I am hurt - deeply hurt ! And you know why? Well, we have been talking about racism, a lot these days. But if you yourself are a racist then does it really make sense if you shout on racism. We've been talking on racism everywhere around the world. We've been shouting on it like anything these days. We find it very easy to call anyone as racist. In fact, we take pride in calling anyone as
As I was sitting here typing my previous entry and sipping my coffee I realized that one of my friends from Canada is currently on vacation here in the USA. I need to drop her an email just in case she happens to check email while she is here. I'd love to meet up with her, but alas, I'm in the heartland of America and she, lucky duck, is in Florida!
Yes, she and her family on enjoying an
So posting this week will probably not be as prolific as I'd like; I'm still adjusting to being back at Sbucks. Loving it, but that means a lot less time on the computer, and since I can't skimp on my photo editing time, I have to cut on the blogging. Tres sad. Anyway, if you've ever commented and left your blog address, I'm probably reading your blog, and loving it. But I know there are a lot mo
Twist and Shout…this is the song in my head today… I’ve made a blog plan and part of my blog plan includes what I’ve decided to call Sunday Morning Free Verse. Every Sunday I will write the events of the past week as soon as I wake up or shortly thereafter. I’m going to write whatever pops into my semi- conscious mind at the beginning of the day. Although you can do this any time of the

I wanted to give a quick show of support for my alma mater, Belmont University, which just hosted the most recent presidential debates. Ever since our new Curb Events Center was built a few years ago, the vision was always to host one of the presidential debates. It's been more than 4 years since I've been back on campus and even though I'm still paying for my degree, but I'm as proud

Tukar link memang penting. Day 2 of celebrating JDYesterday afternoon many people came out to toast JD, share stories and sing some of his favorite karaoke songs at the Pier Lounge. It was nice to hear how JD touched peoples lives and how much he was loved and respected here in San Pedro.Today the sun was shining and it was a perfect day for the second ceremony for JD. I took my blogroll down a while back because it was getting totally out of hand. I hated maintaining it, and it was getting too long to do anyone any good (that's what she said). But now my guilt has gotten the better of me, so I've decided to put an abbreviated blogroll back up in an effort to balance out the karmic linky something something. Do the words "raw food" take your mind back to the 70's, where raw salads with white cabbage, raisins and carrots were the main ingredients with a good portion of garlic as the only flavour enhancer? Well if you haven't tried the new trends - you and your taste buds are in for a surprise. The idea behind raw food is not only that raw is good - it must also taste good and look appetizing. I had my second volleyball session of the week on Thursday. I don’t know is this a technical problem or they really removed the Captcha from share/shout box. Below

My brother has been active in the military since he was 17 years old. Honestly, his heart has been there since he was about 6. From the age of 9 on up you would find him in camouflage every moment he wasn't in school clothes or church clothes. Christmas, Birthdays and any other gift-giving appropriate holiday would find him asking for more 'army men' in which he would built huge war scenes

I've been shout-neutered, folks, and it ain't cool.
Let me explain. Yesterday I submitted a story to Digg. I didn't expect it to get on the home page, but I had an "Oh well, what the hell" mentality about it. My plan was to do the usual--shout it once and call it a day. After I submit a link to Digg, I typically shout the story to my friends in about three waves. You can only send a sh

Shout Boxes are quite a popular widget that people put on their web site or
blog. It gives peoples a very easy way to interact with each other.
In case you don’t know what shout box is, you can think of it as a chat
script that you can put on a part of an existing web page. People can leave
their messages (usually short) there and can interact with each other and with
the webmaster. One special feature is that anybody can leave their message without
any registrations. That’s why it’s the perfect way to interact with
your visitors and let the visitors interact with each other.
Designing a simple shout box script is actually not difficult. In this post
we’re going to design one.
A shout box usually needs the user to fill name (optional), URL (opt

This isn’t going to be a vote for or against the war we find ourselves in over in Iraq, instead I want to show my gratitude for the people over there who are sacrificing everything for this country. I want them to know that I think about them a whole lot, and that they are doing a very admirable job - protecting this country - our beloved United States of America. What greater love can a man or woman have than to lay down his or her life for his brother. Many of you soldiers are coming back to America, your home, in an impaired condition. Some of you aren’t returning at all. I think of your courage and love for America - you all make me proud to be in America - the greatest country of all. Soldiers, know that most people in America and elsewhere see as I do. Let not the word Vietnam s
This was brought to my attention at Symphony of Scripture since I don’t have a television set, much less cable.
I wonder who they are referring to when they replaced “Jesus” with “Shepherd” and called that shepherd “Lord” and “Savior”, amongst other things.

I can’t believe my DVR cut off the end of American Idol last night. They sang one of my favorite worship choruses. I get emotional whenever I sing/hear it. The contestants did a beautiful job with the arrangement!

Can I just say WOW?!! In case you missed it, the remaining Idol contestants just performed an encore of "Shout to the Lord" (from last night) and this time got it right! Rather than sing the politically corrected version from last night ("My Shepherd, My Savior"), they belted out "My Jesus, My Savior, Lord there is none like You...Can I get an AMEN?
Umm. I think this is one of the strangest things that I have seen in a long time [hat tip Blake].
And this is definitely the strangest song choice in American Idol history.
I don't even know what to say about it.

I know there will be plenty of other bloggers who focus on other substantial highlights from American Idol (America Gives Back segment) that aired last night. There was of course, the Miley Cyrus appearance and the cute banter segment with Billy Crystal, that adorably-cute-I-just-wanna-hug-her, Carrie Underwood, not to mention, the amazing documentaries that remind us how very blessed we are...not to mention, our responsibility to help those who are less fortunate. However, I want to give a standing ovation for the goose-bump moment at the end of the show when the contestants gathered on stage and sang, "Shout to the Lord" accompanied by a church choir singing behind them. Oh. my. goodness. My jaw dropped to the ground. I absolutely LOVE that song and I don't care how old it is, it will al
Sometimes an album sounds fun on first listen, and then repeated plays reveal a previously hidden ripe underbelly of symphonic treats and aural pleasures. ‘Our Ill Wills’ doesn’t. It’s rather nice, but there are puddles with more depth. The darling harmonies and summery arrangements that typified debut album ‘Howl Howl Gaff Gaff’ are present and correct, as is the endearing lyrical optimism and naivety. Shout Out Louds know about heartache, romance, that indistinguishable period between the two, plus the bit before and the time after. And they’ll be damned if they are going to write a song about anything else.Just in case the band weren’t twee enough, they rope in Bjorn again – the Peter, Bjorn and John member and long-time Shout Out Louds producer, not the Abba tribute

Ecco i video di "Tonight I Have To Leave It" e "Impossible", rispettivamente primo e secondo singolo estratti dall'album "Our Ill Wills" degli Shout Out Louds.
