On August 13th a man robbed a Subway at gunpoint, and while doing so told the clerk, “Sorry, I have to do this.” Well, one week later the man robbed the same Subway for more money and again apologized to the clerk for having to rob him. The robber turned out to be 28 year old Michael Monseglio, who was spotted by Vernon police officers and arrested. The man received $600 for the first robbery and told the clerk to clean out the cash register during the second robbery. Both times the man apologized and thanked the clerk after getting the money. After a search of his car police not only found the cash that the man took from Subway, but they also found a mask, tire iron, heroin and other drug paraphernalia. I just wish that the report would have said why the man kept apologizing to the clerk after robbing him at gunpoint!!
