Prologue: ‘Say Something Funny’ or Die
In the global world of comedy, “Say something funny” is the ultimate Weapon of Mass Destruction (WMD), claiming more lives and quick-witted tongues than the WMDs stored on temporary U.S. military bases scattered across the sands of Iraq. On the list of top Say Somethings, “Say something funny” holds the second spot, wedged between the frontrunner [...]

Something Positive Happened to me Yesterday (2nd edition)
Yesterday, I started this running thread in an attempt to fish out the positive stories that we encounter daily. Even though there was a lot of good feedback, the comments were still missing the meat of what I was hoping would appear. There has to be something positive that happens to people daily. I can not believe that a person can go through an entire day and not have one positive experience. S

Hawaiian Tropic Bikini Models Are Something To Be Thankful For
Since it’s Thanksgiving, I’m going to take it easy today. If there’s anything worthwhile I may or may not post it. You’ll just have to keep coming back to find out. But while you do that, here are some Miss Hawaiian Tropic Models. They may not be the hottest bunch you’ve ever seen, but they’re in bikinis, so that’s something to be thankful for.

Something Positive Happened to me Yesterday (1st edition)
I have been thinking about doing this for some time now and after the new year, I thought that why not ring in 2009 with a positive attitude. This is a simple process. I am going to write a little blurb each and every morning and then post it hoping to fish out something positive that happened to people the prior day. It can be something simple or something complex. The only key is that it has to

Words of wisdom from a 27-something year old
"Sigh, what would I do without me?""Vanity is sometimes insecurity in disguise""The heart is just a trick organ to mess with the mind's work""Sullen is like grunge wannabe""If you had a mean thought then it's as if you said it. It's like the adultery in the mind thing.""Stating the obvious does not count as wisdom."So, another year’s gone by. I haven’t really focused on the birthday week this

There was something important I had to tell you
I know it was important because I tied this knot. I always tie a knot when I need to remind myself to remember something. I know it has something to do with generic viagra but it's not the obvious - that there is no difference between the generic and the branded viagra. They are bioequivalent. Everyone knows that. Even though the generic sometimes comes as a slightly different shade of blue (or

'KUCHH KARO', DO SOMETHING - PLAGIARISE!
After writing two posts giving details of the bloggers who had plagiarized a number of my previous posts, I thought that those who like what I write would, in future, have the decency to use a paragraph or so in their blogs, acknowledge my authorship and give a link to this blog for the benefit of those who wanted to read further. So as to not permanently embarrass those who had blatantly claimed

Calmness in the Markets, Or Something About November
I don’t think the markets are all that calm right now - the VIX is still hovering around the 60’s - but they are definitely calmer than they were one month ago.  There’s a more long-term uncertainty now, perhaps, rather than a day-to-day disaster feeling, even if the roller coasters in the Dow are still [...]

      Something Minor
At a college with a shady reputation, the new dean responded to investigations into the basketball team by suspending any basketball player who wasn't maintaining a passing average. Furious, the coach came storming into the dean's office, followed by one of his star players."You can't keep him from playing!" the coach roared. "We won't win this weekend without him!""I don't care," the dean said. "

I needed to do something different with my blog, so thought I would start a new Caption Contest. I don't know why, but there's something ... [On The Blogs]
I don't know why, but there's something fantastic about Travis McCoy responding to a fan who thinks his band, the Gym Class Heroes, is a bunch of "sellouts" for touring with Lil Wayne and T-Pain with the retort "you're soooooo Saddle Creek!" Maybe it's the dearth of new insults in 2008? Also, a Lil Wayne and T-Pain tour as a dealbreaker with a band who I have personally seen share a stage with Hin

iPhone 3G and BlackBerry Bold show something for everyone
The iPhone 3G and the BlackBerry Bold show two sides of the smartphone story: the consumer turning pro, and the professional that lets its hair down. Smartphones live and die by their handheld computing applications, and these two handsets show professional and consumer users can get all the essentials on either platform. While the first iPhone had a limited range of applications, the iPhone 3G ha

      Missing something
I was deep in thought this morning...after having nightmares about being late, forgetting my homework, going to the wrong classroom. I have no idea why I keep dreaming of college days. Although, I wasn't even like that in college. I was always on time, always prepared for class. Something though must be nagging me about something I "missed" in college. Something that was beyond me, t
