The Roots can't seem to sit still, as the group is set to once again go out on tour in support of their latest LP, "Rising Down". The album scheduled to hit stores on April 29 is on Def Jam's label and will be the Philly collective's 10Th full length offering. The follow-up to 2006's Grammy-nominated set "Game Theory", "Rising Down" will include the single "Birthday Girl" featuring Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy and will also include the songs "75 Bars" and "Get Busy," which have already been leaked to the Internet. I love the way artist can intertwine their sounds and make good music. Last year, some of the facts on my Peever ancestry in Ireland were incorrect. My grandfather, Lindsay Peever was born in Pembroke, Canada around 1900. My greatgrandfather, James Peever was born in Poulawaddra in 1866 near Tralelee, Ireland. I would like to thank Kevin (Peever?) for that information.The above picture is the old Peever homestead which is still standing in Poulawaddra.My mother and I were both born in Pembroke, Ontario. It is a scenic small city on the Ottawa River about 90 miles from Ottawa. I spent many a summer at my grandfather's cottage fishing, swimming and having fun. I was lucky to have such a wonderful childhood connected with the great outdoors. Many children never get that chance.I grew up in Barrie, Ontario and both my

On the message board of their OkayPlayer website, ?uestlove has unveiled the cover to Rising Down, the upcoming album from his group The Roots. The cover, which can be seen [click to view], is a drawing entitled “NEGRO RULE.” The picture shows a black monster figure with wings hovering over a hoard of running white people. "[The drawing] pretty much sums up the feeling of the Confederate Union towards the newly freed slaves and the idea that if given power they would [wreak] havoc and chaos on the country,” ?uest wrote. “Somehow in watching this election one can't help but wonder if those unspoken feelings…reflect the looming figure of the old figureheads of Washington now?”source
