Well sir, I have never been accused of being terribly smart and politicaly astue, so here I go jumping from the frying pan into the fire on a subject that some have said in the forums is a dead horse and beaten to death. But there is more to the tire pressure story than just [...]
In this life we all experience times of challenge. . .
Some of us carry in our DNA a propensity to develop episodes of major depression that is most often triggered by prolonged stressful events. Such individuals cannot always control how things happen to them but they must realize that they are in full control of the response to a situation. There are always things one can do to battle the
Going away on yet another business trip from 20-24 July. This time however, I shall take the chance to have a gathering at KL with my fellow figure collector friends.
More updates shall come after I am back!
I was going through the book of Isaiah and in chapter 3 something struck me as it relates to our current political climate. Before you all think I’ve joined the Ron Weinland nuthouse or otherwise gone off the deep end. I’m not attempting to specifically apply this section of scripture to the present presidential election. In fact it quite obviously has a different application. It simply highli
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes." There will come one day a personal and direct touch from God when every tear and perplexity, every oppression and distress, every suffering and pain, and wrong and justice will have a complete and ample and overwhelming explanation. The All Black's loss to the Springboks on Saturday night has led us to thinking about the state of rugby around the world. And, most importantly, the need to grow the game at a higher level.Although the loss was hard to bare, we love the fact that it was a tight Test that could have gone either way, right down to the last minute - and we think it's healthy for the game that we love so much.Rugby

You harbor resentment
You know there ain't too much of a thrill
You wish for contentment
But you got an emptiness that can't be filled
You've had enough hatred
Your bones are breaking (and you) can't find nothing sacred, (but)

The dead will arise and burst out of your cloths

MTV reports that Pierce Brosnan and Nicolas Cage will star in director/child molester/rapist Roman Polanski's political thriller The Ghost. The film, based on Robert Harris' novel of the same name, centers on a ghostwriter who is hired to complete the memoirs of a former British prime minister. He uncovers secrets that put his own life in jeopardy.Brosnan would play the prime minister, Adam Lang,

On Saturday the Independent included several extracts from a new book We Will Be Heard by Bud and Ruth Schultz about Americans who have stood up to their government in the name of civil rights, from the First World War to the present day.

Okay, so the ninth commandment states that you shall not covet your neighbor's wife. Pretty simple, if she's married, do not make an attempt to brake the sacred bond of marriage. At least that is what I would consider those words to mean in today's society. Apparently that is not so. If I were to look at a married woman with lust in my eye I have already committed adultery. Holy shit. That's

This morning, while praying over the Scriptures, I was told to read Micah Chapter 3 and especially verse 5. At the same time, my mother was given the very same Word of Knowledge:"And I said: Hear, you leaders of Jacob, rulers of the house of Israel! Is it not your duty to know what is right, you who hate what is good, and love evil? You who tear their skin from them, and their flesh from their bon

After being a judge on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Urmila Matondkar has moved "one step ahead" and shall be hosting Sony’s new reality show, Waar Parriwar - Sangeet Ka Naya Gharana. The show was launched at RK Studios in Mumbai on April 21. Lavish sets designed by Omung Kumar welcomed us as we went in. Urmila came in almost two hours late, but brought in cheer as soon as she did. Dressed in a blue denim dress with red shoes, she looked as young as ever. The actress is upbeat about hosting Waar Parriwar. "I have enjoyed music since I can remember. I was also excited about this show because it belongs to Gajendrra Siingh," said Urmila. Urmila was of the opinion that the "best part about hosting a reality show is to be able to communicate and build up a rapport with pe

