Yeah, it’s been spring officially for awhile. With all this warm weather lately, it’s almost as if we’ve skipped spring altogether and went straight for summer. Anyway, I noticed on my way in from the bus this morning that we have our firt tulip! I love tulips. They are my second favorite flower, behind daisies. It’s in a bit of a precarious place, appearing to be intertwined with the rose bush that’s planted out front. I took a couple of pics to share.
It’s that time of year. The weather’s warming. The birds are nesting. The garden’s calling.
Cold weather crops are well underway.
Seedlings are put outside for a few hours a day to start hardening.
When they all come back inside, there’s hardly a flat surface free. Time to seriously think about the benefits of a small greenhouse.

Today was a working from home day. This morning was so cold I had to put the heater on as I sat at my desk and my hands turned blue!
When the sun is out it is a pretty nice day. This afternoon turned so warm that I had to turn off the heater and open the window (go figure).

Spring brings in Vegetables in Southern California also. My Cabbage is ready to be harvested, and the small Collard plants are giving way to spring/summer seeding. So, my Fishing is on hold while I get the Summer Corn seeds planted in the hot houses, Watermelon seeds planted along with the Tomatoes, Peppers, the squash plants that are heading up! What did I miss? Oh Yea! Have a good day!!
Spring has Sprung, The Grass has Riz and we have painted our shutters and windows. It looks lovely and fresh and summery. The lupins are up, although I need to do some weeding, it is all looking glorious. I do feel lucky to have this little bit of heaven to call home. And to top it all we are enjoying the most beautiful spring.

We seemed to go directly from Autumn to Spring this year in the Pyrenees and the fruit trees have already started to flower as you can see.
Something of a disasterous year for the ski-ing, at least for us, as we’d have needed to go much farther than usual to find snow. Having said that, we’re incredibly lazy with the ski resorts and don’t look for anything much further than 90 minutes or so drive. If we were a bit more keen, we could have ventured further afield and went to one of the higher altitude resorts though going by the snow on Canigou, they had a much shorter than normal season too At the current rate of going, I don’t think we’ll ever finish off the heating oil that we bought two years ago! We’ve not had that much in the way of wind (usually the thing that really chills things down locally).
Even the river running through the village has never filled up this year and we never had to take the long way round to avoid the flooded bridge. The

The winter blahs are behind us and we suddenly evolve into more social beings as our calendars fill with barbeques, rounds of golf, and social outings with friends.It is the perfect time to wake ourselves up and spread our energy to those around us. According to TMZ, Foxy Brown was released from "Pembroke Pikes Jail†following an overnight stay. Foxy was charged with battery and obstruction of justice, due to a hair glue tossing incident last week; it was alleged that Foxy spit, swore, and sprayed glue at a South Florida shopkeeper.
