If you take the Skyway a lot, the building on the picture will probably be familiar. Near the landing of the last offramp, a seemingly innocent looking structure makes itself distinct with ornate metal tridents on the corners of its unroofed top floor. I’ve been passing this area for more than half a decade and I’ve always noticed that strips of black cloth are tied to the tridents themselves.
If you peer into the windows of the building, it’s easy to see the many sewing machines inside. It’s probably a garments factory, but why do they have those tridents upstairs? A classmate who belongs to the Opus Dei claimed that she is certain that it is a Satanic Church. That made me curious. (more…)

The UK Treasury had hit back at claims by Ryanair that the recent doubling of APD, being dubbed skyway robbery, is being used as a cover to increase Government tax take. The Treasury asserts that the cash generated will be used wisely and will secure extra spending for such priorities such as public transport and the environment. What I would have liked to hear is a clear statement that all the additional revenue will be used for projects relating to the environment. The current statement is so vague and could cover spending a only a small percentage of the increased revenue on environmental priorities.