Shall I Lease Or Shall I Buy Now?My 1998 Mazda passed 200,000 miles last Friday.I’m now debating my options. While the car continues to work, issues with the suspension are making me nervous. Even my spouse, who originally owned the car, can feel the difference, and we both agree that the costs to fix it would be like throwing a bandaid over an artery puncture. So I’m considering, for the first time in my life, about leasing my next car. I’ve always known about them; who hasn’t been bombarded by those oh-so-tempting $199 a month deals to drive a high-end luxury car for 24 or 36 months? But reality, in the form of driving between 20,000 to 25,000 miles yearly, has dismissed any serious notion. But the location of my new job puts most lease deals within reach. 12,000 miles a year? You can certainly win provided you are ready for the hour of the striking moment of happiness that you waited for; though at times you will have to make provisions for your graceful defeats as well, knowing fully that it is but natural and part of life. Tell me who has not lost a war or tell me who has not won a heart? I know, it is not you in most probability! But I must confide in you that it is me who never won a war or a heart. However, I always make it a point to wear a brave face and exude a rare manufactured confidence adequately stinking with the fragrance of deceptive triumph. I have discovered that it really works and people fall for it taking me for granted at the spur of the moment. To remain ever successful and victorious I to create enthusiasm around me, I prefer to distribut

One just has to believe that the Clinton campaign cringes every time the topic of pardons gets anywhere near a conversation, much less a debate. But these are desperate times and the end-game might be closer than many desire. The Wall Street Journal summarizes a portion of tonight's debate in the following manner:When the debate turned to Sen. Obama's association with William Ayers, a former member of the violent Weather Underground group, Sen. Obama pointed to the question as an example of pointless distractions, which he said were a "game in which anybody who I know regardless of how flimsy the relationship is, somehowtheir ideas can be attributed to me."But Sen. Clinton didn't let up. While she called her rival a "good man," she used the example to raise doubts about other vulnerabiliti

The shopping street was bursting at the seams with shoppers. They were undeterred by the intense heat of the Sun at it's best. The footpaths were occupied by hawkers selling everything from film star posters which gleamed due to their lamination and perhaps because they carried the image of current box office stars, to ropes and strings which could have as varied uses as hanging clothes to keeping pajamas in place. Jostling for pace among them were standee vendors selling lip smacking channa chor, cool cucumbers, delicious nariyal pani and even cubes of sugarcane. Crowd of shoppers congregated around these guys seeking respite, not from the sun, but from the non-stop shopping. Everyone had at least two bags hanging from their hands. It is amazing and paradoxical at the same time…this ine

One columnist wrote:“The cross should not be raised in the sky of Qatar, nor should bells toll in Doha."Other prominent Muslims in the country support the opening of the church. The former Dean of the Islamic university, Abdul Hamid al-Ansari, is one of those who supports the building of the church, believing that religious tolerance and the right to worship is a part of Islam."Having places of worship for various religions is a fundamental huma

In our Lord's mind any created thing which fails in making anything of its purpose is contemptible. Jesus' attitude to Roman and Grecian civilization was one of superb contempt. Our attitude to Greece and Rome is one of un-bonneted reverence, with not so much as the cast of an eye for Jesus Christ. Our Lord followed life from His Father's standpoint, today we are caught up in the shows of things. Take the Bible attitude to men on the whole, civilizations are despatched at a minute's notice, armies come together and annihilate one another and God seems to pay no attention. His attitude is one which makes us blaspheme and say that He does not care an atom for human beings. Jesus Christ says He does, He says He is a Father, and that He, Jesus, is exactly like His Father. Th

Fair Trade Sugar Cartoon.
It's been a strange start to the year. Weeks have passed by without any cartoons being drawn to speak of. Don't know why, but I'm guessing it's something to do with allowing other, less interesting things take over my life. Housework, Paid Work, Eating and Making/building flat pack furniture. Some sleep was also involved, but that appears to be given as little consideration to the production of cartoons. I still watch the news, and think "that would make a great cartoon", but somehow I never manage to actually pick up my pens and draw.
I suppose I'm just incredibly unmotivated right now, and it's hard to get beyond that. On top of the usual pathetic excuses (for that's what they are) I've also been suffering from several bouts of life threatening 'man flu', which

South African cellular subscribers that access email and the Internet using 3G while roaming abroad are often confronted by outrageous bills when they return. In some cases, customers are coming home to bills in the tens of thousands of Rands after making modest use of cellular data services in the US, Europe and Asia.Says Mark Taylor, managing director of independent telecommunications service provider, Nashua Mobile: "Many of our customers face ‘bill shock’ when they come home after spending a couple of weeks overseas on business or holiday. Much to their surprise, they land up with a cellular data bill several times more expensive than their flights and accommodation."For example, MTN and Vodacom customers who were paying R15 - R25 per MB to roam on one of the French networks less t

