Gil Magira, a London baker, crumbled abortion pills into his wife's sandwich, cereal and yogurt. Though his wife, Anat Abraham, suffered pain and bleeding, the child was unharmed and survived.Magira admitted to "using an instrument to procure a miscarriage," the first time this charge has been used in 30 years. The prosecuting attorney says Magira had "constant and compulsive thoughts" about causing his wife to miscarry.Abraham said she was terrified for her life and her unborn child's life after realizing what her husband had done.
