A day after Thanksgiving no one is talking turkey, at least not in Hillary's camp. Senator Obama who has been trailing in second place for a long time is, as the cliche goes: "on it". He has been going after Hillary with all he's got.. and yes, it is paying off. Pointing to Clinton's ability to double talk and flip- flop on the issues, Clinton is under enormous pressure to clarify her statements on Iran to taxes, just to name a few. The attack is real and as Obama racks it up, Hillary slips and slides..... and down she goes in the polls. The political landscape wired for disaster shows that in the latest survey conducted in Iowa by ABC/Washington Post, Obama leads by 30%, Hillary 26% and Edwards by 22%. The Iowa and New Hampshire caucuses are just about six weeks away, and there is a shift. Obama now leads the pack. Mitt Romney’s lead has shrunk significantly on average in Iowa do to Huckabee’s strong support among conservatives. Mike Huckabee has been consistently pro-life and is loved in the evangelical community in Iowa. Giuliani who was expected to be the front runner for Republicans is only polling at 13 percent in Iowa. Huckabee’s success is clearly coming at Giuliani’s expense and a poor showing in Iowa could be costly to Rudy. In New Hampshire, Democrats also saw significant changes. Japan has fallen further down the global rankings of equality between women and men, with long working hours and stubborn gender stereotypes seen as to blame.
Despite being the world's second-largest economy, Japan is well known for its "glass ceiling" for female workers, its male-dominated boardrooms and its long working hours which make it hard for women to balance a job and a family.
Japan ranked 91st out of 128 countries in the World Economic Forum's 2007 global gender gap ranking released Thursday, the worst of the Group of Eight major industrialized powers and down sharply from 80th the previous year.
Sweden came top in gender equality followed by other Nordic countries, while Pakistan, Chad and Yemen were at the bottom.
The Philippines fared best out of Asian nations in sixth place.
Japan ranked 94th in terms of political empowerment, with females accounting for only nine percent of lawmakers.

He has been charged with driving a go-kart on public streets and driving with no license. In Germany it is not permitted to drive go-karts down public streets.
Thevissen also said, “He told us he knew driving a go-cart on the street is illegal,” but said that he “had just purchased the vehicle from a friend and said he had no other way of
Everyone wants healthy kids right? Of course we do. I am a father of three sons myself and had no health care when my first son was born and for another two years thereafter. Who would possibly say that health care for children is a bad idea? Of course nobody would. However, when it gets past the feel good about yourself part it always has to come to who will fund it and manage it. Some groups of people want a vast federally controlled bureaucracy to mange it. You can probably guess which party would prefer that. Alternatively, it can be put in place, managed and funded by individual states. And you can most likely guess which party would prefer that as well. Here in California there will be a childrens universal health care bill on the ballot in the next general election. Moreover, I might just vote for it too. Preventive health care is a win win for everyone involved. Nevertheless, the fact is that Democrats do not trust individual states to manage themselves.
