I'm not sure if you all remember my saying so but I am a technical trainer. Have been for many years now and I love it. Renowned motoring expert Quentin Willson recently had one of Paramount’s ‘plug and play’ economy devices fitted to his own Turbo Diesel Range Rover and declared the reduction in fuel consumption from 23mpg to 31 mpg as ’fantastic’. When he repeated the accolade to the viewers of ITV’s Tonight programme on Monday June 30, it sent Paramount’s phone ringing o
Photo: Scarlatti2004 It’s 28 years today since my one and only wedding. The marriage hasn’t lasted all those years but we’re still friends and I don’t regret having married him. Although wedding back in the 70s weren’t anywhere near as expensive or lavish as they are these days, they were still big events where the bride’s parents were expected put on a good show. I, however, wanted t
Greetings from a laptop that smells like hot, salty olives! My laptop is prone to get hot (the keys get pretty uncomfortable actually) even though it does have a working fan. So the heat mixed with last nights olive spill is an interesting combination. Should I pour some strong, fresh brewed coffee on there to counter act it? LOL.

Menopause is a point in a woman's life when she stops menstruating for a full year and this can be overwrought with many symptoms, some bearable and some discomforting. Menopause symptoms like mood swings, loss of libido, extreme fatigue, hot flashes and weight gain are a cause of concern for most women. However, less common symptoms like Tinnitus- ringing or buzzing in the ear- change of body color and sometimes a sensation akin to electric shock under the skin may be worrisome.Medical opinions associate Tinnitus with menopause. According to many studies, this ringing in the ears is a physical condition that can take place due to other reasons as well. Medicines like Prozac and regular aspirin may cause Tinnitus and research is underway to establish the role these medications play in c
I ran across this site tonight (literally Stumbled, using StumbleUpon) where it talks about "Catabolic" foods - or foods that require more energy to metabolize then they contain. Somehow I'm not believing this to be true, but I can't quite figure out why, other than that tingling "spidey-sense" of false promises...
Here's the site:
So my question is for our Resident Dietitian(s): Is this based in any real science at all? Do we actually know how much energy it takes to metabolize something, for everyone universally? Do you burn more calories with, or without the snake oil?
Is snake oil a catabolic food? Is buying a timeshare in a Florida swamp going to help me burn more catabolically? :)
To me, its a common sense thing, which says that if I were to eat nothing but "catabolic" (negative

ONE key trait of entrepreneurs is to see opportunity in a crisis. When a company gets into financial trouble, it can make a typical employee quit in fear and find safety in another job. Then there are others, who will stick with the company and let events dictate to them. There are only a few who will use the chance to turn entrepreneurs. Ashis Nain is one of those who avoided the risk of job loss to embrace the risk of their own start-up.At the age of 36, Mr Nain was otherwise happy as the chief operating officer of Elbee Services, the express logistics company that was only second to Blue Dart. But Elbee Services was in trouble as its foray into air cargo was struggling to cope with the business impact of some air crashes. Losses suffered as of March 2000 were close to Rs 36 crore. “Th
15 Amarante in Laguna Niguel is a single-family residence in Marina Hills that came up for sale a couple weeks ago with an asking price of $599,000.The owners' situation is sketchy at best. Zillow shows this property sold for $810,000 in 2005, but it has also been on the market as a rental, first in September 2006 with a monthly asking price of $2,650, and again in October 2007 with a monthly asking price of $2,600.We're not sure exactly what the house did end up being rented out for in the past, but there is no rational way the rent could even approach covering the mortgage, so it is possible the owner was banking on rapid appreciation to bail them out of a bad investment. If you're curious, the investor-friendly 120 GRM estimate has this place valued at $312,000 - assuming a rental rate
Wedding bells will not be ringing for Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif this year as the actress have switched busy focusing on her career that has taken off in a big way.Speaking on the topic of wedding, Katrina said that she has 6 sisters and a brother, and her aim is to get them settled in life before she even plans her wedding. In a jab at today’s music industry and its lack of bankable talents, a recent article noted how Frank Sinatra’s renditions, many of them from the 1950’s and 1960’s, keep ringing cash registers while sales of new musical acts are making a thud. Sinatra isn’t “back.” He, like many other quality contributors, never [...]

