First Supreme creates child friendly crossovers, now they are stepping forward and making a little collaboration that is risky by comparison. Supreme is going to collaborate with photographer Marilyn Minter. Minter's work is inspired by the pornographic industry, and these decks aren't as hardcore as the subject matters they are inspired by. Supreme is doing a nice job of staying in the loop of culture, not just putting out childish graphics, but making a good use of art and skateboarding.

I'm big fan of skateboarding artwork, and the recent decks available from the brand Skate All Cities, blow away a lot of competitors with "graffiti" styled graphics. Check out more information about these online at the official Skate All Cities website.

Zero Skateboards is one of my personal favorite skateboarding companies. I've ridden four of their decks in the past, and none of them broke on me, they all maintained their pop, and were well worth the cost. I enjoyed my time with those decks, and even though some of the confederate flags weren't exactly so well received in my small Los Angeles city, things were looking alright. I don't know about you, but these graphics are amazing. Considering the trend that is going on in skateboard graphics right now, Zero skateboards is doing something incredible. I'm definitely going to be picking up one of these decks, and maybe a couple more for the wall. Heroin skateboards is celebrating 10 years of skateboarding goodness by releasing some awesome new skateboards, designed by a select few designers. All industry types, no nonsense, and pretty cool. I remember as a teenager, bored in school, I would make skateboards out of paper, cardboard, or anything I could find lying around, and I would skate like crazy, while at my desk. This of course was before the tech deck revolution that has enveloped younger generations of skateboarders. Well, looks like I'm not the only one that has fond memories of fooling around in school, because over at papercraftparadise.blogspot.com they have a post today about the subject; paper skateboards! They are light, but not necessarily durable, but they look a lot better than the beasts that I was making as a youngster. Check it out here.

Apparently there is a company out there that is dedicated to making high end skateboards by hand. That means mexican labor, but skateboards made without the use of chinese immigrants pushing buttons and sanding them down, then silk screening them in massive amounts. Sometimes you spot the neatest or weirdest things when you're teaching English in Korea. It could be a box cutters for kids, clumped up Pepero sticks, and middle school stress. I've been waiting to post the following videos of the latest fad (maybe it's old school now) that was hitting up my classrooms. What am I talking about? None other than "finger skateboards"!I had so many kids bring these things into class. Just a regular skateboard that could be manipulated by your index and middle finger. You’ll find a lot of fun facts on their website like it only takes 5 years for a bamboo stalk to grow to a mature stage, while it takes a maple tree about 100 years. Balancing One-Wheeled Scooter Link “It’s very similar to a snowboard to ride, requiring no user input other than the movement of your body mass. I still remember being impressed when on a long bike tour I met a guy heading the other way on a scooter, bag over his shoulder, headed 200 miles south to San Francisco.
