Here’s our round-up of the best tips and tricks for budgeting: 1. Don’t spend more money than you have. 2. Stick to your grocery lists – compile them based on an itemized overview of your household needs and never stray too far from it. 3. In a similar vein, never go grocery shopping hungry! 4. Keep your receipts, or write your own – at the end of each day, list your expenditures. At the end of the month, group those expenditures to create a simple overview of where you’re spending too much or even too little. 5. Pack a brown bag lunch each day. Save hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars each year. 6. Develop a distaste for Starbucks. 7. Talk yourself out of purchases. Ask yourself, do I need this? Think of various ways you can avoid a purchase that s

The high cost of living in today's society, wherever you may be, has made budgeting a priority among families. In today's inflationary world, nothing is more important than knowing how to wisely spend the meager income that you get.
Financial problems usually arise due to lack of proper budgeting skills, or failure to keep to the proposed budget. No matter how much income you may have, it is
Immediately following the disappointing result in New Hampshire, I had begun a post lamenting the fact that Ron Paul didn't get the 3rd place finish that I felt was the minimum he needed in order to generate the buzz of a major upset and go on to be a factor in this year's Republican primaries. My mood was dark. Then I saw this:Be change. It doesn't start anywhere else.

Fevistik is the market leader with over 90 % market share in the Rs 35 crore Glue stick market in India. The brand was the first one to introduce the glue stick product form in the country. This innovation has changed the entire segment. Before the introduction of Fevistik, the glue was in the liquid form. The glue used in the office aswell as at school and home came in the ubiquitous blue glue- bottle. It was messy and non user friendly. Them came the glue in the tube form which was much more user friendly than the bottle version. The tube product form was an instant hit.I was filled with Awe when during my student days ,I got the first glue stick gifted to me by a Gulf Returned relative. The brand was Pritt. I used it scarcely and wondered when an Indian brand will introduce it.Although Fevistik was the
Jermain Defoe is committed to Tottenham, despite a reported bust-up with manager Martin Jol.BBC Sport says Defoe has decided to remain at White Hart Lane and fight for a place in Jol's struggling side. The player's contract runs out at the end of next season and Spurs want him to commit himself to a long-term deal and avoid the prospect of seeing his value drop next summer.Reports claimed the under-fire Jol has told the player he will be forced to play with the reserves if he fails to sign his new contract. But Defoe is keen to concentrate on getting back to playing regularly for the first-team after a frustrating period.
Jimmy Rollins won't be eligible for the Hall of Fame for many years, but Philadelphia Daily News columnist Bill Conlin is already clumsily making the case for his induction:Jimmy's already a lot bigger than Pee WeeNot so fast there, Bill. First of all, "Pee Wee" was actually taller than Jimmy. Reese was 5'9", and Rollins is listed at 5'8". Reese even had 15 pounds on Rollins. And if you're referring to their production, well, just wait and see. They used to be baseball's welterweight division. Legs and leather were their skill set. Lumber was a plus.I assume you're referring to shortstops. Well, lumber was a plus, but some exceptions to the norm still, you know, swung a good deal of it.With extremely rare exceptions, they could bat only leadoff, No. 2 or No. 8. The 2-hole guy usually lacked the foot speed to lead off and often was a second baseman. But he was an expert at taking pitches so the leadoff man could steal second. He also could hit behind a runner or bunt him over. Th
During a performance at the Circus of Horrors at the Edinburgh fringe festival, a dwarf (the politically correct term should be “little person”) with the stage name of “Captain Dan, the Demon Dwarf”, had a little accident when a vacuum cleaner that was supposed to be attached to his dick via a special apparatus broke just before he was scheduled to go on stage.
The show had to go on, and Captain Dan, the Demon Dwarf, devised an ingenious solution to the problem of his broken prop - he super-glued it. But it went horribly wrong when, instead of leaving it to dry for 20 minutes, he slapped on the super-glue for 20 seconds, inserted his dick and went on stage.
Super-glued vacuum cleaner on dick = OUCH!
Not so much the physical pain, but the mental anguish of an embarrassing accident.
The poor guy had to be brought to the A&E at the nearby hospital to have the apparatus removed from his member, much to his relief.
Circus of Horrors indeed!