CENTURY 21 Key Realty agents will be ringing the Salvation Army bell at Wiregrass Commons Mall at the Piccadilly entrance this Friday, December 14, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Stop by and say HI! Just so you know, there will not be any snow as seen in this photo. In fact, it looks like the gloves and cap will be unneccesary as well.
The Dothan Association of REALTORS is almost always the number one not-for-profit organization when it comes to money raised during Christmas Bell Ringing, and we at CENTURY 21 Key Realty are happy to play a role in this effort. Kudos to all the other real estate offices in the Dothan area that participate!
We also finished up our shopping this week for our Angel Tree kids this week. A special thanks to Keshia Nix for taking the reins on this effort!

Sunday mornings are usually devoted to a bit of contemplation and reflection about the passing week. That has always been some kind of a ritual, allowing me some kind of comfort and refuge to handle the week ahead.
The past three weeks have been academically trying. Late-nights with around less than 4 hours of sleep every day are all very normal. And the December weather together with my long, long breaks only add up to more moments left for added contemplation, reflection and maybe come academic condemnation.
I wonder what’s in the December air that everyone seems to be succumbing to their emo-ridden selves. Lately, I’ve been hanging out with my blockmates and we usually end up discussing life’s trivial questions – what ifs, what nots, the all-too complicated matters of the heart (thank you Scott Peck). I really don’t mind. In a way, there is a sense of relief, thrill, and comfort derived from appeasing my blockmates’ feelings. I also get th
Ringing in the ear (tinnitus) Ear infection Hearing loss The ear we see attached to the side of the head is only part of the wonderful mechanism that allows us to hear the world around us. The sounds of the birds chirping, water rushing downstream, and the breeze gently moving through the trees are made possible by the interaction of sound vibrations, liquid vibrations, and electrical impulses. These sounds enter the outer ear, that is, the structure that you and I know as our ears. These vibrations place pressure on the ear drum which is inside the middle ear. There are some small bones inside this middle portion of the ear, named the hammer, anvil, and stirrup. They conduct the vibrations from outside the ear to the ear drum and increase the intensity by seventeen times. Farther in the ear, there is the cochlea which looks like a small snail shell and acts to receive sound vibrations. Vibration continues to travel by passing through the liquid contained in the snail shell, like the mo

A not unfamiliar feeling but unfamiliar circumstances led to three points and entering the international break at the peak of the Premier League. RvP’s late winner showed a mental resilience that the team have developed through their growing maturity, dropping a two goal lead will be something that will probably concern Arsene more than anything over the coming days. It is hard to say what brought about the lapses; was it tiredness, complacency or a mixture of both? Whatever it was, the warning received today will, hopefully, not be easily forgotten.
Both goals were disappointing to concede. Clichy was caught on the backfoot for the first, the ball travelling a long way to reach Jones behind him. From there on, it was a catalogue of misfortune, poor timing and poor positioning.
With the slowdown in new mortgage originations, many Traveling Professional Notaries are wondering and guessing as to what will happen to the business they worked so hard to develop during the refi boom. It was quite crude to get business back then, you just called your local mortgage originator say “Hi” and ask without [...]
Could Microsoft have possibly known in advance of Halo 3’s apparent ability to route out Xbox consoles on the verge of hardware failure causing them to commit hara-kiri when they acted to extend Xbox warranties (at an envisaged cost of $1.5 billion) recently – who can tell, but what’s not in doubt is the fact that Halo 3’s demands on the console are becoming increasingly apparent with numerous forum posts reporting machines red-ringing only minutes into playing the game.
Coincidence, perhaps, though it’s also interesting to note that, just this week, the new Xbox 360 ‘Falcon’ was reported on widely in the techie-sphere on account of it utilising newly revised 65nm production core and graphics processors that just happen to run cooler thus minimising the risk of red-ringing caused by consoles overheating (something we’ve experienced at first hand).
And, surely it just also happens to be pure coincidence that one of the first consoles to show up with the new, cooler runn