The serene sea in the background belies the fierce battle that occurred here in the town of Palo, province of Leyte in the Philippines from October 22 to 26, 1944. The Battle of Leyte Gulf is generally considered the largest naval battle of World War II and, by some criteria, the largest naval battle in history. The numbers prove it. Between the United States and the Imperial Forces of Japan, the following weapons of war were involved: nine large aircraft carriers, 27 small carriers, almost 1,900 aircrafts, 21 battleships, 44 cruisers and 175 destroyers. Also called the Leyte Landing, it was the realization of Supreme Allied Commander of the Pacific Forces General Douglas McArthur's promise of "I Shall Return" to liberate the Philippines from four years of Japanese occupation. The event us

Well we're in the final stretch before Christmas, and I still have a ton of things left to do. It really is the latest I have ever been prepared, and I'm overwhelmed, which is leading to procrastination which is leading to me not doing anything. So, let's recap what I said last week - I have 12,000 to-do lists and haven't done even a quarter of them. So, I'm officially making a list right here so that I can get something done this week. I'm making a small list to avoid more procrastination :)1. Get Christmas cards for my mom (yeah, can you believe I forgot my mom??), Deidre, Karyn, and Millie2. Get Gails address to mail out her card3. Write 116 articles by Sunday (Yeah, I'm serious)4. Go shopping (see #3 for why I haven't shopped yet - no cash since I haven't been writing)5. Plan out menu for small party this weekend (any suggestions of good party foods?)6. Buy a pair of shoes for Matthew for his Christmas choir program on WednesdayI think that's it - that isn't so bad right
How can you not love an article that uses the words “hippie,” “crap,” “juggernaut,” and “gizmo?”  We’ve long been a fan of Annalee and demand that you read her article about her wishes for the holidays and go buy her a Wii when you pick up your own.
Best part of the article:
“Do you hear that, hippies? I want to strap electronics to my body and trance out to violent imagery while I wave my arms around, killing imaginary things. That's what I want to do for the holidays.”

The House of Representatives passed this important piece of legislation: HR847 Recognizing the Importance of Christmas and the Christian Faith. East Tennessee's jolly old Saint Davis was one of the sponsors. This is just weird. After a bunch of Whereas clauses, they came up with this: Resolved, That the House of Representatives--(1) recognizes the Christian faith as one of the great religions of the world;(2) expresses continued support for Christians in the United States and worldwide;(3) acknowledges the international religious and historical importance of Christmas and the Christian faith;(4) acknowledges and supports the role played by Christians and Christianity in the founding of the United States and in the formation of the western civilization;(5) rejects bigotry and persecution directed against Christians, both in the United States and worldwide; and(6) expresses its deepest respect to American Christians and Christians throughout the world. Here is my Christmas present

The NEFA Foundation has obtained and translated a copy of a new communique from the Al-Fajr Media Center--Al-Qaida's official online logistical network--titled, "We'll Do It Again: Annapolis Shall Not Rescue Their Metropolis, Written by a Soldier in the Army Aiming to Destroy Their Metropolis." The statement condemned the upcoming Israeli-Palestinian peace talks in Annapolis, Maryland, as a bid to "declare war against the Muslims and to cleanse the desire for jihad from each and every believer."...(read more)
By now you should understand that my core trading strategy revolves around the daily biggest % gainers (all conveniently listed at Yahoo! Finance). This kind of price action ensures that my prey, whether it be smallcap, microcap, whatever, will be liquid and volatile, aka ideal for trading. The trick is determining which stocks will continue spiking and which ones won’t. Here my take on 4 of Friday’s spike

The title of Electric Six’s new album wields one of the most impressive names I’ve ever come across. I Shall Exterminate Everything Around Me That Restricts Me From Being The Master(or ISEEAMTRMFBTM as I shall fondly refer to it), is a fantastic ride on an intense electro-rock train. The genre its listed as rock but after tasting the first three songs of the album its easy to tell that to call call this a rock album is clearly a restricting mislabel. In the tunes they play the Electric Six exhibit elements of techno, electric, garage, and punk. The ISEEAMTRMFBTM album contains a listing of sixteen tracks all of which have names that closely rival the curiosity of the album name. Highlights and my favorite tracks are listed below in bold text.
“It’s Showtime!” 1:53
“Down at McDonnellzzzzz” 4:01
“Dance Pattern” 3:41
“Rip It!” 3:37
“Feed My Fuckin’ Habit” 2:11