Another very nice day today for the bulls. And, for me personally, it was a chance to book profits in a couple of swing trades that worked out nicely.First, with earnings due tomorrow and the stock up 5% on the day, I decided to cash out of BGG. It kept rising after I sold so I did leave a few bucks on the table. That said, this is one swing trade about which I should not complain. I bought it on 8/3 for $29.20 on the cross above the MA 200, got a nice EMA 4, 8, 21 crossover on 8/6, and a big gainer today to pull it within my $32 to $33 target. This is the definition of a good, quick gain. Behold:Then I sold RX fror $31.66. This one didn't play out quite as neatly as BGG but still ended up being a decent trade. I bought it on 7/20 off a BOB for $30.25 and was finally able to book a 4.7% gain with today's sale. Not too shabby.I'm betting on a breather for us bulls tomorrow. That being the case, I will begin the day with my highest cash balance in years of 54% and a chunk of QID a
When he came to the Cardinals, he was expected to the the teams savior at QB. Now he is just looking to play out his contract and ride into the sunset. After losing the starting QB job last season to Matt Leinart, Kurt Warner has slowley come to accept his role as a backup quarterback in the National Football League. Not that as a former MVP this is easy, but for Warner, it’s the best way to go out with his head held high.
“That’s what I want to do, play out this contract,” Warner said. “And I think after that, then it will be one of those situations where we (he and his wife, Brenda) sit down and decide what’s best. What’s the situation? Do the Cardinals want me to stay around longer than that? Does that fit into our plans? Do I really want to go somewhere else, move the family?”
Warner will be 37 years old when his contract is up after the 08 season, meaning a starting job or even a backup job in the NFL might be a stretch. S

I'm realizing more and more that swing trading is all about having a defined plan and sticking to it. A good example is my sale of CPTS this morning. I bought CPTS on 7/11 and 7/12 for an average price of $19.44 with an upside target of its 200 day moving average. The stock touched that average this morning so I sold it at $20.12 for a gain of 3.5% (annualized return of 638%). I'm not saying that mine was the only plan someone could have had for this stock. The point is that I had the discipline to stick to my own personal plan for the trade. On average I think taking these small gains and redeploying in a fresh set up is the way to go. We shall see if that's the case over the long haul.Disclaimer: This is not investment advice. Do your own homework before investing in any stock.

Several more talented singers have gone home before him for reasons everyone has tried to figure out (and everyone has a theory on) but few can actually pinpoint, and while he did do better than others on latin week, he has not done well enough to warrant still being in the competition at this point. Senator Joe Biden misses the mark when describing/responding to Senator John McCain’s OpEd of less than a week ago in the Washington Post. While acknowledging (diplomatically) McCain’s argument regarding the consequences of failure in Iraq, but to stick with a “failing policy” is a “mistake.” Senator Biden sees this as lacking reality and that really, “the problem is that for every welcome development, there is an equally or even more unwelcome development that gives lie to the claim that we are making progress.” He then goes on to cite examples, which you can read by visiting the “piece.” The problem I see with Mr. Biden’s logic is that with every action in LIFE, there is an “equally” welcome or unwelcome development to follow; oftentimes not in a singular fashion (if very lucky it will be singular; most times it’s exponentially, but I won’t get into the math of it as I don’t like math). As individuals we face consequences for our decisions and t

HAVANA -- Laura Garcia doesn’t have a car and the change in her pocket won’t cover a 15-cent bus fare. But standing by a crumbling overpass, sweating in her shorts, sunglasses and skimpy top, the 18-year-old says a free ride is only an outstretched thumb away.
”People will take you. You can always find drivers to help,” said Garcia, who studies law in Havana and was going to see her parents in Pinar del Rio, a 90-minute ride west.
Hitchhiking is a way of life in communist Cuba, where cars are scarce, a gallon of gas costs a third of a civil servant’s monthly salary, and public transportation is unreliable and overcrowded. Lately things have worsened, with even acting President Raul Castro admitting in December that public transport was ”practically on the point of collapse.”
Last year, the government announced the purchase of 7,000 buses from China, and hundreds more Chinese buses are said to be on the way since Castro took power from his ailing brother Fidel i
Alan Hansen wasted his precious column inches in today’s telegraph by criticizing Arsene Wenger for ‘disrespecting’ the cup final.
He went on to contradict himself by saying that the competition was not enough on its own for the big four, though that’s beside the point. For starters, Arsenal have reignited the interest in this competition throughout this season. Secondly, Arsene is not out to please you Mr. Hansen, and the rest of the pundits. Yes, of course everyone wants to see Terry vs Henry and Lehmann vs Cech, but why put players with no motivation to win this trophy on the pitch? Those who did play certainly wanted to win it judging by the end. Wenger’s job is to look after number one. What message would it send out if he told Traore and Denilson, ‘Thanks for getting us this far, but the bigger boys can take it from here.’ But Wenger was even bolder with his selection than I expected.
