submitted each of them to StumbleUpon if they weren’t already submitted. Hopefully they got more attention than they otherwise would have. Thanks for the good reads, and I hope everyone enjoys these great articles.
Here are my favorite articles from the blogging world this week.
Save Money By Making Your Own Beer - Lazy Man and Money. I tried this once. It didn’t turn out great, but it was wonderful for cooking bratwurst!
Are You in the Financial Loop? - Clever Dude. This is a great article that everyone who shares any financial accounts with anyone else should read.

Just seen a demo of Halo 3 and the graphics were great. Smashing aliens in the 25th Century. A friend of mine got it on Tuesday and finished it the following Sunday. Not sure how much value for money he got there.
When I mentioned WoW he said he’d never played it but had a couple of friends that have and said ‘they’ve never come out the other side’, and that’s after playing for two years. Jeez, this is gonna be a long trek. And I struggled to get to level 17 for heaven’s sake.
I was playing it the other day and had this quest down a horrific mine. I had been down there twice before and both times got killed within 5 minutes. It seems people are actually nervous about going down there, well I was. Anyway I went down there with loads of other fully tooled up players almost all of who were a much higher level than me and what fun that was. We were battling thru this mine for half an hour and you wouldn’t believe the torrent of weaponry unleashed o
One odd fact about me (there are many more, trust me...but we'll just discuss this one for now)? When I'm very tired I cannot keep my right eye open, so this is an accurate self portrait. ;)I found this site, Mr. Picassohead last night while using StumbleUpon.*Here is a really cool tutorial on how to stencil with bleach...*Beautiful photos...Trippy optical illusion...*Stippling...How to create a block poster...Time lapse of a city (move your mouse around)...Tips on how to deal with negative people...*Beautiful 3D designs for pools...The difference between men and women... Do you know what astonished me most in the world? The inability of force to create anything. In the long run the sword is always beaten by the spirit. Soldiers usually win battles and generals get the credit for them. You must not fight too often with one enemy, or you will teach him all your art of war. If they want peace, nations should avoid the pin-pricks that precede cannon shots.__Napoleon BonaparteWe cannot use peace. It must come stumbling. We cannot force peace. It must enter free of war. Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding. __Albert EinsteinPeace, if it rears its beautiful head, will have found its legs in the resistance to bloodshed. The stepping stones of this event are laid down by the people. We must choose to walk upon the stones and not be motivated by force.I like to believe that people in the long run are going to do more to promote peace than our governments. Indeed, I think that people want peace so much that one of these days govern
Inability to drink beer is one of the great stumbling blocks for many of my patients with Celiac disease and non-celiac gluten sensitivity. Giving up beer has prevented more than one of my relatives from embacing a gluten-free diet despite evidence they have gluten sensitivity. My physician wife with Celiac disease used to love the beer Fat Tire. After her diagnosis she once purchased a gluten-free beer from Europe called Bard. Though I thought it had a very cool logo we both agreed it tasted like !@#%. Now, we can enjoy a great tasting and gluten-free beer. Though I personally don't like beer that much, Anheuser-Busch's new gluten-free beer Red Bridge I actually like. See my blog www.The Gluten Free Food Report for more personal comments on this beer. Use of sorghum, a grass grain originating in Africa, for alcholic beverages dates back many centuries. However, beer brewed with sorghum usually contains barley malt and therefore is not safe for consumption by those with Celiac disea
I've had a pretty rough week. I feel like I'm whining, but I have to have some kind of outlet for my feelings. I thought my life was the hardest it could be before I went to Brookhaven. I hoped that after leaving the hospital everything would magically be okay. I wanted that to happen so badly. I thought if I made myself believe that everything would okay then it would be. Unfortunately, few things are as simple as we would like them to be.
The truth is that life was pretty simple when I was discharged. I had learned so much and I was so determined to get better. I thought I had finally learned how to fix myself and I didn't even give a second thought to how life would really be. I thought I was making so much progress, but I'm not so sure now. I'm really confused.
There are very stressful things burdening me: I have 6 days to find a house, pack and move; I'm having financial difficulties due to the time I was off work, among other things; and I haven'
I’ve found that it’s sometimes difficult to find good photographers and other photography related content. It just seems that our niche is not as highly publicized as things like marketing, software, or other Internet-related topics. So I decided to try out the StumbleUpon! toolbar to see what it would do for me.
It’s quick to register and install, and you can be stumbling across the Internet in no time at all. The toolbar lets you stumble onto semi-random sites within your categories of choice. I’ve subscribed to several categories including photography, arts, and fine-arts (plus a few others not related to photography). So I tried stumbling just inside the Photography category to see what would pop up. Within 10 or 20 stumbles, I found: several great photographers I hadn’t seen before, lots of great photos, some cool photo contests, and miscellaneous good information. Here are a few of the photographers I came across:

I recently ran across, well, I am not sure exactly what to call it……a toolbar, a utility, a plug-in….but whatever one calls it, it is certainly a lot of fun. “It” is StumbleUpon, which can be found here. The free software inserts into your web-browser as a toolbar and when you click on the “Stumble” button you get transported to a random website. Wait, before you run away in disgust saying that the last thing you need is a visit to a random website.......I haven’t yet told you the best part. The software is customizable so that you can have it search for specific subjects of which, yes, photography is a choice. You can limit the ‘stumbling’ to a single topic or a group of topics. So, if I tell StumbleUpon to limit itself to photography it brings me to random photography related sites. I have found lots of very cool websites that I never would have known about and which I have enjoyed visiting. Sites like this one......really, check it out.Enjoy your stumbl
When I am eighty I will live alone and smoke a pipe and read my news and books as the sun comes up. I will garden and split wood and walk to watch the salmon because there will, of course, be salmon nearby and wood in need of splitting and, I would imagine, we will still have weeds.
When I am eighty I will move slowly and think fast and never have to drive anywhere. I will write poems when the
Alright -- I've got a new web toy. StumbleUpon.com lets you select your interests and randomly view websites. You can then review the site, giving it a "thumbs up" or "thumbs down," tag it, share it, etc. -- all from within Firefox (with the add-on, of course!)It may have been around for awhile, but this is the first I've used it, and I gotta say its quite groovy! If you ever wanna look me up to go stumbling, here's my profile.I love Web 2.0!