It is said that if you unconditionally give from the heart you will receive back tenfold what you have given. I have experienced this is indeed true. Here are some reflections about this subject:I am a 'weeder' which means I'm constantly going through stuff in our home determining if it's useful or just sitting there taking up space and could well find another happier home. I always feel good when I de-clutter!Just this past week, we gave away two chairs and a beautiful wooden easel to others who could better use them. Now I know very well that I didn't give these items away just to get more STUFF back, but simply because these items were NEEDED by others more than us.However, here's the rub. It's as inevitable as the sun rising in the morning that we will now beginning receiving other stuff/items in return. This always happens! As soon as we give, a vacuum is created which allows more stuff to come in to fill this empty space. It's simply amazing to watch this law of the unive
Elijah. Is. Into. EVERYTHING. He's such an inquisitive little boy. He has to touch everything he sees, and after examining it awhile.... He eats it. Whatever IT may be.Like crayons for example...What you don't see in this picture is that his mouth is full of black crayon goo.And also...A little glimpse into what raising boys looks like in my house...The scene: Mom asks the boys to do the dishes...The boys huddled around the dishwasher. And then....http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h305/tmndsrhjhn_photos/6.jpg
How shall I respond if you ask me,
What are you?
Do you believe in God?
If not, What do you believe in?
Don’t you believe in anything?
Shall I make a list and carry it around
Lest you judge me for not having any beliefs?
“Judge not, that ye be not judged”
I wonder who said that?
Oh yeah, It was the same guy who judged
Those who didn’t like his preaching and said:
“Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers,
How can ye escape the damnation of hell.”
How civilized. How tolerant.
What a gentleman.
I shall respond civilized.
I shall respond with tolerance.
I shall rise above the fear, which controls you,
The fear, which holds you prisoner and,
I shall proudly say:
I am a Humanist, a Free Thinker
A Naturalist, a Skeptic
A Secularist, a Scientist at heart,
An Agnostic, a Nontheist
A Rationalist, an Empiricist, and a Positivist.
And Last I am an Atheist.
“For I am a destroyer of Gods
In a world of Demons,
A giver of hope to those who know not,
For I am Huma

That’s the message women are flashing on their cell phones with a popular program designed to ward off wandering hands in Japan’s congested commuter trains.
Living in a city as large as Tokyo there’s bound to be a few scruffy individuals after a cheap feel. Just for the record, Greater Tokyo has about 35 million people, more than the entire population of Canada.
When i first came to Japan in 2002 i noticed signs on the subways depicting 3 things … all illustrated by cartoon; no fighting, no setting the seats on fire and no putting your hand up a school girls dress. Needless to say each picture was as funny as the next, well the picture, not necessarily the issue at hand … pardon the pun.
Fast forward 5 years and the signs are gone but the problems still remain. There`s women only carriages on certain lines between certain hours and there`s well known lines that have the most issues, especially in the area of wandering hands.

Did you know that there are at least 25 Fertility Deities? Here I am thinking of the obvious ones like Aphrodite and Venus, but upon Googling I found one for every nationality, religion, and ethic background. My choices for Halloween are now endless. lol.Come on, anything to increase my odds. You know I am game.Well, now that the hCG drama has reached an end, we are moving forward. I have a consult with my RE this afternoon regarding next steps. On my mind at present, when this current light AF will end (I'm on Day 10), and is it still considered the last of the miscarriage or if it does count as the start of a new cycle.Hopefully, my body has not forgotten how to get back in gear.... it HAS been 6 months since my last cycle. And, of course, the topic of medical insurance and how much I'm going to have to ante up that insurance won't pay for. For all of my readers/friends who have BTDT, I will probably have some questions for you all when I get there. I get the feeling that my RE's