Sources tell PerezHilton.com that Desperate Housewives star Nicolette Sheridan and her fiancee, singer Michael Bolton, are VERY close to getting married - if they didn't already tie the knot this past weekend in Italy.
We love gadgets and this has got to be the ultimate gizmo but it actually has some nice applications.
It is a GSM doorbell - the device has a SIM inside and when someone comes to your door it makes a call to your mobile - you answer the call and speak to the person and if you are happy then you can open the door from wherever you are by dialling a pin code - neat
As well as the geek factor it also has practical applications for business, healthcare and consumers.

OK. If you own a business and haven't heard about Pay Per Call, then you're probably living under a rock. I discovered this awesome tool just before the Summer of 2006; and I tell you, Pay-per-call has gained an awesome popularity very very quickly; especially, among business owners that are wanting to target a more local audience. It is brilliant - I use it and it's truly worth taking a good close-up look at.The idea behind Pay per Call advertising is very simple: You, as an Advertiser, pay ONLY when an interested prospect calls you. How? Unlike Pay per Click, where an online user is taken to your Web site, with Pay per Call, an ad is displayed with a toll-free number. Now, this ad is clickable, but it takes that prospect to a small description page (that you create), with basic info about your company (service or product), and based on their interest or need, they pick up the phone and call on the spot using that toll-free number that gets routed to your office number, home number
ESPN's John Clayton is reporting that the San Francisco 49er's are close to signing cornerback, Nate Clements. The niners are really in need of adding depth to their secondary and signing Clements could really go along way to restoring their niner's swagger.Othe moves Clayton is reporting:The Atlanta Falcons have agreed to a deal with Ovie Mughelli that would make him the highest paid fullback in the NFL. The deal is said to be worth $18M over 6 years. The Jacksonville Jaguars and right tackle, Tony Pashos. The Jag's also re-signed their kicker Josh Scobee for a 5-year deal. The New England Patriots have released runningback Corey Dillon at his request. Dillon originally said that he was considering retirement, but I don't think anyone really bought that. I believe that he just wants one more shot at starting before he calls it a career. The Pat's are more than comfortable with handing the reins to rookie standout, Laurence Maroney."On behalf of the New England Patriots organizatio
Did I mention that my old primary school friend, Gwen is going to get married soon? If I've not mistaken, her engagement was last year in 2006 and her wedding is on this November 2007! She'll update me again when the date draws near, so I'll be update on this again in due time.
I seriously wonder how her engagement ring looks like. Damn. If only she informed me earlier I could have recommended her to this site. Their range of engagement rings and offers are amazing. And not forgetting free delivery, risk-free purchase, and online design tool!

The Japanese people attach great importance to the New Year season and is celebrated with great enthusiasm in Hawaii.
Mochi pounding is the biggest event of the New Year’s celebration. To pound mochi, sweet rice is soaked overnight then steamed until soft. Then it’s placed in the usu (big, deep bowl). One or two people pound the mochi while another person turns the mochi in the usu between the pounds and sprinkles some water on it. Baby Bells grew up since Ma Bell died. AT&T Jr and Verizon should snatch BellSouth and Qwest, and three years from now max, they somehow will have built an international stronghold in the wireless area.Vodafone will sell (Verizon, Vodafone KK), but also buy. As rumors revived, the French government released a report on potential targets from France's CAC40 companies. Among them, Vivendi Universal are enjoying their own headline news : the "Universal" part is dropped, and SFR's lifetime ad agency, Publicis, just snatched the France Telecom - Orange budget. Maurice Levy can split his teams but not his own self. The new budget can definitely mean bigger money, but the risk should be taken only if Levy is sure of getting the whole Orange, and not so sure of keeping the SFR business away from Vodafone adcos.Vivendi could sell their cash cow but if they want to fight as a European leader in broadcasting an increasing competition, the timing looks perfect.
